a black man was running. you know, the guys who are poor tippers and if there's too many of them coming into a mixed club 'it's bad for business'.
remember?
obama's momma may be white, but he's plenty black for all the white people who are still mad one of 'those people' got the presidency.
that's all it boils down to. (since most of the threads are slagging on obama rather than celebrating the historical awesome of the election).
I would argue that this year's election involved a MAJOR potential change in financial policies being proposed by one of the presidential candidates. Arguably, when implemented, those new policies will have a large negative effect on both 'prime' strip club customers and on self-employed full time dancers who fully comply with IRS rules regarding the taxation of their dancing incomes. In fact, there has arguably NEVER been a single event with this large of a potential negative impact on the exotic dancing industry. Therefore, it's not all that surprising that the election ... and the new financial policies that will now stem from the election ... is the subject of many threads and discussions at SW.
Wow.
Just because people despise the man (I'm one), does not mean that it is a racially motivated hate. Just the implication is ridiculous.
Obama is an extreme left wing liberal who ran as a very moderate liberal. His actions before the election began (and now that he has won) speaks volumes. So please, don't tarnish a hatred for his policies by representing and labeling it as a hatred for his skin ...

his policies are pretty mainline establishment, if you actually look to sources other than freerepublic.com to find out what they are. he is practically identical to mccain on foreign policy, scary and sad as that is, for example.
if anything, obama is clinton redux, very centrist in terms of where's he going to go with the presidency. he's not a boat-rocker, sorry.
which again just kinda brings it back there to race. the actual facts indicate he'll be pretty centrist, but you don't want to gum up your strawbama by looking them up, so you froth that he's kucinich in blackface or whatever.
i'm pretty sure that its about race.... because all the obama threads (no matter how far the topic is from race)... end up haven't arguements about race within them....
its not outrageous at all... and anyone who says the anger isn't stemming from race is pretty much oblivious...
it tickles me that there wasn't nearly as much discussion about him pre-election as there is post election it seems.he's going to be the president .if you bitch he's going to be the president.if you don't bitch he's going to be the president ....so really wtf is the point????
EXACTLY!!! what i was gonna say!!!!
why are people arguing so intently on things that they can't do shit about... i mean, last time i checked we were strippers... and unless you are planning to dance for obama and slip something in his drink...you aren't gonna change anything... its like a politician arguing about whats wrong but not saying what he is gonna do about it...
what are the strippers (and customers, i guess) of stripper web gonna do about obamas presidency besides bitch and moan???
... I've already state what I am 'going to do' about Obama's presidency. Move as much of my assets out of the USA as possible before the end of 2008. Then move myself out of the USA at some point in January 2009. As you indirectly point out, this is the only option open to me as a 'retired' stripper to minimize the personal damage from Obama's announced policy changes.Quote:

How are expressing your opinions and views and then explaining why and debunking fallacious beliefs considered starting trouble or being racially motivated?
Get the chip off your shoulder and actually listen to what is being said, debate what you don't agree with, and stop trying to make everything either 'dems vs repubs' or 'black vs white'.
Anytime anything is said that is flattering to Obama, it trickles down to either a supposed hatred of black people or a partisan biased view. Can't someone disagree with your views without it being an over-reaching racial bigotry or political agenda?

because the forums have gotten out of control with "expressed feelings"... sometimes its good to just keep it to yourself....especially when it starts arguements instead of debates and starts to hurt people.
and also, when people are ASKING you to stop... she says she wants to
"help" the girls on here... but the reality is.... she isn't goin to change anyones mind
and its not me who is starting this back vs. white and dem vs. repub arguements... read through the forums... it usually starts with... obama won because he is black... and then from there it gets out of hand
ps... "obama won because he is black" or "because of white guilt"...is NOT flattering....
lol, what planet do u live on???
I agree that arguments that hurt people's feelings should be kept under control, but only if it is intentional. If a subject comes up, without malice, that hurts someone's feelings then that person should simply leave those threads alone or 'toughen up' a bit.
Again, if you are willing to be a part of a thread enough to ask someone to stop posting their opinions, then the onus is on you to either toughen up or leave.
Without going back and checking each and every thread, I couldn't say that you did or did not start the 'black vs white' debates. Regardless, I didn't mean to imply that you did if my post came across that way. I have witnessed you get irritated because someone had a different view than you ... and instead of addressing their opinions and trying to debunk them, you label them and try and dismiss their view as not having merit. I'm not accusing you of being 'wrong' as we all do that on occasion ... it happens when 'touchy' subjects come up. It is part of being on an internet forum ...
I never said those statements were flattering. I should have said that almost anytime anything is said about Obama ... it trickles down, blah, blah, blah.
Narcissus
no, i get angry when people are ignorant for no reason... people have brought up a handful of good points within these forums when speaking about obama's POLICIES and not his race....
and i replied with, "i don't know, we will just have to wait and see"
but its only been a handful... most of them are stupid retard arguements with peole straining themselves to find something wrong with obama
or people talkin ignorantly about race issues in ways that i find quite offensive...
Arguably, at least a few of the girls who read the SW boards are serious dancers who A) have been working very hard to earn and save their money, and B) follow IRS rules in regard to reporting their dancing and investment incomes and paying appropriate taxes. As I posted above, the economic changes that have arguably already occurred as the result of the election (i.e. the dow dropping nearly 1000 points since election day) plus the announced economic and tax changes that will follow early next year arguably pose an unprecedented threat to both A) and B) . Understanding the threat, and taking prudent action, may make it possible for such girls to avoid losing the 'fruits' of years worth of lap dances and frugal spending habits !Quote:
then leave. what does that have to do with any of us???
and if you are leaving, why do you insist on still complaining and groaning and starting trouble??? Its not gonna matter once you get out...
Granted, for girls who view dancing as a short term supplemental income source, for girls who do not follow IRS rules in regard to reporting their dancing incomes, or for girls who do not dance, the present and future consequences of the recent election will have far less impact.
I'm honestly not trying to be rude or insulting- you certainly have a right to your own opinions, after all- but it seems strange to me that you voted for Obama and then proceeded to tear him to shreds in almost every thread here the second he won the election. You've explained why you voted for him, I get that, but it still seems inconsistent that you're bitching about the fact that you got the result you voted for.
That doesn't make much sense to me either....
then make a thread called "I think the girls or sw should move out of the country and here is why..."
and update as obama goes along and fuck things up
because he is our president and people either have to deal with that or get the hell out right???
so its just unnessecary to make a million threads a day and flood the forums with something that has only one objective in mind...
of the top 20 threads in the first page of member's area right now, exactly four were started by me. Of those four, one thread about a court ruling re politically correct illegal immigrant references has minor references to Obama. A second thread about the GM bailout has similar minor references to Obama. Granted that the third and fourth threads were directly focused on Obama. However, this hardly constitutes "a million threads a day".
