Re: c-section mommies....
VKMS - I noticed your thread has had quite a few views but no posts yet. Since I am no expert, hopefully you'll get some useful feedback soon.
I was just wondering if you had a chance to do a search? If not, click on this link and you'll find past threads that mention "c-section".

Hopefully it will be of some help to you.
From what I read, the most common feedback was to wait as long as 3 months after a natural child birth and as long as 6+ months after a c-section. The ladies mentioned how the surgery was significant and the abdominal muscles needed to have enough time to properly heal.
Take care and best of luck!
Re: c-section mommies....
I didn't start dancing again after my c-section. But it took at least 2 months for normal activities, like walking up and down stairs not to hurt. I had an extended stay in the hospital after deliver for other reasons. And the nurses encouraged me to keep active saying I would recover faster the more I pushed myself (but I think that would exclude dancing).
Anyway I bought some silicone sheets for scars which I started using right after I got my staples out. I only wore them while sleeping and every morning I would see noticeable results. My scar healed flat, is much shorter and is just a faint thin line that's barely noticeable.

I did do a search, but I didn't have time to read through a lot of pages. Thank you though. I have a little more time today, so I'm gonna do another search.

Silicone sheets? Where do I get those at? I've never heard of using those to help the scar heal.
I'm actually feeling pretty good considering I'm only 3 weeks out. But I know that I can't go back to work too soon because I don't wanna do anything to risk hurting myself. I'm also a volunteer firefighter, so I'm sure it'll be a little longer for me to go back to that as well, lol. I'm starting to go crazy because I haven't worked since June, lol. :O

The brand I used isn't made anymore, but here you go!
Re: c-section mommies....
I started a month and a half after I had my baby, and would have done it sooner if I got the chance. I healed quickly, I was 19, and maybe that had something to do with it, but it really just depends on you.
