How does PP dancing work?
I tried searching around the forum and it seems some people work through an agency while others don't and find friends or people to help them.
I live in Cali in the US and was wondering how this works. Do you need experience as a stripper before going into PP dancing? Where do you find legit agencies? and what do these agencies do for you? do they give you business and provide security and driver and take part of your profit?
If I don't want to go into an agency how do you guys find girls to work with and people to be security and drive? How do you built up your business? Can you ask a friend from sc if they want to do it with you?
How much do these pay usually? Range? Thanks!

No, But it helps. If you can work with an experienced PP dancer to get started, that is the best route.

Word of mouth is a good way to find legit agencies. I may be able to help you find a good agent in your area. The agencies take care of all the advertising and promoting of parties. They act as scheduler, and do checks on the customers. They handle credit card processing and make sure that the parties are qualified bookings, so that dancer doesn't have to worry that when she arrives at her booking that there is no party or even no answer at all. Some agencies provide drivers, others don't.
If an agent insists on you using their driver, don't do business with them. They are probably a shady operation and will likely take a huge percentage of your tips and leave you with a small "hourly" wage instead.
Half the battle is answering the phone. That is my job, I answer the phone, promote the dancers in the customer's region, take a down payment, confirm the booking, co-ordinate the dancer's schedule, and return any voice mail message that may have come in during off-hours. I also scout for parties on the web using tools like facebook, myspace, craigslist, networking with other agents, hotel conceirges, club managers and non-stripping club owners to promote our service and keep our girls working on a regular schedule.

Just network through your club to find other girls that like to do parties. Even just putting the idea out there to your co-workers that you are considering doing parties, someone will point you to the girls that also do parties in your club. A girl can never have too many back up partners to go and do parties with.
Most club bouncers also work as party bouncers. When I was dancing I'd pay my bouncers $50 per 1 hour-party plus 10% of the tips. I wanted them to be excited to be working for me, and I was very picky on whom I chose to work with. Many girls have their BF/ husband as their driver. This doesn't work for every relationship, so don't expect your bf to be excited about being your driver.
Building up your party business can be a little tricky. Putting ads in the escort sections of the alternative newspapers will get a lot of requests for FS one-on-one type shows (read, prostitution). Many clubs frown on their dancers promoting private party work while at the club, but this is going to be the quickest and easiest way to get jobs. You may be asked to perform at a party the same night, and some clubs are very touchy about their dancers leaving early after chatting with a customer that was asking around about party girls. Using craigslist or backpages might be a cheap way to go, but it can be really hit or miss. If you are going to go it alone, you just have to be patient and keep promoting yourself. Stay professional, and never leave a party customer hanging. If you can't make it to a booking do your best to find someone else to cover for you. Always call the customer as early as possible to let them know that you't be able to make it, so they at least the opportunity to make other arrangements. I get calls after midnight every weekend from desparate customers whose strippers stood them up.

Standard is about $200 an hour, or about $150 an hour if you go with an agent. This price will vary depending on how far away the party is from your home location.
*Hint: Parties in the boondocks pay extremely well, and the tipping is very generous. Sure you had to drive 45 minutes just to get there, but isn't the $1500.00 you left with worth that bit of extra driving?
Re: How does PP dancing work?
where is boondocks? and thanks that was very helpful! i appreciate it.

^^^^Boondocks...in the middle of nowhere.
Paris pretty much hit the nail on the head.
here are couple of national agencies that you can look at for information. http://www.centerfoldstrips.com
http://www.explicitstrippers.com/
I have not worked for these companies, but it may help to give an idea of whats out there. When searching for an agency, just ask as many questions as possible. A good agent wont mind answering them. Whenever I got a new girl, she worked a party with an experienced one until she was ready.

Agree 100%.
This is how I got started: First I worked for an agency. I use the term agency loosely because the guy was more or less a pimp (didn't know this at the time) who not only didn't pay me, I had to pay him. He took a percentage of my tips plus charged me "bouncer" services though he did nothing when the guys tried to attack me. These parties were awful. I did two parties and only made $80 bucks total. Never worked for this idiot again. I did interview at a few legit agencies but at that point decided against working for them.
A year later while working at a club, I was asked by a regular to do a bachelor party. So I did this, and word spread. I started getting many shows which allowed me to leave club dancing and work completely for myself. I loved it because I was in control. I then went into booking shows myself for me and other dancers (male and female). I advertised in various local papers (this was before the internet got as big as it is today). The only bad thing I dealt with in booking was the cheapos. Got a few of them. Had one bad experience with working for myself, but generally the guys were cool. Mostly college guys and professionals. A few retirement parties as well. I plan on going back into private parties this summer and will likely put up a website of me and advertise on Craigslist and other sites. I'll also hire a bouncer because I lost track of the bouncers I used before. I charged $200 for an hour show and gave the bouncer $50 and a percentage of the tips. I was creative and did more besides dancing. Usually after the show I offered private dances (or even during the show depending on the situation). I never allowed touching, nor did I allow photos either (except fully clothed ones).
Re: How does PP dancing work?
