i made up another line tonight
at my club they do 2 for 1 lapdances every 45 minutes to an hour (less frequently if the club is empty), and that's when the big pressure to sell is because the guys that come in are for the most part CHEAP. basically, that's the cue for every girl working to go into a mad frenzy and ask every single person in the club "wanna dance".
sometimes, customers come right before they do them, and are immediately bombarded a sip into their first beer, if they've even made it that far. we usually get "i just got here" or "maybe later" from these guys.
so instead of attacking everyone with OMG WANNA DANCE BUY A FUCKING DANCE C'MON LETS DO A DANCE I WANNA DANCE FOR YOU OMG LOL tonight, i approached a group of new arrivals and said:
"i know you all just got here, but who's ready to start their night off the best way possible?"
-it assumes a sale
-allows for friendly competition between the guys
-radiates confidence
-and subtly indicates by saying "the best way possible" that i am the best dancer/most valuable/whatever, without sounding braggy.
it didn't work tonight, but i only tried it once and on a group of young guys (young guys don't usually go for me) but when i thought of it, i knew it was genius. so i'm going to keep using it and see if it works as well as i think it will.
try it out and let me know what you think!

made me snort juice out of my nose, narrowly missing my keyboard. You rule.

Re: i made up another line tonight
i like it. hopefully i'll remember it if i ever work at a club with 2-for-1s again. my club has a deal that is, unfortunately, always available.

Re: i made up another line tonight
Here are some lines I used to do. The corny ones would at least get me a tip even if they said no :)
"Would you like to buy me when I'm on sale?"
"I'm like Walmart, I'm rolling back my prices, would you like to take advantage of this one time an hour offer"
"I'm like Kmart and I'm having a blue light special, would you like to play with me the way Martha Stewert plays with her stocks"
"Would you like to buy me while I'm 50% off"

Re: i made up another line tonight
One slight change:
Instead of: "i know you all just got here, but who's ready to start their night off the best way possible?"
I would say:
"I know you all just got here, but which one of you is ready to show his friends how a man REALLY starts the night off with a BANG!!??!!
Essentially, it's the same question, but in the latter, there's a bigger sense of "who's the BIGGEST ALPHA man??"
Good line though :-)

Re: i made up another line tonight
^^^^ oooh love it... that's completely my personality too!

Re: i made up another line tonight
This could also work as an answer to "No thanks, I just got here" I find that if you just leave them be for a few minutes, let them get one drink down, and come back they will always bite.
"Well when your ready, you wanna start your night off the best way possible?"
(wait a few minutes, come back)
"I know you've gotta be ready for me now" (wink, flirty smile, etc)

Re: i made up another line tonight
Last week I got a lot of "I just got here" let me have my drink" lines it was like everybody told me that, one said yes I made 100 on a thurs... AWFUL! the waitresses were complaining about it being slow though, so I don't know if they were just cheap trying too see free boobs, but act like they were at a regular bar... GRRR!

Re: i made up another line tonight
Whenever I get the "Maybe later." I say, "Okay", then come back in a little bit and go, "So..... it's later..." *wiggle eyebrows* Usually works, surprisingly...

Re: i made up another line tonight
A lot of guys in groups will actually point to the closest friend and say "oh he is ready for a dance for sure, ask him" and TO MY SURPRISE the other guy points to the original with the same line. I don't like groups for that reason.

I HATE when they do that. I usually say something along the lines of "wow, don't fight over me guys!" with a wink and come back later.

Re: i made up another line tonight
^^ Heh, I say something like that too... not all at once now!!

It's nice how you can read their reaction to that line. If they look confused or offended, you know they're not going to spend much money (if any) that night. If they laugh, they'll probably spend money later (if not immediately after your remark).

Re: i made up another line tonight
I've been using a variation on that line too. If I get the "I just got here" I say something like "all the more reason for me to give you a dance... what better way to start off your night and get you in the right mood?" but I'm going to try beginning with something like that immedietly and see if I get better results. Good line!
We had a performer at my club this weekend and so guys kept telling me "I'm just here to see her." I made up: "how about I warm you up... I can be your appetizer and she can be your main course!" I got some laughs but it worked well.
My two for one lines are-
"so, there's a sale on me, 50% off, and I think you should take advantage"
"there's this crazy thing going on right now where if you get me naked dancing all over you for FREE... wanna take advantage of that?"
"how about a free dance?" (just make sure you mention they have to buy one as you're walking over!)
"so, I think they knew you were coming because they just called a two for one and I'm dying to dance with you"

I actually find that the opposite happens to me, if I ask one guy in a group and he isn't interested he will say "that guy is the one you wanna talk to, he has all the money" or "you're not my type but you should talk to my buddy over there, he'll love you" and it usually works. We get a lot of bachelor parties at my club too, so a lot of the time even if the guy isn't buying you can talk him into buying a couple dances for the bachelor.

Re: i made up another line tonight
I hate when customers just tell me that they want some time to take a drink--you can bring your drink in the back silly!
