Keeping big spenders interest. How?
Ok, so I have a really great customer that comes in about twice a month. I do see him OTC, as he likes to go to the top restaurants here in town. Usually we have dinner than he comes to the club and spends anywhere from 2-4 hours in the VIP at 500$ an hour... Needless to say I do very well when he comes to town.
The problem is : I run out of steam... We talk a lot at dinner so when he gets to the club and we are in a room for hours I feel like I run out of things to do, say, etc. 4 hours is a long time to entertain someone. Thankfully we have karaeoke in one of the rooms so we had a little fun with that last time...helped break up the time. BUT, I feel that HE will stay as long as I want to. He's done 2 hours, we sit on the floor a little , do some dances than go do another one or two. I'm always the one getting tired. How do I stay sharp and get it ALL tonight?

I have a box of props for drinking games (though I tend to do them with only-1-out-of-five shots is real booze, like some are vodka, the rest are water, we just have the waitress bring a giant tray of them all mixed up, it adds a little bit of Russian roulette to the fun, and helps the waitress out, and you don't get SO plowed, the guys know this and are usually amenable), which includes a deck of cards, and one of those "Would You Rather...?" books (the naughty version, of course!) That I pick a few questions out of to keep in the back of my head in case of a serious lull in conversation. They're great convo rebooters!
Good luck, I hope you get all that money!
PS- holy run on parenthetical, Batman! Sorry...
Re: Keeping big spenders interest. How?
^^^ Great idea
So is this guy paying you above VIP rates to go to dinner with him? Otherwise it sounds like you might be creating your own problem. Stop going to dinner with him and start doing the talking in VIP. Or rather than doing dinner opt for something like coffee, tea or dessert that doesn't take as long to consume so you talk less OTC.
Normally, between dancing and chit chat I don't really run out of things to do or say to the customers.
Have you added in massages?

Unfortunately, once you start going OTC....you can rarely get him to go back to club only. Give 'em an inch, he'll take a mile!
I regular dance with customers. This works especially well with business types. Learn a few swing dance, tango, or other type of choreographed dance. practice the steps after you've had a bit to drink....then once you've taught him the steps, have the dj play a few songs of that genre. They LOVE it!
Re: Keeping big spenders interest. How?
^^^ Thats good... I make him teach me tae kwon do moves and stuff. As far as the OTC thing, I really don't mind it, he's one of a small percentage that WILL keep spending in the club, the fact that we have dinner helps him rationalize spending that kind of money. In my mind if going to a nice dinner is going to make it so I make 2 grand then its worth it. He's not bad company and it is very clear that after dinner we proceed immediately to the club.
Its not running out of things to say really, I just get bored, tired etc.... I just want to keep that same energy level up so there is a sense of urgency to spend more.

I absolutely agree with you Pure. Especially in this economy, we can't worry about picking up every nickel and dime. As long as you are honest about your limits, it sounds like you have a GREAT custie!
