On the pink side one always hears how the strippers hate having TVs in the bar as it distracts from their fabulous show.
Now all I hear is hurry football season so the PLs will come into the bar to watch the games on TV./:O

B.S. implies a lie of some sort. Could just be a realization that the business is having to change/adapt to the economy.
Dancers repeatedly explain a kind of balancing act that comes down to this:
On the one hand of course they want customers in the club because without customers there is no opportunity to sell.
On the other if those customers are going to pay nothing then they are better off not having them. There is no benefit in it for them to show their bodies for free, or simply to benefit the club.
But okay, so business is pretty bad. Time to try some new strategies. Could be the game watcher ends up being a bad idea, but it could be if business is as slow as it is, many are willing to adjust the balance they previously made in favor of increased opportunities to sell dances to a group of men who previously stayed home to watch the game.
While there are exceptions, it seems attendance is down at most clubs. The first step is to get customers to come to the club. And even though dances may be a hard sell while the game is in progress, they'll have a captive audience during halftime and postgame.
I've been to clubs without any TVs during a big sports night. Without fail, the clubs are always dead with bored dancers just sitting around waiting for anyone to come in.
Strippers want the drunk guys who come in after the game. ;D
At top end clubs, we want the athletes. }:D
My sources tell me this has been the situation for her 13 years dancing. August is slow and when football starts it picks up.
I will tip any dancer; some more than others. What I don't like is during the turning point of the game they expect me to stop watching and give them a dollar; if it is the first dollar of her set I tip her and explain I have to watch this play. If she is in the relentless dollar parade I tell her after the next play some tell me to go to a regular bar and watch the game; an owner or manager NEVER tells me that.
Another thing I don’t like is when I’m sitting with a dancer buying her drinks and tipping her for her time every other dancer will stop by to get a tip knowing it will only cost them two seconds of their time. Dancers really don’t like PLs that know the hustle and will do what they can to make our club experience uncomfortable. I found if I don’t tip or even look at the dancers I can watch the game and will not have a problem. I do tip the beer lady well and often. This only happens when the bar has a pay for view event and I pay extra to enter and for beer.
Point of order; the bars I frequent are bikini and I must sit at the bar as there are no tables.
You should go to a nice upscale club, sit back in the overstuffed seats and get you a little neon tent sign to put on the table that says
"Watching Game, Come Back Later"
:DYou'll probably accumulate a little crowd of dancers to watch the game with and ask you annoyingly simple questions about football during the commercials, too.
Earl, you don't paint a very pleasant picture of your SC experience. Maybe a regular sports bar is really a better option?
I watched half of the 2004 world series at a strip club explaining baseball to a really hot Brazilian stripper who had no idea what the sport was but thought Johnny "Caveman" Damon was cute. It was the only time that I have ever cared about there being TV's in a strip club...
Welcome to understanding human interactions in a nutshell... everyone is mostly in it for themselves. You want to watch the game. She wants money regardless of where you are in the game. The club owner doesn't care as long as you are buying drinks. Everyone is sure their own PoV is uniquely special as compared with the others. Humans dynamics are amazingly simple in this regard.
When I wanna watch a game, I go to a sports bar.
When I wanna see naked ladies, I go to a stripclub.
Two separate activities, two separate establishments.
Geez.....that was easy.
There is not always a game on that I care about and most of the time it is commercials and replays so I don't stare at the TV 100% of the time.
I did not tell the owner to spend thousands on wide screen HDTVs and premium cable. True sports bars always have some loud mouth Yankee fan that won't shut up. Most of those guys are latent homosexuals BTW.
Why blame the PL if the owner entices him in with 15 HDTVs showing every game?
why would u go to a strip club to watch the game and pay double for beers and shots? just go to a regular bar and stop in after
This bar is within walking distance and they have many shot and beer specials. Most dancers are not a problem it is just a few that can't stand a PL looking at a TV. The pool players get a pass as they are not at the bar.
Remember the topic; dancers love it when football starts because it brings in the PLs to watch the game. So why is every one telling me to stay; do you want the club to be August all of the time?
Point of order I haven't been in a club for several months; there is not enough Earl to go around.
i would much so prefer to have tv's in the bar. that way, i can keep tabs on the game and have a nice conversation starter when the sports guys make their way in.
if a guy isn't into sports, he's not gonna be distracted by the tv's.
I hate the TVs when all the customers are staring slack jawed at the screen and only at the screen because management still makes me work the stage and expects me to ask them for dances. It's unfair to both me and the customer. When customers come in for the sports game but stay for the titties, that's when I love the TVs.
It is situational hate, not bullshit.
If you go to restaurant with table service, and give little or no money to the waitstaff, they will think you are a fuckwad.
If you go to a bar with strippers, and give little or no money to the strippers, they will think you are a fuckwad.
Why do people understand the former but not the latter? Even though the waitstaff is paid a couple bucks an hour by the restaurant (rather than having to pay to be there), and is not expected to just grin and bear it when people say psychotically nasty shit to them.
My local SC offers free Chicken Wings during Monday Night Football and pitchers of beer is also half priced. I still tip all the dancers who go up on stage even if I don't buy any dances. :)
