This has been bugging me for a while, and it seems to have gotten worse at work lately. When customer ask, as they almost inevitably do, if you have a boyfriend, husband etc, what do you say? I used to always say I was single which then led to a ton more comments like "why, you're so pretty? you must be a lesbian! you've gotta be lying!! Date me?" etc.
I say this because I feel like guys want the fantasy that you're happy, hot and potentially available, and saying you have a significant other kinda takes away from that. Doesn't that spoil it for guys, when you dance for them and they know you're going home to your hubby afterwards?
BUT recently I've had so many offers of dates and guys not believing I'm single (I'm actually not single lol) that I almost want to say I have someone special, just to ward em off! In short, what do you do? And do you think it affects your money at all?
