DJ's: Flogging Molly? (or something similar?)
DJs: are there any songs by them that you could get away with playing in the club? I know 99% of their stuff is way too...umm...over the top for the SC :P
But are there maybe one or two songs that you think are play-able for stage? Anything?
...or if not, any suggestions for similar but more SC-friendly artists/songs?

Hmm the DJs play that one song about him being a sailor and loosing his leg here a lot. :)

lol which one? Queen Anne's Revenge? They have pirate/seafarer songs aplenty. :P
I think "man with no country" would be passable in the club...maybe?

Should I take this silence as a resounding "NO, don't ever play FM in the club"? :P
Re: DJ's: Flogging Molly? (or something similar?)
OK, I confess I'm not sure I have heard them, but I am vastly amused at the title of the thread, since I have an intriguing friend named Molly whom I have been discussing pirates with recently. I'm not sure if she's into being flogged, though. She does seem to have a very charming wild streak.
Anyway I need to check this band out, especially after that, lol. Then maybe I can tell you if I would play them.
;D

Honestly I've only ever played them on or around St Patrick's Day. Usually with some Pogues or something like that. I don't know them well enough to know which ones would really fly. I have several but I think 3 or 4 are really fast and 1 is a shoot-yourself-in-the-face type drinking song.
