Re: C Section and Stripping
I've danced with one for years and it's never hurt my money. I actually don't ever remember a guy ever mentioning it. My scar is only about 2-3 inches and is right where the crease is between the belly and mons on some girls. I danced with a largish belly chain to cover it for a bit, but that became a pita so I just stopped.
For auditions and such where I may be seen by management in a well lit office, I'll cover it with a temporary tat.
Re: C Section and Stripping
some of the girls at the lclubd i have worked have them and guys comment alot about it. but...these girls are more overweight and the c section isnt the only thing you are looking at. they have big bellies and arent in good shape so that draws negative attention to them. i honestly didnt know what the scar was or if it was streatch marks on most of the girls i had seen. im not familiar with c sections so i didnt know they even left a scar, but the thing i noticed on all these girls were that they were out of shape with big bellies. so if you are in decent shape i dont think its a big deal at all.
Re: C Section and Stripping
How fresh is it? Mine is so tiny, less than 3 inches long and it's barely noticeable in good light. Although, mine is also low enough that my thong covers it.
It will fade more and more over time. Really, what guys bitch about when it comes to the "mom" stripper is fat, not so much stretch marks or scars. If a stripper has a gut, then I hear comments about her C-scar, or stretch marks, but if she's in shape, they don't really seem to care about a little scar or a few marks here and there.

Oh it's only a month old right now, it looks like it won't be too bad once it's had longer to heal, except that it's crooked, and higher than alot of the ones I've seen.
I'm in good shape...well not as toned as I was pre pregnancy, but that will change once I can get back in the gym. if I go back it won't be until the end of the summer, next falll at the earliest, so hopefully I'll be firm and hard by then ;D.
Re: C Section and Stripping
Oh, you'll be fine then. I remember with mine, the skin sort of turned outward at one end when it was stapled and it gave it a puckered appearance. I was really worried about it but it healed beautifully anyways.
Grats on the baby, by the way! If you're still in good shape a month after giving birth, then you will definitely be fine by fall, lol. I was a mess after my pregnancy, so I have a lot of respect for those who can keep it together during all that.

I'd get some scar sheets and mederma. That will help smooth it out a lot. Keep it out of the sun (even if you tan). UV exposure will make it heal with a reddish or dark color instead of fading to the almost invisible silverish color of a well healed scar. If it really is higher and more obvious than you'd like, just use a temp tatoo. There are covers such as derma blend, but I wouldn't really recomend them because of the possibility of rub off during lap dances.
Also, don't be concerned about not being able to firm up. I had a six-pack for a long time after I had my first. It is possible to get back to the pre-pregnancy body, especially if you didn't gain a ton.

Thanks! And don't give me too much credit I've been a bit of a mess myself, which is one of the reasons I've been thinking alot about going back to work. I love my baby but I don't know that I can handle being a 24/7 stay at home mom.
Re: C Section and Stripping
I had to have a section after 23 hours of horrible labor, 4 epidurals that kept wearing off, and by then only dialating to 6.... 4 1/2 months later I am 17 lbs more than I was pre pregnancy (I went from 98 to 142, gained a lot BUT my doc says I was really underweight) and hoping to loose atleast another 10 lbs and toning up some more before getting back to work. My scar is pretty low and has healed well and not very visible... As long as you work out, tone your belly and get a nice tan (tanning usually makes you look thinner for some reason) Im sure u will be fine!!!
Oh and dont worry about not wanting to be home w/ the lil one all of the time... Theres really so much interaction you can have with an infant before you need REAL human interaction n freakin go crazy... I am currently working part time @ a skechers store, which is helping a little bit incomewise AND gets me out the house!! Maybe try something like that if you cant get back to work right away!!
Good luck n congrats on the lil one!!
Re: C Section and Stripping
hey prettyprincess congrats on your baby, i also had a c-section a little over a month ago, fortunately for me you really have to look close to see my scar and besides that its down where my panties cover it so thank goodness, so far it has not keloid so i'm greatfull, but i'm think by the time i decied to go back dancing i wont have a prob ...but there is always makeup or as a previous poster said you can always put a tattoo to cover it
Re: C Section and Stripping
Congrats on the little one!
I went back 2.5 months after my c-section, and it's been 2 weeks already. The scar is still healing and is still a bit darker, but I am able to hide it pretty well under what I wear. What I've found works for me is wearing booty shorts over my thongs. They come up a little higher than the thongs do so it hides the scar better.
Definitely look into getting something to put on the scar to help minimize it. Like someone said the scar sheets or some type of cream or oil.

Thanks! I have the rest of my bio oil that I'm using, I might try mederma though. I'll just have to come to terms with wearing underwear that covers my asscrack...damn lol.
Congrats to you too! Has your scar or your tummy been bothering you at since you've been dancing again?

Thanx!
Nope nothing has been bothering me at all. My stomach muscles are even starting to get back to normal, and I've almost got all the feeling back in my nerves where I was cut. It wasn't like that with my first. This time around I'm finding the recovery much easier
Re: C Section and Stripping
I second that it usually only matters if you are overweight or out of shape. The extra weight makes the flesh pooch out unattractively around the scar, but when toned it is barely noticeable. Drug use also makes it show more, since the skin gets sallow and loose. In those cases in can look very icky.
I have worked with at least three different girls that have had them and another girl who had surgery that left a similar line, that I didn't notice even after seeing them naked in harsh light. The girl with the other surgery, I knew her for years without even realizing there WAS a scar, she had to point it out to me and even then I dismissed it.
Usually the scar just blends into the normal crease there.
Re: C Section and Stripping

It's been 2 years since mine, but I believe I remember having to wait until my 6wk post-op to be cleared for strenuous exercise.
You MUST wait until your OB clears you or you can hurt yourself badly. Four days after my 1st (the morning after I was released), I had to break up some ice on the steps to take my son in for an appointment. In doing so I tore the muscle a bit on my right side and pulled a few stiches loose. DON'T do it! You will add weeks or months to your recovery!
Re: C Section and Stripping
Buy MEDERMA! I don't know where the thread about BA's went that I was talking about it but it's awesome! I had thick nasty scar tissue from a reduction and it's gone now. If you don't draw attention to it than it's no big deal. I've worked with girls that have the old fashioned c-section scar (up and down) and another that had some type of abdominal surgery as an infant that cut through her stomach muscle and slightly deformed it. She made money. Like the other girls said as long as your stomach is toned it won't matter.
