MUST HAVE'S For a Newbies first day
I couldn't find anything in the search engine but what "supplies" would you recommend a dancer for her first day?
I'm going to be auditioning in less than 2 weeks and am already writing down a list of things I should need in my locker for the first night
I already have:
-Baby wipes
- Outfit
-Heels
down on my list.
Anymore suggestions would be helpful.
:)

Body spray.
Super glue ( great to fix nails or a broken shoe )
Cosmetics. ( take only what you need to touch up )
Cootchie spray ( I don't use it, that Freshen up massengil stuff )
Hair brush/flat iron/hairspray ( for touch ups )
Money bag. There's some clear little purse like boxes you can get at Wal-Mart for eight dollars. or if you keep your money in your garter. Fold it over and rubber band it.
Lock for your locker
And a bag to put all this stuff in, so you can keep your work stuff separate from your civilian clothes.

rubber bands and paper clips for counting out your ones. Also a notebook full of hustle ideas if you want.

Thanks you guys for the replies.
bellasera, how did you find those posts?
Whenever I go through the search engine and use keywords I only get pieces of sentences through the threads and not the whole keyword post I was looking for.

Re: MUST HAVE'S For a Newbies first day
Click on Newbie Board, where this thread is posted. It is the 3rd post from the top started by Susan Wayward. Sometimes its too easy;)
ETA
Also not sure if you know this or not but, as a search tip you can go advanced and highlight the boards you want to search in under "search in forum(s)". So in this case you would want to click Stripping (was stripping general) then old down Ctrl on the keyboard and click Newbie Board so they are both highlighted. Then type in your key words. This will narrow your search.
I did the above and used the words 'first day bring baby wipes' and the thread I pointed you to came up in the results.
You might already know all of this, but just trying to be helpful :)

Re: MUST HAVE'S For a Newbies first day
seriously that newbie thread about what to bring really helped me out. i pretty much had everything on the list except a blanket/towel or something to sit on and really regretted not bringing one on my first day.

Re: MUST HAVE'S For a Newbies first day
Mini scissors. I bring Q-tips. Make sure your phone is charged. The newbie thread says it all.

Re: MUST HAVE'S For a Newbies first day
Bring a smile and the attitude that says "I'm gonna have fun and make money!".

Re: MUST HAVE'S For a Newbies first day
Tampons and scissors (to cut the string)
Hand sanitizer
Gum/Mints
Lotion
Body spray
Makeup (for your face and your body if needed)
Garters & RUBBER BANDS
Shoes/Outfits/Jewelry
Extra thongs
Water bottle
Medications (if you take any)
ALSO, most housemoms will have just about everything you will need. You have to tip them out anyhow (in most places), so if you DO forget something on accident - you might as well take advantage.

Q-tips &
baby wipes (these were mentioned too)
& a big ole suitcase to lug all this stuff in!

Re: MUST HAVE'S For a Newbies first day
A shawl or sweater ( I started carrying one to place on the chairs , I hate sitting my half way bare ass where other half way bare asses have been ). If your club has leather chairs and you sit awhile, your butt will sweat.
DO NOT arrive without a small purse for your cash. I overlooked it . My first night, I figured I could borrow one ( I travel and don't carry a purse , just keep everything in my pants pocket ) . I ended up putting my cash in a trident white gum container ( between the gum the the outside ). I worked my first night during a convention and there were no lockers , so I had no choice. I should have purchased one on the way to the club. I did get some laughs from my makeshift purse though.
Everyone seems to bring a lot more than I do. I just bring one pair of heels, 2 outfits, and a small makeup bag. My recently purchased stripper purse holds lipstick and gloss, base face makeup for touch ups, body spray , and deoderant. I can make it the whole night with what's only in my purse unless I want to change. I'd also suggest bringing a bottle of water. It can waste time to wait at the bar and you'll be so thristy sometimes that the small wait will drive you crazy.

Yeah, screw the lotion lol. If you must, put some on that morning or whatever but don't slather it on right before work. You'll probably be ok but the girls that do tricky pole tricks will be upset!
If you can, bring extra heels, or money to buy another pair in case yours break.

I wouldn't put it on immediatly before you did anything on the pole. We don't have poles or floorwork, so lotioning my legs before my shift is just for softness and doesn't have any negative sides to it! I use a body butter...yum! :)

I agree. I put on a little bit of lotion. make sure my skin is soft and not ashy.

Re: MUST HAVE'S For a Newbies first day
yeah-- I ONLY wore lotion at the club I worked at with no pole and no floorwork, but if your club has floorwork and/or poles- DO NOT wear lotion. Put it on like 4 hours before you get to the club so by the time you get there it's all absorbed.
