okay what did he do that was so wrong
He didn't do anything that deserved prison time. His porn was gross to me but he certainly didn't deserve this. WTF is wrong with America? Oh yeah, the Religious Right.
This is interesting. He went to jail for portraying women as underage girls in his videos. He should fight this one, as he didn't actually break any laws currently on the books.
While adult pornography isn't illegal, it can be prosecuted as obscene under the Miller test, named for the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court case Miller vs. California.
Defining obscenity
The 1973 landmark U.S. Supreme Court case Miller vs. California established a standard three-part legal definition of obscenity that jurors must use in considering the case against Paul F. Little, also known as Max Hardcore, and MaxWorld Entertainment Inc.: By community standards, does the material appeal to the prurient interest; is it patently offensive sexual conduct defined by state law; and does the work, taken as a whole, lack serious literary, artistic, political or scientific value?
^^^ Does any porn have literary, artistic, political, or scientific value?
I know he'll fight this though.
Touche! 8)
I never got a chance to even see his website! What was so extreme and hardcore about it?
Extremely degrading BDSM stuff... Face fucking to the point of puking, simulated Lolita fantasies, simulated gang rape type stuff, etc. Really violent and twisted.
But... some people like that! Even *gasp* some women do. If the actresses/actors were over 18 and not coerced into performing, and compensated fairly, then I just don't see the injustice.
^^^ Haha, yeah it's certainly not for everyone. Eek.
So he didn't hurt anyone or it wasn't kiddie porn. So whats the big deal. Everyone is in to something so what is the big deal.
*I have never seen his website or watch any of the porn* Is it really that bad.
What is a Lolita fantasy?
A Lolita fantasy is a penchant for underaged girls.
His stuff is pretty bad and degrading. I've seen a couple of his videos: puking, pissing on girls' faces, etc, that sort of stuff. Definitely not for many people, myself included.
Nonetheless, I don't see why he can be convicted for producing distasteful material if no laws were broken.
Oh okay.
Problem with that imaging is that is may 'increase the demand' for it. If real pictures are already taken, the deed is done. If you see it, you didn't necessarily take the pictures and it is only digital image. Etc. And all those arguments about not actually taking part in the deeds. Limiting this to real images/videos would not make a dent in the animation/virtualization of such damaging material. But what is being done and needed is a system that scares perv out of looking for it and so reduces the frequency of its production, not only denies the transmission of such materials. Problem is that it is NOT working. So anything that looks like it is being targeted. Even with entrapment being part of their arsenal of tricks.
But it was on the net why does the state have anything to do with it.
is it patently offensive sexual conduct defined by state law; and does the work, taken as a whole, lack serious literary, artistic, political or scientific value?
Ever notice why in a standard porn mag, there's 100 pages of smut, then a mysterious six page article on Indian Casinos or the WWE, followed by 100 more pages of smut?
"Taken as a whole" is why that article is there.
Maybe I retarted I still don't get their are plenty of porn sites on the net. Are they gonna start prosecuting everyone now. What is the big deal so it was so nasty freaky ass porn to each his own if you wanna watch that shit then watch it. It seems like it is a infringment of his civil rights. Isn't America a free country.
^^^ I wholeheartedly agree.
Thanks doc-catfish for the quick explanation. It's hard to think of examples like that on most internet porn sites, though.
I agree with this guy:
"Well, yeah, I’m not a fan of obscenity laws either. The fact that this guy could be prosecuted only on that ground, rather than for his abuse of women, is disturbing on several levels."
wow that's crazy.
is still up and running...
Definitely not my genre of porn... But, hey, whateva floats ya boat... (as long as kids and animals aren't being harmed...)
I just viewed a couple of clips... wow... now the feds are going to be knocking at my door...
