apprehensive and need advice
So I wrote last time about how I got a job at a my first strip club and my audition and first day went pretty well. Problem is, I haven't been back and it's been about two weeks. I'm worried they won't let me keep dancing there...
I'm kind of a slacker so I find reasons not to go. I'll be like "oh I'm tired, I'll just go tomorrow." Plus I had been pretty busy with the holidays.
But yeah I really think I will go tomorrow because it will be less crowded and I'll be less apprehensive. My question is, do you think they'll let me keep working there? I've not really familiar with this type of situation so I don't know what strip clubs generally do. I don't know if this is a big deal since I'm a contractor, not an employee.
Re: apprehensive and need advice
If you are in a large city club, you probably have nothing to worry about. If you live in a small city with only one or two strip clubs, getting back on the schedule may be more of a problem.
Re: apprehensive and need advice
As a contractor (I've been a contractor for the last few years), TECHNICALLY, the party you contract with cannot dictate or set your hours, although I guess some clubs have schedules.
If you are a self-admitted slacker, that's not so good...work ethic is work ethic, no matter what you are doing.
Re: apprehensive and need advice
Did they set a schedule with you? If not, it shouldn't be a problem. If they did though, you should call and talk to the manager.
