Upping my game, from stripper to entertainer...
Alright. So, for new years, I went to a very expensive, very high class club. This club didn't even have a pole. It served things like duck. It had women that you see in magazines. They didn't even dance, per say, they just walked around and got money. Management approached me and offered a job. I made an excuse (easy, since I was out of state), and enjoyed the rest of my night.
Exiting the club, my mind was racing with determination. I immediately went home to a local club and sold all my spandex and cheap lace, babydolls, and tacky shoes. Cheap. I spent hundreds on just a couple outfits and replacement shoes.
I haven't danced in months. I'm feeling subpar since that visit. I need to know, ladies... how do I make this transition into the "supernatural stripper" from a plain stripper? I can do the hair/tan/sculpted part myself... but what about the outfits? The dancing? My attitude? What should change?
I think I need to change my body and look first, to increase my confidence, and then my attitude will follow. Does anyone have any advice on going from decent to extraordinary?

It's not about being a supernatural stripper, it's about appearing like an elegant lady. Take some etiquette classes that will help teach you about speaking, body language etc to survive in these types of clubs. As for the dancing, if they are having you go on stage stay off the floor... no floorwork! Practice moving from one position to another very slowly and posing like what you see in the glamour magazines. Find a great hair stylist and stick with them... don't let someone you don't know screw with your hair. Check with the club to see if they have a house mom that can show you how to do your hair/makeup the way the club prefers. Skip the platforms and go for a classy high heel, wear outfits that don't look cheap and keep your bottom covered.
That's all I can think of for now... not too hard.

Nice jewelry; not too much, but where it counts..Necklace, one bracelet, earrings, and I wear a rhinestone anklet. However, I do this because I wear platforms that accentuate the curve of my foot and my calf. I'm sure this is obvious, but don't go for cute, go for simple elegance. Less is more when it comes to colors on dresses, and even on makeup..find some simple way of doing your makeup that emphasizes your best features but does not look like you are a painted doll. Simple cuts on the dresses; ones that look like something you'd wear to a nice dinner, but a bit too far high cut or so. You don't want to look trendy, but you want to look in style.

You can master the looks part of it as mentioned above. But read widely - the economist, NY times, etc, and be prepared to talk to anybody!

Thanks, girls. The reading thing is a great idea. I don't know why I never thought about that.

I worked at one of those clubs way back, like ten years ago. If my experience is still relevant, it seemed that there were 2 types there. Some girls were physically perfect and some were "just" pretty, but were smart and interesting. I'm sure a few combined both traits but I was never fortunate enough to meet them. The customers were interesting, but also tended to be assholes.

Keep up to date on current events. This will help you have things to talk about besides the usual - "where are you from" issues. Married men love to talk about their children and their hobbies.
Customer service.. lighting cigars and cigarettes. Removing a mans suit jacket or sport coat, taking items out of his pocket - loosening ties. Keeping his glass full. Please, thank you and the other niceties of manners will get you remembered.
And the major do NOTS!
NO glitter
Heavy perfume. Large nono
Make up or lipstick/gloss that rubs off.
Elegant simple clothes. Little black dresses, velvet gowns. I usually don't like the glittery or foil fabrics because for one it rubs off and ( to me ) the liquid metal type fabric looks cheap.
And lastly - keep your hands and your feet nice. Your face and your hands are one of the very first things people see and who knows - you might have some nice man that wants to rub your feet. Yeah I know, icky but it makes a guy feel like he's contributing. And lets face it, men like to please - at least the decent ones do. :)
