I always get the money for the first dance up front, so if the worst happens, at least I'm not totally screwed.
But, I would get his ID and take down his information (one club held the guy's ID until he came back to pay me). Or, if all else fails, tip the bouncers to hold him at citizen's arrest until the cops come. He did steal from you, after all.
Get your bouncer to talk to him while you get the manager. He can take down his info or hold his ID.
While it's not always, I think the not paying up is a good deal of the time the dancer's fault. The ones time I had a guy refuse to pay (my manager guilted him into it) I didn't tell him the 2nd song had started, I just relied on him listening to the DJ (bad advice from other girls). Don't throw a guy into a room and say "we're having fun!" You can say that buy make sure you somehow cutely and not business-like mention the price. And unless I've done 5 songs ($200) and the guy knows and is cool with it, I make sure I say something at each song "let's keep going..." whatever works).
If a guy knows the bill he's racking up he seems to be less likely to not pay, and they love the excuse "she didn't tell me... I couldnt understand the DJ." Some may use it anyway but it's a waste of everyone's time to trick a guy into spending hundreds of dollars he may literally NOT have, and it just makes the dancer, and the club, look bad.
in south carolina not paying a stripper counts as sexual assault. LOL. i had a dancer friend call the cops on a customer when he couldn't pay her.
another time a customer was held in the office while his friends went downtown to an ATM.
in dallas a customer flat out RAN out the door and down the street, stiffing a girl for about $275. she got his liscense plate number.
if you can get a liscense, an address, SOMETHING, run a background check ($10-$100 online) and then type up a very nice invoice for the number of dances you did, and the amount the custie owes. make it look very professional. be sure to mention that if the amount is not paid within 14 days from the date of this letter, you will add a 25% service charge, or something, and also mention that you would like to be paid within so many days, otherwise you will take him to court over it.
most guys will pay you, especially because they don't want their wives knowing whats up, and mailing a letter to the house is something that scares the fuck out of them.
My club will NOT interfere and help you get money. You are essentially SOL and they explain this when you are hired.
i work a few clubs, some will help you get the money and some won't. if i feel the guy is going to stiff me i do one dance make it not so great and i take his phone and use it for an exchange. if he doesn't pay he'll be back for the phone if he doesn't come back he's still out of money for a new phone, so i'm not the only one fucked out of money.
Oh hell no, you better hold me back before I do a can of whoop ass :bomb: especially when I dance for the custie and no $
ALWAYS get the $ upfront, until he becomes a regular then he can pay at the end or you can ask the bartenders, hostesses, managers if your custie has a good reputation or not. Managers are supposed to step in & take care of this specific type of situations, either they talk to the custie & the custie is banned from the club. They get the bouncer to scare the custie until he pays or calls someone to bring him $. Afterwards, you are obligated to leave the manager & bouncer a good tip for handling the dilemma for you.
At the club, I work at I was first a waitress then one year later I came back to become a dancer. I got along with all the managers, bartenders, and cooks however, the waitresses on the other hand can be caddy. They think they run the shit their so I never ask the waitresses for anything.
How do you guys get the money upfront???
I can't do this. It's SOP at my club to ask afterwards. If I ask before, guys either get a) suspicious I'm going to give a sucky dance or b) pissed and think I don't trust them to have money. And I never get a tip.
I don't know, I guess I've just been lucky because they always pay...
At the club that I just worked at a customer who I had danced for before wouldn't pay me $20 for table dances. He was drunk and out of cash. Had it been the first time I danced for him I would've had him pay me up front, I thought I "knew him". Rookie mistake for a seasoned pro like me! Long story short, the bouncers wouldn't do shit. They told me to get the manager who was in his office about 3,000 feet away. The customer left and the boncer had the nerve to tell me I had nice legs.
This was the first time I quit that place!!!
I tried the club policy line last Friday. The guy got super pissed at me and told me I was full of shit and no one else has ever told him that. I walked away.
I had a bad feeling about him though and that was why I pushed it... and glad I did because he had $27 in his bank account (our dances are $40) and he couldn't pay the girl he ended up dancing with and ran out... shorted her $200! :P

this is sad, but pretty much. Sometimes you have to take matter into your own hands depending how motivated you are about getting your money or at the very least show the f*cker the consequences of stealing. and stay very calm while executing the following steps. Tell him you will call the cops. take a picture of him using your cell phone and send it to your bf waiting outside the parking lot so that he can't run away before the cops get there. tell them he sexually assaulted you and make a scene depending on how asshole-ish he is about the whole matter.
Most of the clubs with pricey VIP rooms get the money up front, and check the card to make sure he's not going over the limit.
On the floor, I personally use the $100 rule with customers I feel confident will pay. Once they run the tab to $100 it's time to "feed the meter" (and I stick out my boobs so they can put the cash in my cleavage)
If I don't feel confident they will pay (he's wasted, or just my intuition tells me) I will ask for payment after the first dance.
i also use my intuition on who to charge up front. 90% of the guys i wont, but the 10% i will. last week i took a guy in the back for the 3/100, and i just had a bad feeling about him, so i got the money right away. low and behold, a dance into it, he whipped his dick out and was telling me that the other girl gave him a bj, and that i should to, cause he knows the owner. and when i didn't- he was PISSED. he asked for his money back, but naturally i didn't give it to him. and i bet that if i didn't collect upfront, he would've tried to stiff me. i've called the cops before too...
I waitressed at a SC in Tulsa. When someone wants to run a tab we were responsible for holding their ID and credit card. However the first thing we did was run it for a $150.00 hold and once their tab reached $100 we were required to take the ID, card and slips to a manager to review and sign off on it. If we didn't do that and when the time came to close the tab we would be help responsible for the tab if the card was declined for the full amount. I would take the stuff to a manager and make them resign every $100 that was racked up. That way I had my money and the dancers got theirs too. The girls knew that I had their custies tab they didn't have to worry about getting what they earned. As a result the girls would often tip me and make sure to bring their custies to my section. It was a win win situation.
I had a guy who didn't want to pay last Friday...
He was foreighn, and I told him I would call the cops if he didn't pay, I yelled at him like I was his mother ("no, you did the dances, you have to pay for them and take care of your debts like an adult" he was like 22) and told one of his friends. It took five or so minutes but he paid.
One of my dancer friends uses the cop line a lot, but I could never call the cops to come my manager would kill me. But it's a good bluff with guys you know are illegal.
My bouncers will just look at you and shrug. Hell I could be on fire and a few of them would just shove past you.
If guys try to tell me they don't have money at any point in the evening I tell them "Platinum Plus will get money out of your pocket if all you think you have in lint in there. Lets see your wallet and see what I have to work with."
