I quit drinking on the job!
I've been dancing for 4 and a half years and apart from during the initial excitement of starting stripping I've always relied on alcohol to work. I'm quite shy with low self esteem and thought it would help me to always be at least tipsy. However last weekend I made the decision to try and work sober. This was mainly because my boyfriend who is also a manager had just split up with me and broken my heart and I didn't want to get drunk and make an ass of myself. Anyway, immediately I felt more confident than I have in ages, (although I think part of that was due to being blessed with a good hair day and feeling slimmer than usual) and did alot more dances, and managed to work alone whereas before I would always hide behind another dancer. So I've done three sober weekend shifts now and the difference is unbelievable. I feel better, I look better, I have more motivation and I'm making more money than I have for years. I even managed a three hour VIP last night totally sober :) the reason I'm posting this is not to blow my own trumpet but maybe to inspire other dancers who have got stuck in a cycle of needing alcohol to work but actually not benefitting from it. I know some girls can work drunk but I'm not one of them. I'm so glad I finally realized and was able to make this change. It's also a nice little fuck you to my ex who can see how well I'm doing now :)

Congrats, in a major way!! I hope one day to do the same!
Re: I quit drinking on the job!
good job! think of it this way... if you work out 2x a week, plus don't drink at work.... that's something like 1 lb a week you lose, easily! this is based on burning 300 calories in a work out, and then working 5 days a week and having 4 drinks a shift.
the best revenge is looking and feeling your best. sucks for him he lost out, but wow, talk about a good change for you! any top earners i've ever known didn't drink at all.
