Finally saying hi
Hi,
I've been lurking around here for a while. lilfairyqueen asked me why I hadn't posted yet and I didn't really have a good answer other than I'm still just looking into dancing.
I watched youtube videos of pole dancing when I was 17. I thought it looked like a lot of fun and a great workout. I looked into buying a pole and quickly found out that the ones at Spencers are no good. I knew a friend of a friend had been a stripper, so I asked her for information. She lead me to here. I registered, then forgot my name after being able to read the threads pertaining to it. Something reminded me and sparked my interest and I made a new name.
Over my winter break while I was home, I took a one on one pole dancing class, and while it was really hard, it was also really fun. My parents have always been pretty liberal about sex, but I don't want them to feel like they did something wrong if I decided to become a stripper. I had a great childhood and there is that stereotype that people go into any sort of sex work because they had a messed up childhood.
I was curious about sex starting at around 12, so I checked out books from the library on it. I also now have a very large book on sex and my mom tells me that I probably know more about the topic than she does.
Right now I am still supported by my parents who give me $700/mo and pay for my car insurance and my phone. I am also going to college and have a scholarship, and I work retail, but that is just to keep a good job reference. My parents also currently do my taxes since they claim me as a dependent. I'll graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Design a month before I turn 21. I've never even been to a club since 1. I don't have money to be a good tipper, and 2. I hear you have to be 21 to get in to "good" places.
I have been considering dancing after I graduate. I was worried my boobs were too small (only 32A, but they fit my frame), but I found out dancers come in all sizes. I even told someone I was thinking of stripping and he said "when are you going to get your boob job?". I have my nipples pierced and I have gorgeous little cz's on the end of my barbells. I have thought about moving to another state so that I don't run into anyone I know, but I'm not sure where a good place to go would be.
I would want to save and invest the money I earn so that eventually I might be able to own my own business instead of having to take out business loans. The dollar den and reading Melonie's posts have been very helpful. I definitely want to pay taxes and do everything right so I can actually use the money I make.
So, life story lol. Sorry it is so long winded, I have a habit of doing that.

Re: Finally saying hi
Welcome to SW!
Talk to your parents before you start dancing. It will show them that you respect their opinion. It sounds like they are pretty liberal so they may be fine with it.
You are over thinking the dancing. You'll be fine just as you are. :-)
