Re: wearing red = making more $$$?
I bought a new red gown last night and I was definitely a guy magnet. I only saw a little increase in money, but I didn't seem to have to work as hard to get it as I do in my black gown. I'm definitely going to take that sexy little thing for another spin :) and another, and another lol

Re: wearing red = making more $$$?
Ok I just bought 3 red mini dresses, a red gown, red shoes, red garter, and red t-backs. Tomorrow is historically a night of suck, but maybe the red will see me through.
EDIT: No. Not that kind of suck.

Re: wearing red = making more $$$?
That article is totally true and I've known this for awhile. If you think about major sex symbols in our culture, red is somehow always attached to them--red lips, red heels, the girl in the red dress (from the Matrix movie), the red hair of Jessica Rabbit....all sex symbols that accentuated their sexiness with red. If you wear red--not burgandy, or a muted tone--if you wear BRIGHT CRIMSON and take time to observe how the world treats you you'll DEFINATELY find that more people give you the "eyes".
I've always loved red. It's always been my favorite color; well, red and black that is. Black represents power and stoicism, and red brings the sex. Those two colors have always best represented me and have always been major (if not all) of my waredrobe colorings.
BUT when it comes to wearing red at work, I've found that sometimes I make more and sometimes it's too overwhelming. But I do have red and black hair, so if I wear red it's sometimes just too much and I get labeled as the "gothic chick" or the "punk rock girl" which is fine, but generally once I'm stereotyped as that, half of my potiental clintele is isolated. So while I can wear red and be successful at work, I have to keep it in moderation--i.e. wear different colored jewerly, different colored shoes, polish ect. Right now, and most always, I wear red/black/white accessories and have red polish and red hair. So I just can't overload it.
And I try to at least once in the night sport some pink or something super girly to tone it all down, because mainly, the red I wear is sporty--red tube socks, straight up bikinis. I am not girly and I really own nothing with lace or rufffles on it so with a powerful color like red, sometimes I need to take a break and put on something more femmy and work around in it for a bit, so the custies can see that I'm not SOOO overwhelmingly sexual and powerful. Because, you know, men in strip clubs are pussies. They want you to be sexual of course, but if you come across as TOOO sexual, they get scared. It's like they want you to flirt, but not TOO hard. Like with everything in our society, men want us to be virgins and whores at the same time.
So I guess what I'm saying is that yes, red does increase sexual vibrations but USE IT IN MODERATION because it is a very strong color and can easily overwhelm the pussy ass customers in any given strip club.

Re: wearing red = making more $$$?
I used to have a long red gown that I wore FOREVER and it was always my money gown, and some bitch stole it. I have never been able to replace that particular gown. I've had others and done well in them, but nothing quite the same as that one.

Red outfit report!
I went in on my mandatory Monday to try out the first night in my powerhouse red outfits.
Upon reaching work, I realized that I left my red shoes at home on the counter. Bummer!
Still, I put on a red mini dress, red t-back, red garter, and ...black... shoes, and hit the floor to see what they would do.
First prowl around the club, I run into a guy who basically says "Hi, do you want to go to VIP?"
An hour later, I pry $240 out of him (You didn't tell me you charged by the hour!... whatever)
I do another prowl around the club and find an out of towner who invites me to a table and gets me a drink right away. (meanwhile we dance while we wait for the waitress)
With $300 in hand before 9pm, I headed to the dressing room and proceeded to lounge around until close. I did peek my head out a couple times, and got a good look at the non-prospects during my stage rotation. Let's just say it was a good thing I got my money before everyone else decided it was time to make gas $$$ or kill the customers while trying. :P
Red = MONEY!!! :D

Re: wearing red = making more $$$?
OMG... I'm actually geeking out a little cause I haven't worked since last week and am DYING TO GET BACK TO WORK. Seriously. In between S&GR, and new clothes and working out, I am super pumped.
I showed the red gown to a friend who literally gasped. ( Hint, boys: THAT'S THE RIGHT REACTION TO A HOT GIRL. Gasp, and then give her all your money }:D )
I'm working day shift wed and fri per a customer request but do y'all wanna shop thursday?

