Pleas Help! Selling Repeat Dances!
Ok so my club currently has a rule where you have to pay up fron out of every dance. No exceptions. My question is how to do you sell repeat dances when you have to ask for money before every dance? I hate this rule it makes it hard to sell mutiples. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Re: Pleas Help! Selling Repeat Dances!
ouch thats annoying. i worked at one like that and selling repeats was harder but the night i worked it was so busy that it didnt matter. im guessing these dances are in a separate area so you must give the house money before each dance? If that is the case that definitely hurts the flow of it.
I would say sell one super awesome dance. Then say something along the lines of wow that was fun. We should go again. When it comes time to pay, pout a bit and say "last time was too short, i barely had time to get started. This time we should make sure that there is enough songs so i dont have to stop when im getting into it.." or something to that effect.
If dances are not in a private area...does your club really have a way of keeping tabs? If they dont then i would just ignore the rule but dont expect backup if you have some jerk who wont pay.
Do you have a VIP/champagne room type thing? If so, then after the first dance when sayin you want more time then suggest the VIP or CR so you dont have to be interrupted by those pesky bouncers and its a better setting for you to get into it etc.
Re: Pleas Help! Selling Repeat Dances!
My club has that rule. If they want to buy a dance, we have to buy a token from the bar and then give it to the DJ before we go into the private rooms. But it's definitely manageable. Right before the dance is over, make it really, really good--like your best moves or whatever--and then ask if he'd like to do another one. If he says yes, tell him it'll be another $X, and then go get the token. At my club, since I've been there long enough, people trust me, and if the night is slow they'll let me do another dance without having to come out and get the token. Then, when I'm done, I'll give them however much I owe them. But even if it's too busy for that, I'll just run to the bar and get the token, then give it to the DJ, then back in the room. It can also give the guy a chance to cool off for a minute, and then you can do virtually the same dance over again, and he'll get worked up just as much. This kind of teasing can go on forever. To be honest, I prefer the whole pay-ahead thing, because in upstate NY, I have a feeling that if they got to work on credit, they would screw us over half the time.
Re: Pleas Help! Selling Repeat Dances!
I always say, "Should I twist your arm for one more to make it even?"
Then, "Round three?"
Then, "Gosh, we have to make it even again now, huh?"
(all while nodding head, making eye contact, and keeping boobs in close proximity to face)
Re: Pleas Help! Selling Repeat Dances!
You are succhh the woman I love being on my brave nights at work! ^^
Re: Pleas Help! Selling Repeat Dances!
I get a little closer to the custy towards the end of the song and while still dancing I would say something like "you're getting me all hot, you don't want me to stop now , do you? " try to sound sexy, it helps lol. I like the pay up front idea, wished we had that here.
Re: Pleas Help! Selling Repeat Dances!
After song two also remember to upsell..."Gosh that was fun, do you want the next one here or over there (point to VIP) where it's more comfy?"
Re: Pleas Help! Selling Repeat Dances!
Good thinking britney. That's the way you are supposed to upsell. I am going to use this tonight.
Re: Pleas Help! Selling Repeat Dances!
My club is supposed to be a pay up front club too - really to save the clubs ass if someone doesn't pay. KWIM? I don't make them pay up front... I've never had a problem getting my money - once but I about attacked him and got my cash.
Re: Pleas Help! Selling Repeat Dances!
Personally I never understood anyone NOT taking payment up front. Customers are dumbfucks. The club I used to work at, we had to actually go pay the dj before every one, so I made it a bit of a waiting game for the customer. Now, I'm at a club where we're responsible for keeping tabs, so I just keep dancing, look all sexy and into it while nonchalantly holding out my other hand. As I put it away I turn around and give a good ass view.
Re: Pleas Help! Selling Repeat Dances!
Well I read the book superflirt by Tracy Cox and learned some different techniques of flirting and seducing, and this weekend it made a huge impact. I went from selling maybe two dances to a customers to one customer buyin 14 dances!! It was great thanks for all the help!
Re: Pleas Help! Selling Repeat Dances!
congrats! I wanted to buy that book but Borders didnt have it. I should order it online, but i have this strange vendetta against ordering things off the internet (i dont trust the mail). This motivated me to attempt round 2 to borders or maybe barnes n nobles to get it!
Re: Pleas Help! Selling Repeat Dances!
maybe you could give them a bank, we pay 2 dollars for every dance so maybe give them 10 bucks and explain it to them.. so the other girls couldnt say you havent paid for them..
Re: Pleas Help! Selling Repeat Dances!
^^^ I like that.
Can you give teaser dances on the floor? You could use that as leverage while letting him know that he's going to want more than one and the club makes you pay them their portion up front. After explaining that just say to him (while teasing with body language & chest at eye level)
"I would hate to interrupt our fun between dances!" (nodding yes) "How many would you like?"
Stress the word *many*... more than likely he will feel obligated to commit to at least two up front.
Re: Pleas Help! Selling Repeat Dances!
Try and sell more than one dance right off by making it sound like a "package."
Guys are honestly stupid and just like idea of a "deal." Dances are $40 at my club and so five dances are $200, but it takes guys a while to realize this. If they ask prices and I say "$40 a song, or you can do 5 for $200" their eyes light up like "oh it's a deal! saving $" (even though they're not). If you can sell him a "package" ask for the $ upfront. If he's hesitant to give it to you, try and get it by making it sound like you're really excited to dance and you're going to get super worked up and into it and you don't want your arrousal (haha! as if) to be interrupted.
