Re: Land of Thousand Dollar Nights
It's part of a chain of clubs. If you come in on a non-scheduled night your stage fees are only $100. Most of the other clubs in the area are between $120 and $150 a night. There are ways to reduce this by getting drinks (non-alcoholic so the incentive to buy them is less) and coming in hours before your shift.
Edit: I was giving a hypothetical response as to what I'd say if the conversation arrived. I find it rather awkward that you look into my post history.

Re: Land of Thousand Dollar Nights
The appeal of sharing the room is that you are not on your own making conversation and keeping a guy entertained. Just think, a group of guys sit down, you bring in four or five of your dancer friends and you guys all go upstairs, or to VIP, for a "party". Guys are sometimes more likely to all go upstairs if the rapport is good amongst the dancers and the customers. I like it more like that, that way I can talk and hang out with other girls instead of being trapped in a room alone with a guy. But that's just my personal preference, I know many girls that like it the other way around.
Anyways, NREXM, I didn't know one could earn that much in this economic climate. Good for you!

I know right? Sounds like what I was making about a year and a half ago.

Re: Land of Thousand Dollar Nights
Sooo does every one think you have more oppertunity for more money in VIP rooms and a bigger club??
my club, the only one I have danced at doesnt hav a VIP, and it only holds about 80-100 MAX!!! that is with a packed house
-
Re: Land of Thousand Dollar Nights
I think one of the factors contributing to the good nights at my club is that we have higher-ended clientele. Seattle is not a party spot so most of our customers are business men and guys in for conventions (the convention center is so close to the club) so we get a lot of customers spending a few hundred on each girl.
It really depends on where you live. Washington isn't hit the hardest by the recession, plus we have a lot of wealthy people in the area. The winter was still horrible, it just started to pick up a few months ago.

I think you have the best shot at making the most money through the VIP sales but it doesn't have to be a large club. It can be a small club too so long as there are guys who are willing to drop the cash on you. It can be just as good to be a big fish in a small pond. Also it's waaaay better if the cut the club takes is as small as possible.

Re: Land of Thousand Dollar Nights
I think my club is pretty good.. the managment is really nice, a little preverted.. but in a nice way lol. If you have a rough night they help you out.. I dont drink but the regulars say that the owner must get half his sales from the dancers so they cut us a break lol.
Once when I was waitressing.. there was this verryy drunk guy.. and he wanted to talk about his divorce(whatever) so I told him I could sit with him fro 30 mins for 400$ .. and he was so drunk he did it.. he did not talk about his divorce.. it was the worst 30 miins of my life, but also the best.. I guess I could try doing that again.. and I didnt have to tip out any of my 400$ it was awesome!! =)

I guess it depends on the set up of the club? It's rare that a group rents out the Glass Booth (which is where that would be able to happen).... but I did have that happen when I worked at Broadway Showgirls in SF - a group rented a few dancers and we made $1,000 an hour (we only got $600 since this is a DejaVu club) but yea - Id prefer that - it's just not something that happens here.

I looked because most of the stuff you write I call bs on. Few posts - making a minimum of $1,000 a night, having a $150 stage fee in Seattle (it's cheaper in Vegas/NY) It sounds like a guy is writing your posts.
That's all. Don't take it personally. ;)
This doesn't sound very hypothetical to me:
Quote:
When someone tells me that they are just stopping in for the beer I tell them that the bar down the street is cheaper and that they are obviously looking for something extra.
-
Re: Land of Thousand Dollar Nights
How can you deduce that they must be looking for something extra just because they are just stopping in for a beer? For the record, I don't even know how many guys said to me, "I'm just stopping in for a beer" and an hour later ended up spending hundreds of dollars on me. Not many guys plan on spending tons of money, it just happens that way.

