Terrified!
I'm going in tonight for my first night back to stripping, and I'm TERRIFIED!!! I've got my hair and nails just right and even picked out a new outfit, but I've put on some weight. Truthfully, I'm about the same size now that I was when I first started dancing, so it's not that bad, but I'm still nervous as hell! This is so nerve-wracking!
I'm so scared, but so excited all at the same time!

Eh, you'll lose the weight in no time with dancing. Best of luck to you!

Re: Terrified!
It's scary when you first step back into it, but it is like riding a bike. It's just a new beginning and a time for you to do the best for yourself! Don't make the same mistakes twice as they say. Good luck and get that money like there's no tomorrow because who knows where the economy is going!

Re: Terrified!
I work very rarely. I should go in at least a little bit more, because it's as though I'm starting as a new dancer (the getting ready/trip there/first hour or so) almost every time I dance. After I do my first dance or two, everything just kind of falls into place and it all comes back! Actually, much better because I think guys notice that not just going through motions, bored, jaded, etc. Use it to your advantage-you'll have the energy and excitement in your hustle. As for the extra weight, if only a little, get rid of the thought, as only the thought will hold you back.

Re: Terrified!
Hey, it took me 3 nights to hit my groove when I first moved to vegas. It took me like, five nights after I took a break and then came back! But I hit it. And I think you will too. Don't worry about a thing. You'll see. :P

Re: Terrified!
I'm going back on October 1st! I took almost 6 weeks off for some new boobage. I've put on 3lbs since I couldn't exercise and lost all my muscle tone (and yes, that's after deducting implants) so I'm pretty nervous too. I'm a perfectionist. I doubt anyone will notice anything though. Especially not with new DD's!
It's the nerves that kill ya. And I agree with the "riding a bike" statement. I've taken quite a few hiatuses from dancing, most between 4 and 8 weeks. It's hard for the first week, but it's WONDERFUL $wise for like a month after that because you don't "reek" of burnout.
Ah stripper burnout. Smells like slow-cooked lycra with a hint of Aqua-net. Drizzle with Grey Goose/Mac reduction, and serve over lucite heels.
