How do you treat SC waitresses/shot girls?
I'm getting a little too old for stripping. Well, maybe not old (I'm 23), but I need a break. It's not just monster customers really, but managers and strange beauty rituals, odd hours, undependable pay and so on. After 2 years of it, I'm taking a hiatus.
So, my club will probably let me waitress or sell shots. I really like that idea. I still love the clubs, the atmosphere, lights, music, people, attention and so on. I just want it in a lighter form - at least for awhile. I'm willing to take the pay cut for a kinda-sorta vacation.
But I always see the waitresses and shot girls getting groped at - or even egging customers on to do it :O Somtimes, some of the strange ones even sell dances. Shot girls let guys take pictures of their boobs, sit FOREVER with customers, and just really steal the dancer's attention! To the point where it hurts our money, even.
I'm kinda not going for that. I still want to talk to guys and look cute, but cut out a lot of the hoops I jump through as a dancer.
How do you interact with your serving girls? Do you expect them to act like strippers? Or even do more than some strippers?

Re: How do you treat SC waitresses/shot girls?
If they're prompt for drinks/food and polite, I tip well.
If they fetch me dancers, I tip better.
I otherwise don't interact with them much, since that's not why I'm there.

Re: How do you treat SC waitresses/shot girls?
Kitten, you might find that how they act in your club is going to be a lot more relevant to you than how they act with random guys in other parts of the country. In my club there is a core contingent of waitresses who have been there a really long time and would never do that partially because it is not the job they wanted when they agreed to waitress and I'm sure in some part because you have to be licensed to do that kind of thing. But that is not particularly relevant to the club you work in if they can and do.

None of that kind of stuff goes on when I'm at my club, but I'm never there past dinner time. Maybe it's different at night, but during the day they are just acting like any other waiters/waitresses. I don't expect them to act like a stripper for me. The shotgirl only works nights so I have no idea about that.
I think there is a lot less "shenanigans" going on for the day shift. Maybe that would be a better fit for you Perry? For that matter, the dayshift is different for the dancers as well...a different kind of hustle. Have you tried dancing on the dayshift?

Re: How do you treat SC waitresses/shot girls?
As an ex cocktail waitress and shot girl, I'll be honest and say I got more openly groped as a shot girl. Of course I've had my share of guys attempting to molest me in VIP during a dance ::) but I've never seen guys less afraid of being perverted jerks as I did as a shot girl. Especially because I gave shots out of my boobs, I always had guys trying to grab me, lick me, put a hand up my skirt while I'm sitting on their lap. It was not pretty. It was also a lot better money than when I was a cocktail waitress.

I second that. The dayshift at practically every club to which I have gone (except those in Las Vegas) are radically different than the nightshift.
And I have been in clubs where waitresses are just waitresses and where waitresses will get up and strip if you tip them. I remember one club in the South that let dancers waitress for one of their required shifts. That club only had waitresses that were only waitresses on Friday and Saturday nights since no dancer wanted to waitress on those "money nights". And the stripper/waitresses were a blast. They laughed, joked, flirted, and tipped the dancers. Added greatly to the up mood of the club. It was really apparent that they did view their waitressing as a short of a break. And most of the stripper/waitresses were really good waitresses. One stripper/waitress's opening line wasn't "What would you like to drink?" but "Which dancer would you like me to fetch?". ;D
And so few waitresses ever realize that they can make good tips by fetching dancers for us patrons. Rarely do waitresses ever inform me that they would be happy to fetch any dancer for me at the same time as they take my drink order. This should be their standard opening routine. "Good evening, sir. What would you like for your drink?" After hearing my order, "Also, sir, if you see any dancer you like, I would be happy to fetch her for you. I'll be right back with your drink. Enjoy the scenery." Then when bringing back my drink, "Here's your martini, sir. Now do you see any dancer you'd like me to fetch?"

Re: How do you treat SC waitresses/shot girls?
I spend most of my time at the stage or PD area so I don't interact much with waitresses.

Re: How do you treat SC waitresses/shot girls?
I treat SC waitresses & shot girls the same as I would at any restaurant or bar. Good service is always met with a good tip. And I'll always be extra generous to my regular waitresses.

Personally, I prefer my serving girls, to just be themselves. The SS in the club is so thick as it is that you could cut it with a knife.http://atypically.net/smilies/chainsaw.gif Often times, the waitresses are the only "life preserver" of normalcy I can find in the club.

Re: How do you treat SC waitresses/shot girls?
I enjoy the waitresses at my club (mostly). They are serving me the drinks that I want to buy. While I am always polite to the shot girls I find them annoying. They are trying to sell me something I don't want and are often very pushy even when I say "No thank you".

Re: How do you treat SC waitresses/shot girls?
My ATF has danced, tended bar, waitressed and been a VIP room hostess. FWIW, at 35 she still prefers dancing to any of the other gigs. One of the reasons is because she has found that dancers get treated better by management than support staff do. She did all of the jobs I mentioned in the same club and was shocked at how much of a second class citizen she became when she switched from dancing to working as a bartender/VIP hostess.
A break may still be a good idea for you. Just don't expect it to be much of a vacation...

