If you ask a cop is he/she.. is do they have to admit it?
Ok...I've been hearing about citations and raids.
My question is..if there is cop in your club. Say you're sitting there and ask..hey are you a cop? I want to see your badge?
Would they leagally have to identify themselves? Or could they lie and it be considered undercover work on their part?
Just wondering about this:detective
Thanks...

Re: If you ask a cop is he/she.. is do they have to admit it?
That's a myth.
You can ask them all you want if they're a cop, but if they're working undercover they don't have to admit it to you.
-
Re: If you ask a cop is he/she.. is do they have to admit it?
From what I've been told by both law enforcement (we have a cop come give a speech every 6 months) and club management...
Undercover cops aren't allowed to outwardly break your rules, but they can ENCOURAGE you to allow them to break them. I've also been told multiple times that, when it comes down to it, it will be your word/theirs. Allowing customers to be handsy for a "better tip" is prostitution on some level (if touching certain areas is illegal in your city. I'm not judging you for it at all, I'm just saying that the ONLY way to really reduce your chances of getting arrested is not to do it.
-
Re: If you ask a cop is he/she.. is do they have to admit it?
Undercover officers have a lot of leeway and are not required to identify themselves during the course of an undercover investigation.
-
Re: If you ask a cop is he/she.. is do they have to admit it?
Elusive21,
Thanks. Exactly though. good point what you asked. My girlfriend said in her club she's trying to see if this works, to weed out the cops..but also doesn't want to fall into an entrapment situation..
She says something like this: "So if you're not a cop, graze your hand on my breast then."
Or simlpy, " don't you want to touch me? , don't you want to touch my breast?, then touch it."
She's tells me..ok the dude grazed my breast with my hand..so she felt better knowing that most likely the custy was not a cop. But then she said..well she can't contiune to say that though..cuz she worries if it could be used against her.
So whats a girl to do??? There has to be a way in which we have the right to ask a cop to identify themselves.
-
Re: If you ask a cop is he/she.. is do they have to admit it?
Well i'm reading the posts. Yes I guess I get they are working undercover..but its so lame ..its not like we are embezzaling money or dealing drugs..we are minding our own business working in the club. I'm not an extras girl..but if you know a cop is in the club..well then maybe I won't be pushing my boob on the side of a custy's face..but it sure makes it a bit more nerve wracking that you got to be so "on guard."
just wanted to see if there was any fool proof way to have cops identify themselves or if they are NOT allowed to say of do certain things to you. So I guess at least they CANNOT touch you.
-
Re: If you ask a cop is he/she.. is do they have to admit it?
No unfortunately they do not have to identify themselves, and asking a cop to touch your boob is a good way to get arrested!!! However....
The COP should not touch you in any way, at all!!!! So if you are giving a lapdance and the dude doesn't TOUCH you at all in areas it is allowed in your club, it may be a sign he is a cop.
And/or ask HIM for a kiss, no toungue, a kiss on the cheek! Stay within the clubs rules! If you tell a cop to touch your tit or vag, wether you are getting paid for it or not it cannot end up well! Have him touch your leg, ankle, arm, anywhere that is within the clubs rules! If he refuses to touch you at all he is probably an undercover!

Re: If you ask a cop is he/she.. is do they have to admit it?
Here's an interesting article:
Many times it's those officers who are inexperienced in undercover work that are guilty of behaving inappropriately in the club, when they are supposed to be there to monitor for violations. I can't stand it when civil servants take advantage of their authority and parties on the public dollar. Irks the shit outta me! >:(

Re: If you ask a cop is he/she.. is do they have to admit it?
They'll dick you over, it's a stripper's word against a cop's. Who is a judge going to believe?

