bout 6 hour shifts, daytime. When I worked nights, I could make almost twice that. :)
What club are you working at now?
I have a good friend who just quit day shift in Co. Springs. She said the average for girls on day shift down there is about $150.
I know from friends of mine that the average night shifts in Denver are only bringing in about $200 - often even less.
I will say that Wyoming has some much better opportunities. Same money but the customers are much better behaved.

^^^ Good luck with finding a teaching position! :-)
I work at PTs Showclub on Evans..... my profit ranges from $300-$600 depending on the day. Friday and Saturday nights are PACKED, soooo much money potential. I never leave with any less than $400 working from 10pm-2pm. Only sucky thing is the majority of customers are young guys wanting to "hook up" or ask "what your doing after work" I have been having shitty days a little more often lately but on a good day I average $100 an hour. Good stage money here no matter what! And all types of girls make money, not just one race or look.
^^^ I know other dancers who are working at that club and are not making that good of money. I hope you are very thankful because the other dancers are having a hard time.
^^^^^Well, like I said i definately have been experiencing way more bad days than usual. When I first started I never ever left with less than $200, ever. Now there are days I make fees and that's it. The problem with the girls at this club is the majority are lazy. 75% of them sit in the locker room or in groups at the bar complaining about how shitty money is, when they don't try to make it. My biggest problem is I get to work and listen to all these lazy girls saying how bad it is and it kind of ruins my mood to be there. No girl but there is definately good money making potential, you just have to be a good hustler.
^^^^^ I have been wanting to try Shorguns or La Boheem. I heard Shotguns is good. But I know statistically Showclub makes the most money in Colorado
^^^ You won't find that. Shotguns is not owned by VCGH, although the building is leased from them. Therefore since VCGH is publicly traded with quarterly financial reports and Shotguns is not publicly traded with published results, there is nothing to compare. However, its general knowledge that there is more money to be made at Shotguns if you enjoy their environment.
i didn't know if she meant money made by the club, or by the dancers.
money coming into the club doesn't necessarily mean there's money for the dancers. drink specials, etc, brings in cheapasses who are there for drink specials. it's so infuriating.
i live in denver. i average 500 dayshift. i would not dance for $150 average.
^^^ What a club makes is usually a pretty good indicator of how much money customers are spending. Sometimes seasoned dancers will look at annual reports that have been released before choosing a club to work.
I agree that I wouldn't dance for $150/night average... but for some people that is good money especially during a recession. For an 8 hour shift that's $18.75/hr and if you can't get a good paying job because you lack the education, you need a flexible schedule, or you simply can't find other work that pays well then it certainly beats working at a fast food restaurant or Wal-mart for $8/hr!
Some people think that taking their clothes off for a living is degrading and that they should be paid really well for it. Personally, it's not even that for me. I've been dancing for many years and for a number of them I maintained a regular job too. I can officially tell you that I despise paperwork, talking on the phone to mindless people, pointless meetings, and terrible co-workers who can actually effect my job etc. I would rather strip for a living than put up with mind numbing things like those on a day to day basis that just cause more stress. Now its like I strip, collect the money and go home. I my have to deal with a snooty dancer here or there, but nothing compared to the problems in a regular office.
yeah i have a "reg" job and i dance on my off days. there are things i hate about both jobs but when i focus on just one i burn out way faster.
i don't find taking my clothes off degrading either. being bossed around on all sides and answering to three people who all want something different from me, and NOW, for a few bucks an hour--that's degrading.
talk about devaluing the product though. i have chicks at my club happy to make $75 a day and sit around drunk talking to customers for free. ::)
Well, there will always be people who devalue their own service/product.
One of the smartest things anyone ever said to me was a statement by Confucius
"Choose a job you love, and you'll never have to work a day in your life."
Of course by "job" that implies that you need to still charge for it... a point that some people just seem to miss.
thank you! :P It drives me crazy at my club too...girls who sit at the bar or in the DR bitching all day about the "recession"...just yakking nonstop about how horrible they have it and how broke they are, and how it's all because of the economy. It couldn't possibly have anything to do with the fact they sit on their asses with a horrible attitude all night...no, it has to be the economy. ::)
^^^ Colorado dancers have pretty much always been like that. The only really good hustlers here that you really see are the ones that have danced in places where you have to hustle to make any money or have been well trained by another dancer or program like DancerWealth... both of which are rare.
I won't complain though, it makes earning money easier.
As for the recession, people will always complain. The fact is that as the years go on dancers earn less and less. There's a lot of reasons for it but you can't blame it on any one thing. You should see what the burlesque dancers used to earn though, some made a LOT more than dancers today... and that was an average of almost 70 years ago! It's less taboo now and there's a lot more technology plus all the economic hardships recently. Most dancers today don't earn what dancers did in the 90's or even after the dot com burst... but there is still good money to be made and still more than most jobs pay.
yeah the lazy bitches are complaining while i'm cleaning up.
how can you complain about how bad the customers are when you're spending all your time in the dressing room and haven't even been on the floor? haha.
and i really don't like anything enough to do it as work and not get burned out. once it's a repetitive motion, it sucks.
Well I have two more interviews to go through for teaching, one for a position with Lockheed Martin...if those don't work out, maybe I'll try up in Denver.
Thanks ladies!
^^^ Have you already tried Appaloosa?
No-Trying to get out of the Springs b/c less chance of running into old students, future principals or fellow teachers, etc. Don't want to enter an interview in the future, and see a man I got naked for (or his wife!). lol
A lot of guys travel to Denver for the clubs, so it won't totally put you in the clear... but I understand your point.
Try Shotgun Willies... the money over there is always pretty good from what I hear.