Re: How do you treat SC waitresses/shot girls?
It seems the Shot girls are hated by all- custys and dancers.
I don't particularly interact with them and I guess they hate me anyways because I only order water and that doesn't add up very fast on the tab.
Although in my opinion, there always seems to be one or 2 waitresses that you wished were dancers. :-[

Oh my gosh. We have one of those. Gorgeous, tall, blonde and the most perfect teeth I've ever seen. She gets told by customers all time that they want to get dances and that she should be a dancer. Her response is "Why? I see you rejecting the girls here every week. You want me to be a dancer so you can do it to me too?"

Re: How do you treat SC waitresses/shot girls?
Lol! I probably shouldn't have said serving girls! "Get over here, wench!" :D
I've been doing mostly dayshifts. The slower pace is nice. I just need some time off dancing - but it's hard to take a break. I miss the club scene when I'm not there.

Have you considered managing a club of your own? On that note how many clubs are actually run by former strippes as opposed to guys in general?

Re: How do you treat SC waitresses/shot girls?
My favorite club has shot girls on Friday and Saturday night. They wear very short skirts and sit on my knee while I pull a shot out from their cleavage. While I do this, my fingertips slide up their thighs to the bottom of their booty. The shot is a dollar, I tip two dollars more, and I usually buy two or three shots in a row. All of the shot girls are dancers but are not dancing that night, and they can't give lap dances while they are shot girls. You can also ask the regular waitress to sell you a hot, and she will get the shot girl over to put one in the waitress' cleavage, or you can buy two shots and have them sandwich you between their cleavages. You could also choose to take the shot from the front of their skirt or the back of their skirt, but I prefer the cleavage. The dancers and the shot girls seem to get along just fine; in fact, I've had a dancer ask me if I wanted to wait for the shot girl before we went for my lap dances.
My only complaint is that the shots are usually some sickeningly sweet drink that makes me feel nauseous after the first five or ten. So I just ask the shot girl to set up a few with plain soda water. It is the delivery I enjoy, not the drink.

Re: How do you treat SC waitresses/shot girls?
Waitresses I tip well. I can't say it is out of altruism though. It is simple. I tip well, and in return the odds are the waitress brings me better drinks or brings them faster.
I also have been known to flirt mildly and note they could be dancers. It is meant as a compliment, nothing more complex then that. Translate as "you are cute or hot as any of the dancers here".
I don't know about shot girls. I haven't been in a club recently that has anything but drink waitresses.

Re: How do you treat SC waitresses/shot girls?
Could you bring me a [pepsi, ginger ale] please?
Thank you. The extra is for you.
Or...
Thanks for looking after me, but I'm waterlogged already. So I'll flag you again maybe in a half hour.

Re: How do you treat SC waitresses/shot girls?

This is pretty much the closest to my POV.
I think of women who are dancers totally different then women who are waitresses or shot girls. Although waitresses and shot girls wear sexy outfits, my tips are based strictly on their services as waitresses. I would never expect a waitress to sit on my lap or to try to feel her up or grope her. And I would never compare her to a dancer.

I'd love that! I really would appreciate it!

The ones I know flirt to get tips, but they don't talk for anymore than a few minutes and don't give anything more than a hug or kiss on the cheek(after a tip). However my club experience is limited.

Re: How do you treat SC waitresses/shot girls?
It varies from club to club around here. At some clubs, the waitresses and shotgirls only sell drinks, and do not interact too much on a personal level. At others, the shotgirls may be allowed to do private dances, or champagne rooms.
At one club, one of the shotgirls is my favorite LDer. When she starts working, her and I will usually do a few shots together, she will make a quick round to see who wants shots, and then we head back to the private area for about 10 dances. She will go topless and down to her thong in private, but noot take anything off on the main floor. She gives a better higher mileage LD than most of the dancers. She will sit with me when it is slow on the floor, and we will sit at the stage and tip the dancers.
At another club, I am a vip, and there is one hot bartender I like. When there is enough staff, and it is slow enough, the owner will let her do champagne rooms with me. I am the only person that she will do it with, she says she feels comfortable with me. This is a topless/pasty club, but she will go full nude on my lap and straddle me. She said the owner said it was ok. I've been friends with the owner for around 20 years, and sometimes he will cover her spot. She gives a good high mileage/gfe type champagne room, compared to most of the dancers.
At another club, I am also a vip, and usually sit in their vip lounge. There is one waitress that will sit and cuddle for around a half hour at a time, several times a night. I always tip her pretty good. She is only just 19, and a single mom with no help. Sometimes she shotgirls, and I do the old shots out of cleavage routine. They are not allowed to do dances or cr's there.
At another club, there is a bartender I like, and the owner will let her take a break for 1-2 hours, and we will go out somewhere for dinner and drinks. She will do cr's with me if it is slow enough, or sometimes the owner will just cover for her for a bit.
I still do my fair share of dances with the dancers too, especially at the couple of clubs where the non-dancers are not allowed to do dances or cr's.

Quite simply, I go in expecting to receive SS from the girls. I don't look at it as a good thing or a bad thing. It's just the way things work in a club. I never call out a girl on her SS. If you're able to visit a club with reasonable expectations, you'll never go home disappointed.
At the same time, I appreciate the balance a waitress can provide by presenting her real self.
We have different views on the necessity/existence of SS, thus leading to our disagreements on SCJ.

At the club by work, which I no longer go to, my favorite bartender's beauty put all of the dancers to shame. I still think of her sometimes.