Re: Land of Thousand Dollar Nights
When did I say that I make a minimum of $1,000 a night? My minimum is usually between $500-$700, which is my average. The only nights that I make over a thousand are weekends, and that's maybe five weekend nights a month or unless I'm working over eight hours on weeknights.
I have few posts because I just joined a few days ago. Go ahead and call my posts bs, there is no way to prove or disprove my statements. I only know what is true and I'm satisfied. If you choose not to believe it, that's fine. It doesn't deter me from posting my opinions.
A guy is writing my posts? Never heard that one, haha :)

Re: Land of Thousand Dollar Nights
Now its 5 weekend nights a month when before it was
Quote:
$1,000-$1,400 every weekend night and about $600+ on the weeknights
keep back peddling... this quote was only a few posts ago. lol... I still call bs. I dont have to prove anything. Ive been on this site 5 years. I can tell someones full of it when I see it... Ive seen it plenty and the exaggerators/liars/whatever always get called out eventually - and its always compare and contrast.

I felt the same way the first few post I read.. If I could make 1000 fri, and sat.. then I would only work 2 or 3 days a week..
And when a guy says he is just here for a beer.. I still try to hustle them a little.. I havent had a lot of guys say that.. but I have got a dance from a few that said that before..
I would tell them where another bar was.. even if they ask.. I pretend that my club is the only one I know in the area..
If they wanted "extras" they would def. be getting dances.. thats what has happen for me in the past..

Perhaps some people don't always have an articulate moment of expressing themselves when they post. It doesn't necessarily mean they are back-pedaling or making things up. Just a thought.

Why is the club killing our negotiating power? We're not waitresses, we're frickin dancers. I think the only exceptions to the crappy VIP could be Asheville and Jacksonville.
heh, I dance at the Foxy Lady in raleigh- we do air-dances on the floor for $10 per song and VIP dances (1-way contact) for $25 per song in the VIP room...which isn't very private as there are a few couches and chairs and there's always a bouncer standing at the entrance (there's no door). There's no sort of "champagne" or "private" room set up so selling VIP dances by the song is the best way to go.

Re: Land of Thousand Dollar Nights
I think my club's VIP is extortionate, compared to what everyone else seems to charge. At mine, the customer *has* to buy a bottle of champagne that also gets him the room (aka, booth) for an hour. The girl charges her fee per hour separately and keeps all of it. The lowest most dancers will go per hour is $300 and then the cheapest bottle is $285, but the Champagne Hostess will always push the $350-ish ones. On top of that there's tipping the hostess and maybe the dancer.
So basically at a bare minimum it's $600 an hour to take a dancer to the champagne room. I feel like selling these is like getting blood out a stone but I dunno, some girls manage it because all six booths are full all of Friday and Saturday night. It's rumored that a some girls will sell it for $600 but included in the price is a whole lot of serious extra's but I mean, they can't ALL be doing that :-\

Re: Land of Thousand Dollar Nights
it's seattle. i live in seattle, and the girls working here never claim 4 figure nights. but hey! maybe this girl is special and unique.
i'll be honest. bridgette worked in this town and couldn't rock 4 figure shifts as a routine thing, and i trust her ability to make money enough that i question 'i only make 1k a shift 5 times a month!' from nrexm.

See - I guess it depends where you are because an hour here is $670+ tip and there are always girls back there. They just recently started throwing in a bottle of cheap (I mean CHEAP) champagne in when you buy an hour. Doesn't mean extras are going on - just means the girls know how to sell. Im always selling VIPs and Im not doing extras.... I mean some girls are but majority are not.

Re: Land of Thousand Dollar Nights
Just got an update on Raleigh vs Fayatteville. They both charge about $250 for half hour in VIP but Raleigh has a more upscale group of clubs than Fayetteville.
-
Re: Land of Thousand Dollar Nights
the only upscale club i know of in Raleigh city limits is the Mens Club, and they dont allow girls with tattoos :(

It's ALL about MINDSET.
If YOU honestly believe it's a rip off, you are going to project that sentiment towards the customers.
The girls who are selling it BELIEVE that it's well worth it, and that is why they are able to sell it.
Sounds hokey, but until you overcome this psychological wall that you established, you won't be able to close many sales.

From firsthand success with the above, I whole-heartedly agree as well!