Re: wearing red = making more $$$?
So I finally wore my new sparkly red gown to work last night... and it was D-E-A-D... DEAD..
With 40+ girls on the floor. And maybe.... 100 custies through the door all night?
omg.
And like 10 girls were wearing red, as well...
And I still banked. Like, more than I made last friday night. Funny enough, no one seemed to notice what I was wearing, but I think the color made a difference in how I acted. I felt more confident and aggressive.
Like "aww hell no you're not saying no to me, I'm in red bitch!" LOL.
Red = $$$$$$$

Re: wearing red = making more $$$?
Hot pink is just as good as red in my book. Pink always reminds guys of their favorite place!

Re: wearing red = making more $$$?
Just got this last week:
http://content.adameve.com/lingerie/...5-350x350.jphe
Wore it with black 6 inch heels, red garter and red T-bar, some dangly silver chandelier earrings, silver necklace and my hair down. I FELT like $money$
Made almost $400 on a slow Thursday with a lot of other girls working. Almost entirely off this one guy who said I caught his eye and that I really seemed to carry myself with a lot of class. That made me feel pretty good ;D
-
Re: wearing red = making more $$$?
Ok, so I'm really excited to get this red outfit on Friday, that one of the girls is selling me. She always buys stuff and then gets home and hates it, so I'm buying it from her cause it looks cute as hell on me.
I'll let you all know how my weekend goes after I get it!

Re: wearing red = making more $$$?
Guys definately throw themselves at me in red. I worked monday night and we had maybe 50 customers all night. I definately didn't do amazing, but I know I was one of the top earners and all I did was wait for guys to come up to me. /:O

Re: wearing red = making more $$$?
blue is my money color. I have alot of tatoos, and I feel like red is too loud on me when I am already loud emough w/ my tattos. I bank in blue.
-
Re: wearing red = making more $$$?
I've just bought a gorgeous long red dress (I work in a gown club) after reading this and several customers last week telling me they think it would look hot (my hair is blonde and my skin is quite tanned so hopefully this should work) BUT I usually have my nails blood red- what colour am I going to do them now?!
-
Re: wearing red = making more $$$?
When I wear red, I always make much more money and sell VIPs before I get to say hi. So I do believe there is something powerful and magical in the color red, for me, not sure about others. There is this one red metallic romper I wear that sells everytime. Then when I wear black or other colors it's just mediocre.

