How Important is Initial Impression??
How important is the first impression that you get on a club or dancer?? (For dancers & staff, the customer, or club when checking out places to work ? ) Has a good 1st look turned into an experience from hell? Has a supposed bad apple turned into a good one?
For me, the first impression a club makes on my initial visit is a very important factor in determining whether or not I return. I realize that even the best of clubs can have an "off" night, but if my initial visit was a positive one, I'll stick out the subpar visits with them. The times that I've had negative first visits, I tend not to make repeat visits. I have returned to a few clubs that made a lukewarm 1st impression, but only after reading some reliable reviews on improved factors.
For dancers, I keep a more open mind. First impressions, especially stageside "vibes" are an important factor to me for choosing dances/VIP's. I like attractive dancers}:D as much as the next guy, but looks alone don't = good dance. An athletic, energetic stage show may very well translate into a rough, mechanical, and unenjoyable dance. Yet 1 particular dancer that I had initial misgivings on because of stage style- something about her cheerful approach/greeting prompted me to brush off initial misgivings, and give her a try. I was not disappointed, as she was very adaptive/talented in dancing style. I've occasionally had other end of spectrum whereby good stageside interactions turned into mediocre, or worse dances. Sometimes, rules are made to be broken. As a rule, I regard "things will get better in VIP", or "I give real good dances" in the same league as "Check is in the mail". Yet, 1 dancer that said later quote actually gave;D real good dances AND subsequent VIP's. In that case (it was a kinda slow night), I made an exception, but took precaution of trying the single basic tier dances first. Your experiences????
Re: How Important is Initial Impression??
a dancer can be the hottest girl in the state but if i dont get the fun vibe --- im out.
i bet i remember 95% of all the dancers that i have spent more than a couple of dances with.
i have had some fantastic times with 7's....i know (were not a piece of meat to be graded--but that is something that happens everyday in a club)
i see the initial beauty but never make a decision without some talk time---who wants a dancer with no communication skills. I do not care if it is a bullshit---i excpect it.
i look at it as a performance and if you got the skills to make me think i am something special then i am more than happy to pay you for the show.
hell if i was a casting agent looking for new talent i would hang out at these clubs with all the acting that goes on in it. some of you should get emmys---lol

You do know the pink side is for strippers and the blue side is for strip club junkies, ya?

well, it -is- customer conversation. i get what you're saying ,because this is where "customers" ask "dancers" questions...
but maybe he put it here because he thought we might be interested in the answers?
Re: How Important is Initial Impression??
I left it open because I thought maybe some of the dancers might want to respond but I agree the thread is on the bubble.
Minnow, in the future if you are looking for responses from the guys, post in Blue.

Sounds to me like he is asking dancers the question as well. Though I would have phrased it a bit more clearly...
Re: How Important is Initial Impression??
Yoda caught the gist of my intended audience , so I'll rephrase the question.
1) CUSTOMERS: How has your initial impression of club visit, or dancer interaction influenced subsequent visits, or asking dancer for a dance/VIP? How well did impression pan out? Did it change on subsequent contacts?
2) DANCERS/CLUB EMPLOYEES: Do you rely on initial impression of customer to decide how to prioritize asking for dances, or (bouncer, etc) pinpointing who to watch like a hawk or let slide? (Eg- potential troublemaker, or not). Did your initial gut judgements turn out to be on target. If scoping out a club to work, were your initial impressions of place a good indicator( eg, did initial good impression turn out bad, or you decided to work at place anyway because of $$ factors, but ended up enjoying the place anyway?)
Both provide actual experiences, please.
Re: How Important is Initial Impression??
It's been a while since I walked into a new club since I'm a semi regular at just about every place within an hour of my house. There are some nice places and some dives on the list. IN general, as long as I feel safe I will return provided the atmsphere and the dancer quality warrants it.
Initial impression of a dancer? I am always attracted more by a smile and a friendly attitude than by a a particular hair color or body type. I do of course have my preferences in physical attributes and even ethnic back ground. Still, I invite a lady to join me based on her smile and her approach.
If, after chatting, we end up in the dance booth I am rarely disappointed in the experience. I am not looking for a specific amount of contact or mileage, just some sensual dances with a lady that I have made a connection with. Will I be back? Maybe.
