I dont think asking for an average estimate is fair. An average for who? A dancer at a dive without exceptional game or a top hustler at an upscale club? There is also a lot of variation depending on location. There seems to be a very large standard deviation in earnings, for some girls its 100 for some its several hundred.
What is maturity leave? Did you mean maternity leave? Confused...
I think the OP wanted to take a hiatus to decide if she wanted to continue?
I was also going to ask this question. I think averages from various girls would be helpful for new girls like me to figure out how they should be doing. I see these thousand dollar nights and then I see newbie's posting they make 100 a night and I worry that for my first night I may not even make enough to pay house! But I really have no idea. They gave me day shifts, which I assume are slower, so it will be interesting to see!
used to average $200/hr at my club before January... now $100/hr is tough and I'm a top girl there... still good $, but it requires alot more hustle and effort. right now, I say I average about $50/hr. and slightly more on Fri's/Sat's...
My average is about $175 a night after tip outs/fees...
$0-$1000
so yeah maternity leave i just had a baby and have mush for brains now. so before i stopped dancing i was averaging $400-$500 and i know were in recession. just wondering if this has effected very many of the girls money.
yes it has affected the money. its affected businesses everywhere. Not as many people are going out and those that do often have a tight grip on their wallet that requires coaxing to loosen up. A lot of girls are cutthroat and desperate. The whole "i want my moneys worth (a.k.a. a beej)" philosophy is rampant, and many girls are willing to oblige.
There is honestly a huge variation. Here are my earnings for this week: Weds i made 400, yesterday i made 1050, but then on Tuesday i only made 70. So with fluctuations like that, its hard to come up with an average. At this point i focus much more on my weekly earnings than my nightly earnings, since there is some consistency with that. I have a quota of 1,000 a week, and i almost always make that.
So yea.. there is still money out there... but it requires hard work, good people skills, a positive attitude, proper maintenance of looks, and a little luck never hurts either.
I dont really want to be the person telling you to search, but there is a thread called 'dancing during a recession' with a lot of posts talking about how the money is. I am too lazy to find the link. There is also another thread titled "anyone still making good money?" or something similar to that.
I'm in your area. I don't normally dance here because the money is so horrid right now, and there are other cities where the money is better or equal to here but the customers are better. However, many of my close friends tell me what they are earning and it is pretty similar at most of the clubs. The average in the area now is about $200 per shift, if you are a really good hustler you might be able to pull out $400 to $500. To go higher than that you really need to have some spectacular regulars.
FYI, Boulder girls are reporting hire earnings.
Ah...if only i had the motivation to drive to Boulder...lol. Here in the Sprins it's about the same. Day shift is very slow, night shift is slow.
^^^ Yes, but if you think about it a night of dancing in Boulder equals two nights or more dancing in the Springs... so it could be worth it.
It also completely depends on the club.
I know girls at clubs that are the same "level" of club, literally down the road from mine, but are making 20 bucks a night, and girls at other clubs still bringing in over a grand a night.
I'm doing anywhere between $250 (slow night, feeling fat and lazy) and $1000 (good night, but slow in the club, hustling my ass off). I don't set a nightly goal, just try to do my best.
Brush up on your hustle and sales tactics and you'll do just fine. Work on building regulars and developing rapport with management. I'm making almost as much money as I was before the recession.
Hey you!! It's Gypsy :)
You left around October right?? Take whatever you were making pre-liquor license and divide it in 2. That number is around what your average will be now.. It's really depressing. really really really depressing. My average at nitro is $250 now, regardless of what night it is. I haven't really been to work much, but i remember the good old days- I made 1K twice in a week there once, and made anywhere from 5-800 per night!! like... 400 was a BAD night... i would kill to make that kind of money again. Getting the liquor license is the most stupid thing that m&p ever did (for us, not for them- they're making bank!).
I'm going to be dancing more, and I just plan on working longer shifts to make up for it and trying to get more regulars.
hi gypsy!!! so yeah i worked there for two weeks, i haven't made anything over 150. i keep getting guys that say "well if i had money i would buy a dance from you" its quite frustrating. so i've been dancing around to see if there's better money other places. i miss the old nitro too the whole place was different it was a lot more fun as well. if i could leave state to try other places i would. i've definatly noticed all the 'extra effort' crap too. that will never change. it just gotten worse over the 6 years i've been dancing. thanks to all for giving me some better insight. i definatly need to polish up my hustling skills.
^^^ Why can't you leave the state? Family? School? I'd say there are other places that are much better!
It depends on your skill and the club you work at. I'm currently working in Chicago and haven't taken home anything less then $800. In Seattle I usually don't take home less than $400.
i cant leave state because i just had my baby i think its to soon to leave him for a weekend(for me anyways). i've been thinking about flying out to different places but not for another year or so, and it would be once a month. there are a few other things on my agenda i'd like to get done as well before i start traveling.
I've been doing $300-$500 and about $600-$700 on the weekends. Mind you I work about 4 or five hours a night.
^^^ What state are you dancing in?
Nrexm are you at vips?
After years of working blue-collar joints, I finally made the move to upscale 4 months ago. After getting the hang of the "new hustle", I seem to be making less than I did last month or two months ago.
On weeknights I was walking with about upper $200s--mid $300s; weekends mid $400s...the most I've ever walked with was $500 on a Saturday.
Even though the recession has been around for awhile, times at my club are REALLY bad...the only ones who seem to make money are the ones favored by the floor managers, or the girls who have consistent regulars, or the girls who are in the right place at the right time.
Since everyone is making less, girls are working more shifts...and there's only one shift (7pm-2am Sun-Thurs, Fri-Sat 7pm-3am)...we can have 20-25 during the week and 30 during the weekends...and the club isn't that big!
This last week for me I walked with $120 on Wed., $225 on Fri., $175 on Sat., and $157 on Sun...and lately, Fridays don't get busy until 11pm-midnight! How the hell am I going to pay bills with making this kinda crap?!
Even on Sundays and Mondays we have $10 dances and the house fee is waived. I would work more, but the club won't let me work some nights 'cuz I have class until 8:30.
I'm trying not to let it get the best of me, but I have $10 to my name now. :'(:(
I decided I'm going for better odds, and I'm going to work 1-2 days at a blue-collar joint I did well at before...there's only 5 or 6 girls max for the whole shift...and save the fancy-schmacy place when I want to work with 25 other people for later.
No I'm working at Scores.
I heard VIPs is good though
