Questions from Sacramento!
Hey girls-- I'm SO happy to have found this website, as you're all so intelligent, insightful, and helpful. You're all the reason why I've decided to try dancing!
Anyway, I have some questions that may or may not be hiding somewhere in the boards already, so I'm sorry if they were already answered and I didn't find them.
On Monday I plan on auditioning at Gold Club Centerfolds in Sacramento, CA, and of course in my anxiety of my possible impending doom I'm asking myself every 'what-if' possible. I visited the club (my first time at a SC as I just turned 18) and it reassured me a bit to find that not all of the girls did crazy tricks on the pole and that they had all different types of bodies, but I'm still a bit apprehensive.
1. I have absolutely no experience or training in any type of dance, and though I've been praciticing a TON in my new 6-inch heels, I don't feel like I can come up with enough moves for two songs straight. Is it really noticable when a girl repeats herself a few times?
2. Is there anything that you've seen newbies do on stage that you thought was relatively embarassing?
3. Knowing no pole tricks or any other fancy moves to try on stage for that matter, what should I focus on doing while up there for two songs? I'm really freaked that I'll accidently just keep, like, swaying back and forth.
4. Is it okay if I just wear some lacy bra and matching panties? It didn't seem like any of the girls were really just wearing normal lingerie.
5. It *is* an amateur night/competition which is apparently where professional girls will come from other SCs to compete for the money. Will people just think I'm horrible in comparison to the other girls? Can I still get hired if I don't win?
6. Did you know any tricks your first time? Could you do anything special, or did you just stick to basic, simple things?
Thanks guys! I'm sure I'll have more questions soon!
