Body Paint Work
Hi
I have been asked to do a promotion job at a trade shows. It requires being body painted and fully nude, even down to barefeet !. I would be expected to walk arround the show getting people to enter a competition etc.
Just asking if anybody has any experience of being body painted particually for long periods of time, 8 hrs a day for 4 days.
Plus any other advice
Cheers

Re: Body Paint Work
I used to bodypaint quite a bit (never full nude, however, we wore thongs). My best advice for you is to make sure that they are giving you enough breaks. Also, you should feel safe and be able to have someone available to you close by in case somebody is inapropriate. Because you are nude, and not doing just regular promotional work, I would expect to be paid well, anywhere from $50-$100 and hour. My regular promotional rate was usually around $25/hour but you are nude so they should be paying you a lot more. For me personally, I never really liked to have too many tasks to do, because just dealing with people was time consuming enough. And finally, you run the show. If they ask you to do anything you're not comfortable with (like any kind of contact, etc) explain to them that this is not going to happen and be firm. Sometimes promoters will try to convince you to do things if you aren't firm about your expectations. Good luck!

Re: Body Paint Work
I know of at least 1 body painter who isn't on the up & up. Be sure to check references on these people, at random, before you work with them and google their names too.

Re: Body Paint Work
Thanks for all the advice, reaaly helpful. I am desperate to be allowed to wear a thong but not going to happen as they have made it very clear its full nude.
Money side it actually very good, guess that’s why they can dictate the rules.
I do have one question - as you said you have done body paint before. They have said once I am painted I have to remain in just paint all day. So I going to remain nude even during breaks and lunch otherwise the paint can come off.
Is this right, its just I am sure after walking arround naked for a few hours I am going to be desperate to cover up !!

Re: Body Paint Work
I'm not sure what kind of paint the artist will be using on you so I'm not sure. Some is wet all the time and some will completely dry (although if you rub enough, it will come off). Bring a light robe with you and that shouldn't rub off the paint too much. They have to realize that even the most carefull model will rub quite a bit of the paint off in the course of eight hours so I'm not sure if the artist is sticking around for touch ups or not. Something you gotta watch out for is if the paint your butt, you have to explain to them that there is no way in hell that you are going to be standing for eight hours (if you can't sit on the paint). Made that mistake before and ended up only being able to rest on all fours!
