Staying focused on really busy weekend nights...
Hi everyone!
I'm going to start at a new club after traveling around for a few months. Supposedly the club I'm starting at is the busiest in Aus, getting 1000+ guys on Friday and Saturday nights. I've never worked at a club like this, and sometimes get overwhelmed when the club is too busy. Does anyone have advice on how I can stay focused in this kind of environment? Thanks!
Re: Staying focused on really busy weekend nights...
Get one dollar from every guy there and you're set!!!
I dunno I've worked at a few super-clubs and usually when it's packed like that I would either
A) have guys coming up to ME as there's NO WAY they have enough dancers to make a nice dancer to customer ratio
B) Ask the waitresses who have money and tip them if they point you in the right direction.
also, trynot to get overly drunk and keep hustling. Stay on your feet and on the floor as much as possible,
Lastly, wear a BANGING outfit to set you apart from the other girls.

i'm at a busy melb club also, i found a lot of guys approach the girls..otherwise if you start making money, just think to yourself how awesome it'd be to be the girl with the most at the end of the night and just work work work :)

Damn I need to work in Aus.
I try to just ask everyone for dances on busy nights. I don't really have a lot of time to just sit and chat with customers so I try to keep my hustle short. It works out because I usually average a few hundred an hour when there is a ton of customers. Just keep that in mind and you'll do great.
I also start from the back and work my way towards the stage, that way it's not so overwhelming to go through crowds of people.

Wow this is such a great post to read for someone who's gonna audition at a Melbourne club this week!
May I ask what club you're at? Totally understand if you don't wanna post it here.
Re: Staying focused on really busy weekend nights...
me? i'm at centrefold..you?
Re: Staying focused on really busy weekend nights...
Oh, I actually meant TravelandStrip. I knew you were at centrefold anyway coz you helped me out in another thread though..
I'm thinking of auditioning at centrefold this week..
Re: Staying focused on really busy weekend nights...
Hey girls! Im in Sydney but work in Melbourne at lot as the Sydney clubs take 40% of your $$$. Booooo! Anyhoo..Paris I never heard that centrefold was busy. Have you worked anywhere else to compare to?
I find 1000+ an extremely high number for any club especially Melbourne during winter. Obviously during Grand Prix or Melbourne Cup, but a regular Fri/Sat when its cold and rainy??? Maybe I've just never thought about numbers but that seems really high.
I worked at Spearmint Rhino - which was not busy but seemed to have good spenders and easy to get good regular customers and Bar20 which is really busy but mostly full of younger guys with not much $$. But because it is busy it is rare to have a really bad night.
In my experience at both these clubs you don't have to talk much. Introduce yourself a bit of small talk and ask for a dance. With sometimes up to 50 girls working I think if you wait around for people to ask you, your losing precious time and money! Ask, ask, ask and then ask some more. The guys in melbourne know why you are approaching them so don't be shy. Most of them will tell you straight away if they are interested or not. There are not too many time wasters. Crappy thing about Melbourne guys...they hardly ever buy you drinks! Soooo annoying.
Sydney guys make you talk to them for ages before you get a dance, but they generally spend more money and buy you TONS of drinks. I'm always trashed in Sydney. Shame the club takes so much of the money :(
Re: Staying focused on really busy weekend nights...
I don't think centrefold is that busy at the moment. It's too cold for people to be going out at the moment I think.
Re: Staying focused on really busy weekend nights...
centrefold has been busy lately...i've been making heaps more in the last 2 months
Re: Staying focused on really busy weekend nights...

Sorry I try to stay as anonymous as possible! So I can post here and not censor myself... but it's in the city centre.

Fair enough. Good luck wherever you are working!
Re: Staying focused on really busy weekend nights...
Didn't know Melbourne had a club that capacity?! They most have hundred plus girls working then?!
I've been working in Spearmint Rhino for 8 months and talked to girls that have been around the other clubs but never heard of a club that size...? Ah well all the best and keep moving, don't sit down unless you're booked out, also if possible try to do your stage sets when the club is peaking to get maximum exposure!

I reckon that the 1000+ comes from the whole night... we are open REALLY late. Also I find Melbourne to be really busy right now actually, what with the footy on and everything. Much better than the numbers from January and even February.
Re: Staying focused on really busy weekend nights...
January and February are always slower in Melbourne than now as no real events are on and like anywhere that celebrates Christmas, credit cards get maxed out. I'm finding that weekends are still busier than weekdays in most clubs but it's far from really busy now. The AFL final weekend is probably the next big date to mark in the diary.