Re: If you ask a cop is he/she.. is do they have to admit it?
There are a few signs of that a customer is an undercover police officer:
1. Mustache. The short well trimmed sort of mustache that is the only kind of facial hair allowed for officers.
Quote:
Mustaches will not present a chopped off or bushy appearance, and no portion of the mustache will cover the upper lip line or extend sideways beyond a vertical line drawn upward from the corners of the mouth. Handlebar mustaches, goatees, and beards are not authorized. If appropriate medical authority prescribes beard growth, the length required for medical treatment must be specified. For example, “The length of the beard will not exceed 1/4 inch.” Soldiers will keep the growth trimmed to the level specified by appropriate medical authority, but they are not authorized to shape the growth into goatees, or “Fu Manchu” or handlebar mustaches.
2. Shoes. If LE are on duty and are planning arrests, you'll see a certain type of shoe on the officers. Check out the different styles here. This is only a good way to gauge if a bust is about to take place. If they are simply gathering evidence and don't intend to arrest anyone, the footwear can be anything. However, if you come to work one night and see new faces and several pairs of those shoes, you might want to develop a sudden migraine or something and go home.
3. Haircuts. LE has uniform standards of hair style. It will depend on your city as to what the uniform hair cut is, but you have likely seen enough officers in your area to get an idea as to how they like to wear their hair.
4. Attitude. They may seem a bit to serious or grumpy. They will also ask really direct questions about extras. There can't be any gray area when making an arrest, so innuendo isn't really their thing.

Re: If you ask a cop is he/she.. is do they have to admit it?
I just want to share that I've danced for several cops in the past. It's good to slide your hands over their chest to see if they're wearing a wire (the one I danced for had a wire in his hat that he refused to take off but I could feel it) and sometimes they will have a gun strapped to their leg or belt. Always be wary if they start asking you SPECIFIC questions such as "If I pay you $60 can I touch the bottom part of you" <-- yes I actually got asked this by a cop or "how much to touch your breasts?" "how much to have you come back to my hotel room?" things like that . . . I've never had a cop reach out and touch me first (although apparently the seattle vice can get away with that) but like penny said they will definitely try to encourage you to do that. They ask SOOO many questions. Those are just the signs that I watch out for. Just wanted to share.

Re: If you ask a cop is he/she.. is do they have to admit it?
this won't really work in a strip club, but i heard that when trying to pick up a prostitute, the best way to determine that she's not an undercover cop is to ask her to take naked pictures.
:D

Re: If you ask a cop is he/she.. is do they have to admit it?
No a cop never has to identify themselves..that would kind of defeat the purpose of being undercover wouldnt it? And theres no foolproof way to tell. Even the haircuts,etc...dont apply to undercovers. They can look however they want. The point is to BLEND IN. And if a custie touches you...doesnt mean they arent undercover. I've danced for undercovers that were all over me.I had to pin their hands to the seat to make them stop(I found out they were undercovers later)
My advice...dont do anything you arent supposed to be doing. Dont allude that you WILL do anything you arent supposed to be doing.Dont talk to customers about drugs. Dont drink if you are underage or are going to drive....common sense stuff.
I've danced for lots of cops.I have friends who are cops. And I've dealt with undercover in clubs. I dont do anything illegal or hint that I would so I've never had a problem. If you arent breaking rules/laws...then why would you be so worried about it?
On the chance that a cop will arrest you when you ARENT doing anything illegal...theres nothing you can do about it anyway(at that moment). Finding out ahead of time doesnt matter.
Just keep within the laws (NOT necessarily whats common for the club...saying that the club allows it or that other girls do it will be about as good as saying "but all the other cars were speeding too") with ALL your customers.

I agree..which is why I said that if they are going to do that...knowing ahead of time if they are a cop isnt going to be of any help.
Oh..and just because someone is a cop....doesnt mean that they will follow the rules. OR the law. So relying on they "cant" or "always" do something wont help either. I was drugged once...by a cop. Broward County Sheriffs office to be exact. Told me the night before in the CR that if I didnt fuck him he'd pull me over on the way home and "find" drugs on me (I dont do or carry anything illegal...so yeah..that would be plant drugs on me). I told him to go fuck himself.(I would have said that to anyone..but yes,I knew already that he was a cop.) He came back the next night and slipped something in my drink.( that he didnt buy me..just fyi..I was NOT sitting with him after that) Then tried to convince my friends as they were walking me back to the DR that he'd take me home and I'd be fine because hes a cop. I was still conscious at that time and told him that there arent enough drugs in the world for him to slip me for me to go ANYWHERE with him willingly. And my friend, who knew who he was told him off too.He was banned from the club after that.
I've also been propositioned by a ton of cops....mostly BSO in the clubs. And they are serious...not trying to trap or bust me. They liked to flash their badge hoping that it will intimidate you to fuck them. I always told them to fuck off. Then dropped names of the cops I know who could bring their career to a screeching halt. They didnt ask again usually.