Re: wearing red = making more $$$?
I found this interesting information on a marketing website /www.precisionintermedia.com.
After reading all of this it makes me wonder what color would be best according to this system for our industry and target market in particular.
Would the best color be red since it "makes you more noticeable" and is the color of passion and sex?
or could it be blue since people tend to "trust" blue more and trust is a mandatory part building rapport for a sale?
What do you ladies think about that?
Red vs. Blue?
from a marketing website:
Psychology of Color: Black
Black is the color of authority and power, stability and strength. It is also the color associated with intelligence (doctorate in black robe; black horn rimmed glasses, etc.) Black clothes make people appear thinner. It's a somber color sometimes associated with evil (the cowboy in the black hat was almost always the "bad guy"). In the western hemisphere black is associated with grieving. Black is a serious color that evokes strong emotions; it is easy to overwhelm people with too much black.
Psychology of Color: White
For most of the world this is the color associated with purity (wedding dresses); cleanliness (doctors in white coats) and the safety of bright light (things go bump in the night ... not the bright sunshine!). It is also used to project the absence of color, or neutrality. In some eastern parts of the world, white is associated with mourning. White associated with creativity (white boards, blank slates). It is a compression of all the colors in the color spectrum.
Psychology of Color: Gray
Gray is most associated with the practical, timeless, middle-of-the-road, solid things in life. Too much gray leads to feeling mostly nothing; but a bit of gray will add that rock solid feeling to your product. Some shades of gray are associated with old age, death, taxes, depression or a lost sense of direction. Silver is an off-shoot of gray and often associated with giving a helping hand, strong character (sterling in-fact!).
Psychology of Color: Red
If you want to draw attention, use red. It is often where the eye looks first. Red is the color of energy. It's associated with movement and excitement. People surrounded by red find their heart beating a little faster and often report feeling a bit out of breath. It's absolute the wrong color for a baby's room but perfect to get people excited. Wearing red clothes will make you appear a bit heavier and certainly more noticeable. (Some studies show red cars get more tickets but that maybe because the red car owners drive faster or the ticket giver notices the movement of the red car more prominently). Red is not a good color to over use but using a spot of red in just the right place is smart in some cases (one red accent in a otherwise neutral room draws the eye; a red tie with a navy blue suit and white shirts adds just the right amount of energy to draw the eye (no wonder it's the "uniform of the day" at the seats of government). Red is the symbol of life (red blooded life!) and, for this reason, it's the color worn by brides in China. Red is used at holidays that are about love and giving (red roses, Valentines hearts, Christmas, etc.) but the true color of love is pink. Pink is the most calming of all colors -- often our most dangerous criminals are housed in pink cells as studies show that color drains the energy and calms aggression. Think of pink as the color of romance, love, and gentle feelings, to be in the pink is to be soothed.
Psychology of Color: Blue
Ask people their favorite color and a clear majority will say blue. Much of the world is blue (skies, seas). Seeing the color blue actually causes the body to produce chemicals that are calming; but that isn't true of all shades of blue. Some shades (or too much blue) can send a cold and uncaring message. Many bedrooms are blue because it's calm, restful color. Over the ages blue has become associated with steadfastness, dependability, wisdom and loyalty (note how many uniforms are blue). People tend to be more productive in a blue room because they are calm and focused on the task at hand. Some studies are showing that weight lifters can lift more weight in a blue gym - in fact, nearly all sports are enhanced in blue surroundings.
Psychology of Color: Green
The color of growth, nature, and money. A calming color also that's very pleasing to the senses. Dark forest green is associated with terms like conservative, masculine and wealth. Hospitals use light green rooms because they too are found to be calming to patients. It is also the color associated with envy, good luck, generosity and fertility. It is the traditional color of peace, harmony, comfortable nurturing, support and well paced energy.
Psychology of Color: Yellow
Cheerful yellow the color of the sun, associated with laughter, happiness and good times. A person surrounded by yellow feels optimistic because the brain actually releases more seratonin (feel good chemical in the brain) when around this color. It is the color associated with optimism but be careful with yellow, when intense, it is the color of flames and studies show babies cry more in (bright) yellow rooms and tempers flare more around that color too. It has the power to speed up our metabolism and bring out some creative thoughts (legal tablets are yellow for good reason!). Yellow can be quickly overpowering if over-used, but used sparingly in the just the right place it can be an effective tool in marketing to greater sales. Some shades of yellow are associated with cowardice; but the more golden shades with the promise of better times.
Psychology of Color: Orange
The most flamboyant color on the planet! It's the color tied most this fun times, happy and energetic days, warmth and organic products. It is also associated with ambition. There is nothing even remotely calm associated with this color. Orange is associated with a new dawn in attitude.
Psychology of Color: Purple
What color were the robes of kings and queens? Yes, they were purple, our most royal color that is associated with wealth, prosperity, rich sophistication. This color stimulates the brain activity used in problem solving. However, when overused in a common setting it is associated with putting on airs and being artificial/ Use purple most carefully to lend an air of mystery, wisdom, and respect. Young adolescent girls are most likely to select nearly all shades of purple as their favorite color.
Psychology of Color: Brown
This color is most associated with reliability, stability, and friendship. More are more likely to select this as their favorite color. It's the color of the earth itself "terra firma" and what could represent stability better. It too is associated with things being natural or organic. Caution however, for in India it is the color of
