I would never EVER work in a $10 club ever, ever again! Seriously! I can't handle it! My dances are good enough that they are worth AT LEAST $20. I won't accept anything less anymore. I know what it's like to make more, and I just cannot go back!
Anyways--there is one girl at my club, who everybody hates, who discounts her dances and VIPs, doing stuff like a VIP half hour for $400 instead of $600, $30 instead of $40 for a single dance. She doesn't even do it to get dances to make money, because at my club, they take $20 out of every dance (more if you tip big, which she does), so if she does a VIP for $400, instead of $600, she's making $100 bucks. She does this shit SOLEY to have "the most dances on the board" so other girls will think that she's some kind of superstar stripper, or that she's super rich or great looking or wealthy or something. It's this unneccessary thing and it gets all the customers thinking that we ALL are willing to negoitate. Not so much!
The only 'negoiating' I will do, in terms of price, is to discount ONE dance to $20, IF they buy more than 3 dances, on someone's birthday. That's it. Occassionally, I will say "It's $40 per song BUT if you don't like the dance, give me $20", but I know they will like the dance and of all the times I've used that line, I've only ever had one asshole give me $20 (and he liked the dance, he was just a dick). I don't even like doing the 2 for 1s my club occassionally offers. I generally won't do them unless it's super slow OR if the guy seems like the 2 for 1 would be a good stepping stone into a series of dances. But if a guy looks like that's the ONLY dance he will do or if he's specifically waiting for a 2 for 1, urgh. Only when it's super slow, lol. Oftentimes, if a guy says he's waiting for a 2 for 1, I tell him that it's stupid, and that one 2 for 1 is the equivilent to one song, they just cut the two songs shorter to fit the time of one normal song. If he really does plan on getting a dance, after hearing this, he'll generally give up on waiting and just get one.
But I will never EVER discount a VIP. EVER. Oftentimes, I tell customers it's $700 and then let them "negotiate" me "down" to $600 (normal price). I always let them know that a tip of at least 25% is absolutely standard, and I always get them to pay up front. If a guy wants to try to discount VIPs or dances, I tell them that, out of the $40/song or $700/half hour, that I get to keep half and if I cut the price at all, I won't make any money because of house fees, or, even worse, actually half to pay out of pocket for the dance itself if they don't pay. Usually, that makes them shut up about things and lets them realize that my "wiggle room" for discounts is actually pretty thin.
