Kitty help
A lady found a mama cat and 5 kittens, one is no place to be found for 2 weeks, anyway I got them yesterday, 4 kittens and mama cat, it was too hot so I left them in the garage with the fan going and it was fine, well the kittens are super friendly, I gave all of them baths, they were full of fleas but I can't for the life of me get MAMA CAT!!! I need to bring her in! she has had the pill for fleas and she was fine but now she's a bit well she runs from me, I reach my hand and she doesn't hiss or try to scratch but after that one time I got bit and scratched and had to go to the hospt I am a bit scared, so what do I do? :(
I got pics if anyone wants to see. Oh and I have had to pull out things and move things and my garage now is a royal MESS! so please help me!
Oh and btw hubby said it was ok to have these in cause they are just too little to be out and they have a good chance, so for 2 weeks we are fostering, a lady donated a crate for mama cat and another person is donating a big diff level crate for the babies.

I asked on craigslist for a dog crate cause, let me tell you we are swamped, since we are a no kill shelter and most of the resources are used for medical we are a bit tight and one lady gave me a crate so I will take pics in a second of her now in a bigger place. Kittens are eating I can hear them nibbling away and oh we need names sooo I will check out he list but if anyone wants to jump and name then you are more than welcomed to do so :)

Omg, they are adoreable. I so wish I had the time and space to foster, my flat is full up with the 4 cats I have already. :(

Re: Kitty help
Name the mum cat Marnie
;)
If the mum cat is the black and white cat that is... hehehehe

Re: Kitty help
You know the mom cat is small for a full grown kitty, she is the one in the crate with the pillow and such.
The kittens are the 2 black ones and the 2 stripes. The one with white and black is Oreo.

Re: Kitty help
She looks like a baby herself :) But I would say that's not her first litter then. They're all pretty nice lookin' kitties :)
But just in case you ever need to wash a cat again -
I used to live in a house with a big spa bath. If you have access to one - Fill it and toss them in so that they bob under when they hit the water. Wait for them to swim to the side then haul 'em out. Lather them up... And then just one more.. By the time they swim to the side again they are all nice and squeaky clean and ready to be bundled straight into some nice toasty warm towels. There, all done!
No bullshit and it's all over with so quick!! For mine it was less traumatic for them the wrestling in the sink for X amount of time. Plus I had 4 cats then and I'm only one woman.
No spa bath? (Yeah me neither.) I only have 2 now but I just pre-fill buckets of water at the right temp. (I learned that from those wonderful washing in the sink days - with kitties constantly attempting to scald or freeze themselves as they tried desperately to escape.) I put a towel under the door and I use a little bucket and a sponge. They wander around and I just wash 'em where they stand. (Hence the towel under the door.)
What I've noticed is - seems they actually really don't give a shit about being washed. They just don't like being held down in the bottom of a sink and half drowned. :) Which is fair enough.
Loopy likes it (Until it's time to wash his tooties. He does not like washing his tooties he reckons?)
And Scuff's only problem with it is that she doesn't like particular people seeing her all wet! It's highly mortifying apparently? (She's like "No! No! Don't let them see me!") She does love showing off her soft clean fur to them though. Once she's sure it has dried.
