Did I screw over this other dancer?
OK. I worked last night and was just chatting it up with these 2 custies with hundreds of ones in stacks but were spending kind of cheaply. I wanted to be friendly hoping to get a shower on stage.
They told me they played for this certain NBA team and they were in town to play our NBA team (I dont want to name drop)
I knew it was a crock of shit, they wernt dressed well and one of them said 5g for implants was a lot of $ to spend. I assumed they were locals, just trying to get ass.
When the club closes my girl and I walk out to our cars, say goodnight to the bouncer. We stop at my car to see our other coworker in her car with the 2 custys. WTF the bouncer allowed this? So obv they were just her friends not NBA players or they were custys she was taking home?
... anyways I went back to the bouncer and was like "I thought they were in the NBA? and why is my uptight security club allowing this girl to do this?"
The bouncer went over and stopped her from leaving with them. I'm worried she saw and I'll look like a snitch BUT I really like this bouncer and did not want to see him get in trouble. Also she girl was incredibly drunk, she missed stage because she couldnt stand up. Why did my managers let her drive home? and THEN NBA or not she was drunk, thats just asking to be robbed, raped or murdered. I could care less what she does but I rather be a snitch then say nothing and have something happen.
Was this wrong? Should I have minded my own business?
Also. I got home, went on the NBA website and infact they both played for the team they said and were telling the truth about the things they told me (they make little profiles with pics for each team member)
...Could she have just been going to do a private party? But why were they in her car? She was shithoused. I feel like she was in no way able to make any decition and it was definetly not safe for her to drive.
Sorry about my rambles, it was bothering me.
Re: Did I screw over this other dancer?
i think you did the right thing. both so the club and bouncer doesnt get in trouble if anything went wrong and also for her safety. if youre too drunk to stand up, youre to drunk to be making ratonal decisions in my opinion.

Re: Did I screw over this other dancer?
If she was that drunk, she likely wont remember anyhow.
I think you did the right thing.

Re: Did I screw over this other dancer?
I think you did the right thing. I've had to make a choice before between messing with a girls money and getting her out of a potentially dangerous situation. I chose to speak up. I can live with her being pissed at me about losing money. I cant deal with reading about her in the paper and knowing I could have stopped something from happening to her
Re: Did I screw over this other dancer?
Dancers are not supposed to leave the club with customers. Especially if she just met them that night at the club- it would be different if they were friends and just giving her a ride or something. If that's not against the rules at your club it should be. Definitely not in the club's best interest to let her go with them either. You did the right thing.
Re: Did I screw over this other dancer?
You absolutely did the right thing. Just because a person is a celebrity doesn't mean that he is above criminal activity. You didn't screw her over, you likely saved her butt!
Re: Did I screw over this other dancer?
^^ Paris nailed it. You did the right thing. We've all seen the court cases where some celebrity raped someone. Being famous doesn't mean you are any more moral than the rest of society. Personally, I think the club should reprimand her for getting so wasted that these guys probably could have taken advantage of her.
Re: Did I screw over this other dancer?
You definately did the right thing. If the dancer says anything to you, just explain to her that you were concerned about her safety.
Re: Did I screw over this other dancer?
Not only did you do the right thing, you did what had to be done. It was a must. Good for you.
Re: Did I screw over this other dancer?
In most cases I'd say it's nunya bidness but this is not one of those times. :)
You probably saved drunk girl a lot of trouble in more ways than one. It's possible she was doing a private but more than likely they were just using their status to get free ass. Why girls, strippers especially, leave with guys like this is beyond me.
Why girls leave with any guy from the clubs is just ridiculous.
Re: Did I screw over this other dancer?
I think you did the right thing and have a lot of balls for doing it. Don't worry, you probably saved that girl from a lot of trouble.
Re: Did I screw over this other dancer?
You did the right thing, definitely. Who knows what could have happened? And if she wasn't even in the right mind to think about being a little more sneaky about leaving with customers, then god knows she wasn't in her right mind to make good judgement calls about her safety.
Re: Did I screw over this other dancer?
Are you close friends with this girl? Can you safely say you knew what her intentions were?
I would simply assume that she was tricking outside of work, in which case it's really the club's call as to whether they wish to interfere. If the bouncer didn't stop her from leaving with strange customers then obviously girls have done it before and it's tacitly condoned. Talk to the manager about why girls are being allowed to drive home drunk in the first place if you're honestly concerned for her safety or the safety of others, don't wait untill you see her in a car with a customer before you bring it to someone's attention!
If she is tricking outside of work and you just broke up her date, i'd expect her to be seriously pissed. Not only did you mess up her night but you made a stink at work, meaning that she may be reprimanded in order for the club to save face, not to mention now everyone at work is gossipping about it (they would be at my club!) I'm not a fan of solicitation within the club but it's a part of the business that will never disappear. Fortunatly my club will dismiss any girl too drunk or too dumb to avoid getting caught- but if it's not your club's policy to police this matter than it's none of your business either. Find a new club that takes a harder line on prostitution if it bothers you.
IF she's a close friend and you can safely assume that you know what sort of decision she'd be making if she weren't so drunk than by all means step in. If you don't know this girl outside of work, don't know what life she lives, then don't assume you know what's best for her. Maybe she's just a freak and wants to bang these guys, maybe she's a ho and needs to get trashed in order to party.
probably an unpopular opinion, but my 2 cents. Let us know what happens when you see her!
Re: Did I screw over this other dancer?
You definitely did the right thing... I would have done the same... Don't care about what the girl will think of me.
So were they on the Raptors or the Nets? I'm an NBA addict.

Oh and the girl got fired and I might have saved the bouncers job.