Re: If you ask a cop is he/she.. is do they have to admit it?
Undercover cops do not have any specific look, shoes or haircuts. They look like normal everyday people, cause that is what they are. And they will behave anyway they want, because they can. And they don't have to tell you anything and they can lie, and they can touch you. Yes, I have been arrested by undercover vice (not a street cop) and I know this for a fact. There is no absolute for sure way you will ever know if you are dealing with a cop. You shouldn't even worry about cops. The fact is that if you are not willing to face the possible consequences of your behavior, than you shouldn't do anything you are not comfortable with. And worry less about whether some guy is cop and worry more about how good your lawyer is.

I think they're pretty easy to spot personally.

Re: If you ask a cop is he/she.. is do they have to admit it?
I must say always listen to your gut instinct! If you feel you are dealing with a cop, Before you do any of the above steps I mentioned, don't even let it get that far. Trust your instincts. If you feel you are being targeted by a cop, walk away asap, before you get to any kind of touching or talk about extras!!! Touching in a manner that is within the clubs rules is a last resort ony!

WOW! Yes best to just avoid them!

Right. I believe this is because an undercover cop having to admit he's a cop totally defeats the purpose of going undercover. They do not have to admit it when asked.

this is one of the things I hate about my job :(

Re: If you ask a cop is he/she.. is do they have to admit it?
Ok...I have to tell a semi funny cop story. Had a bunch of guys come in the club one night. Dressed normally..jeans,t shirts, sneakers, whatever. Looked like every other custie...no indications of "cop". They were complete assoles. Esp the ringleader. He grabbed me as I walked by and said " hey honey...how much for a BJ" laughing with the other guys. (this happens in South FL a LOT so its no indication of a cop either). I smacked his hand off my arm and said that if he was so fucking desperate that he had to pay a woman to touch his disgusting fat self I felt sorry for him..but that he picked the wrong place and REALLY the wrong girl. Told him to go to Walgreens, get a bottle of baby oil and go fuck HIMSELF.
(it had already been a long night and he was the asshole that broke this strippers back!)
Waitress came over to me a while later rolling her eyes. She said...dont be mad...I'm only quoting them and even telling you because they tipped me so I want them to see me talking to you. They said "get the blonde with the big tittys to come back over". I smiled at her..said I was glad she got at least some money off them and told her if she wanted to say anything back she could tell them that if they wanted my attention they could get off their fat greasy asses and wander across the room and tell me themselves. God knows they could use the excersize. She very happily went back and quoted me. (she knew they were assholes and was happy to be able to tell them off without it being HER saying it...so she didnt get in trouble. Dancers have more leeway for this stuff and the owner of the club loves me so I did/said whatever the fuck I wanted! lol)
Fat slob finally waddles over and says he wants a dance. I tell him..fine. Money up front, he sits on his hands and the second he does or says something out of line I leave,no refunds.
Did the dance,he behaved and I left.
Went in the next day and the manager,GM,and all ran up to me. They knew those guys had been annoying me the night before and wanted to know exactly what I said to them. I told them and...I swear to God..they HUGGED me!lol Apparently they were undercover trying to catch girls doing shit they shouldnt be and even tried to follow a cpl girls home. But since I was SO adamant and told them off in no uncertain terms that NOTHING would happen..even when they offered more money...the club got high reviews or whatever for being so clean!
Being a mega bitch with a low tolerance level for assholes pays off sometimes!!!LOLOLOL!!

Re: If you ask a cop is he/she.. is do they have to admit it?
Warning sign: if they inquire about drugs immediately. Sometimes the cops aren't even vice, or if they are vice, they are looking for an obvious charge to pin on the dancer and club. If they start asking you if they can get some drugs, if you know where they can get some drugs, be very wary, especially if they look really straight laced. I danced for an undercover and that's how he tried to get me.

Re: If you ask a cop is he/she.. is do they have to admit it?
Listen to your instinct!
Please take this advice:
The one custys who wants to break the law the most is probably the snitch. If they insist and insist and insist and try to offer you more money...they're probably undercover.
I've had to deal with a few of these jerks and one was even a woman!
It's entrapment but no they do not need to tell you they are a cop even if you ask. :P

Re: If you ask a cop is he/she.. is do they have to admit it?
I know a pretty sure fire way to tell that only works in Fla. PM me and if I know you I'll share but I'm not posting it here!!!
