Selling stuff through the Internet
I mean.... aside from Ebay.
I have soooooooo many stripper clothes, normal clothes, shoes, boots, etc. They are all new or very gently worn. I have to get rid of them or I will go insane.
How do you sell stuff over the interwebs?
How do you figure out what shipping should cost?
Where do you get packaging stuff like the bags that Flirt ships stuff in?
Do you make a Paypal account, do you ask for checks?
How can I make sure I get rid of all this stuff ASAP?
I am so overwhelmed... I don't know what to do. :(

When I ship something for ebay I usually just pick a number for shipping. Sometimes i underestimate shipping and sometimes I overestimate shipping. As long as the buyer knows up front what you're charging there shouldn't be an issue. Good luck.
To be honest, I don't understand Ebay. I can't figure it out. They take a percentage? Wtf is up with that?

^^^^ +1 !
That and Google! Google is everywhere..... now they have their own browser even.
I found eBay as a seller to be terrible as I'm not a powerseller just someone who has crap to try to sell ... so ... I moved onto OZtion.com.au (tho' I'm going to eventually delete my account as I don't have anything to sell).
(Even better, I found a friend who will sell my stuff for $4 per item and a percentage of the final sale price. I could probably get a discount for a huge amount of stuff instead of $4 per item...)
Craigslist for the US is good too.
Yes you will need a PayPal account. eBay without Paypal.. good luck!
As for shipping and all that related ... go to your local post office and they can help you out with cost.

How about if I tried to sell stuff on SW. I how can I predict the cost of shipping?
Re: Selling stuff through the Internet
^ You can go to www.USPS.com and they'll give you prices based on type of shipping, weight, etc. That's how I price my Ebay auction shipping.

Oh cool!^^^ Thanks for the tip!
Re: Selling stuff through the Internet
Buy an inexpensive postage scale and cheap boxes from wherever you can find them. I get most of mine at Lowe's but they might be a tad bigger than you need. www.usps.com also has a shipping calculator and USPS has some great shipping rates. For example FedEx just quoted me $325 to ship a box to Greece and US Post Office shipped it there for $85!
I've had great luck using Paypal, Ebay & Craigslist since 2000. Not one bad experience yet and I sell a bunch of bike parts which can be very expensive and heavy. Be careful however, there are always risks conducting business online. My tips would be: Take payment through Paypal and always ship only to the verified (Paypal) address of the buyer, place a disclaimer in all Ebay auctions "No zero or negative feedback bidders please.", box up your items as small as you can without damaging them, use bubble wrap, and be very leery of ebayers with less than 98% positive feedback.
Do not use UPS for shipping outside the US!
Communicate with your customers especially if they send seemingly rude, impatient, or derogatory e-mails. I find that the rare occasions that customers are angry can be resolved with a little tact and patience on my part.

Give SW girls at shot at your stuff first ! Use paypal ( it protects both parties even though it's a pain in ass to set up). Packages weighing about 5-8 pounds ( only packages with multiple items or heavy boots might wear more ... most outfits would weigh even less ) are about $8-$10 at ups ( with them packing it up ) if the person is on the same side of the country as you. It's about $14-$15 if they are on a different side of the country ( USA ... not positive where you are). That includes ups covering the package for damages up to $100. You also get a tracking number for everything.
