Waitress/dancer
So, this is just something I've noticed, and it might piss off some girls or maybe not be applicable in all circumstances, but I thought I'd put it out there anyway.
I just started waitressing at a club that I used to dance at. This particular club is pretty safe and not too sleazy, but it also has pretty loose rules. So, anyway, they let their waitresses do lap dances if they want, without question. They also don't have very strict policies on when their waitresses have to work - you can pretty much show up whenever. They only make the waitresses pay 20% of their tips to the bartender and they pay an hourly wage (a low one, but still).
Anyway, what I'm getting at, is that as a waitress, I'm not required to do stage dances, I don't have house fees, my tipout is low comparitively, and I get paid a normal wage, but I can make money giving dances, which don't get counted, and I don't have to pay for (and, as has been noted before, men seem to have a strong desire to get dances from waitresses who "don't normally give dances"). All I'm saying is that I'm getting better money than when I was dancing, and I don't have to pay out as much, nor do I have to worry about selling dances as much. I could see this being a problem in the case of top earners or really great hustlers who spend entire shifts in the champagne room with one guy, but for average earners like myself, who only sell one or two dances per customer, this is not a bad idea if you can find a club with these types of policies.
Any thoughts/opinions? I would love to know if anyone can find anything wrong with this idea, as it could directly affect me if I'm being naive in this situation.

Re: Waitress/dancer
Some girls will get really pissed off about waitresses doing dances. They feel like you're stealing their money. I've done the waitress/stripper thing before and had girls get right up in my face about it.
The bottom line is who gives a crap what the other girls think. I'd never give up a sweet deal like that just because some stranger has a problem with it. You very lucky to have found this gig. They are few and far between. My advice is, be as nice as you can to the dancers. Send dances their way every now and then, and if anybody gives you any crap, do not get into it with them. Just be so nice to everyone that nobody could ever blame you if a girl starts shit with you.

that sounds incredibly awesome, and congratulations for finding such an awesome deal.

Re: Waitress/dancer
If I were a dancer at your club, I'd be pissed. That being said if I were a waitress and the rules were that relaxed, I'd do the same thing. The other girls can't get mad with you, if anything they should be mad those in charge. Don't think of giving up that position to appease someone else.

Re: Waitress/dancer
I'd very upset if a club did that. I worked at a club that had a dancer who became a waitress. Because she became a waitress she was allowed to dance on her off days and not pay house. The difference is she wasn't waitressing on days she was dancing.
If it's making you money, that's all that matterd.

Re: Waitress/dancer
Its great for you,but extremely unfair to the dancers. Why should they have to pay more, go on stage, wear the heels, etc etc...when waitresses can do their job and not have to? REALLY uncool.
IMO..be a waitress OR a dancer. Not both.
