suddenly I am inspired to start wearing red more at the club!
While I always prefer to wear black, when I wore white,I made more money than in any other color. A coworker,a tall, thin brunette named Juliet always wore white or light blue. She was ALWAYS the top seller. But if I come out of retirement,I'd definitely where more red! Harlow
sheesh! that's WEAR more red not where-brain cramp, sorry!!!
One of my best customers always asks me to wear my red Jessica Rabbit gown....and I do! It works!
I am the oppisite! I always make more money in outfits that don't glow under the blacklights, like white or neon colors. But it's mostly mental. I feel like I can lay low in the shadows then pounce on my prey out of nowhere, they never see it coming lol! Also I'm less noticable to the other girls every time I'm taking a custy back to VIP,(being a top earner can cause some jealousy and even animosity oftentimes) But worst still is how I feel like when I wear glowing outfits everyone, esp. custies can see if I'm not making money, cause there's nowhere to hide! I am obsessed with the "always looking like I'm in high demand" thing that I learned on here, so if I am (heaven forbid!) between dances or waiting to go on stage next, i feel like a freakin' glowing loser being seen by all as the girl no one wants to spend money on:-[ Does anyone else experience this phenomonom? I know this going off topic a little, but yeah...does what color outfit you're wearing really affect your money os is it all a mindset/confidence thing?
I sell clothes and I've noticed that (and this might sound horrible) but I can stereotype the girls into clothing categories. Who likes what and why.
Black, white, and red are the three top sellers, with pink not far behind.
How you look is determined by how you feel. I've seen a perfectly stuffed sausage make $$$$, because she thought she looked AMAZING!! I've also seen "Barbie" make nothing because she was caught up in all of her "flaws".
Red is a good color for me, and known to stimulate apetite and desire (hence many resturants use it in their interiors, and it's the traditional hooker color)... but I don't make SHIT in red!
I do great in blue, green, hot pink, gold, black, and white though.
I NEVER wear black... why? Because there usually will be 2/3 of the girls on any given night who will wear a fully black outfit/dress.
I like to stand out and usually wear white, baby pink, or hot pink. Those are my only colors and I always stand out in them, hence custies look at me instead of the girls in black.
I wear white, baby pink, and red. Baby pink looks white under the lights. I also wear white shoes. I do believe the red has power in a strip club, but I also think white and light pink do as well.
I love white because it glows but isn't too flashy. I agree about wearing black... Too many other girls wear it!
my skin glows faintly but noticeably under black light because i'm so pale, so whenever i wear glowing or neon or white outfits, i feel like i'm just glaring to look at. thus, i prefer to wear black, despite many other girls wearing it. the contrast with my skin tone just looks so much better.
Red is my signature color. I wear a little bit of it whenever I can. It's always been my biggest money maker everywhere I work, except for the club I'm at right now. Honestly, I'm having the hardest time figuring out a tried and true money maker at my current club . . . *frown*
I wore red last night because of this thread and had a GREAT night!
No wonder red has always made me feel the most confident!
I wear it probably 3/4 of the time.
Now is the season for red! It seems like guys like bright colors. If I wear a black outfit though, alot of times I will wear a pair of red heels.
I love red, and get lots of positive responses when I wear it. It's a powerful color and black is pretty sexy too. I think pink signifies, cuteness, and the nice girl next door.
2 things...
1... Britney I haven't seen you post on here in forever!! Nice to hear from you again!
2... I bank in the one red outfit I have and haven't worn it in a while. I find red kinda ugly in the club but I seem to do well in it so I'll give in another go this week!
 So true..... so many bitches are hung up on the "mysterious, classy" look. Somehow they fail to realize that more than half the other girls are wearing the same thing... in my neck of the woods... black & lacy is the trend. It's very sexy... but becomes way boring when everyone else is doing it.... plus those gals tend to blend into the shadows.
While I happen to be a hot blonde, who looks amazing in black lace..... I know better than to blend into the crowd (or the club decor). My best money-making outfits are bright and obnoxious.... even if I think I look silly guys take notice and spend spend spend. Who's mysterious now?
Oh.... and speaking of red.... for me it is not a money making color. Maybe guys "expect it" I do well in green and purple.... as well as other jewel tone shades. I guess red seems contrived in the strip club... on me anyways.
;)
I think it depends on the person. Maybe if I worked in normal lighting I would try all red, but since I work under black lighting, I go for colors that glow and white is at the top of the list. I dunno, I just feel more confident in clothes I can see myself in from across the room. White is such a clean, pure color. Everybody loves the bride. I use it habitually. I like neons, but generally try to where white or white prints as I think it is more attractive.
It's too bad that I always feel not so sexy and awkward in red. I've actually had a female customer tell her that she really wants to see me wear a red outfit. Come to think of it, I actually don't really feel comfy in any outfit besides black or baby pink...not even white.
Thank you Cassandra and Carly!
I also read somewhere that wearing outfits that are not symmetrical can detract from the male's perception of "perfect" However, I do very well in my two rhinestone salsa dresses.
I think it all boils down to catching their eye by standing out as being one of the best dressed. I notice a lot of girls at my new club wearing neon fishnet. Yes it makes them stand out in the black light, but lots of criss-crossing lines isn't genetically programmed in the male mind as "attractive."
My one black robe that I own, I jazz up with a sparkly rhinestone gstring. Yes it's black, but there's still something to grab the attention.
I wore nothing but red/black in high school..... this could explain A LOT.
i just ordered a red sequined dress! i'm excited.
