Re: Instead of my real name...
Haha, I don't ever tell anyone my real name either. My real name actually does seem like a stripper name kinda, so I don't even bother sharing that with most people I meet at the club.
Even regular people, and close friends don't want to have to worry about saying my real name, they call me by my stage name! Lol! I've also got my stage name listed on my checking account so PP guys can write me checks and just pay to the order of my stage name.
Re: Instead of my real name...
^^ I use Catherine for everything from cab drivers to pizza delivery to customers.
I always just give out my real name on a need to know basis.

haaaaa awesome :P
I just say "omg I am a terrible liar, that is my real name. I would forget a fake one!" But, then again, I use the white bread names. Also, I go for the bimbo persona whilst dancing.

Re: Instead of my real name...
It seems like lately ALL my customers are demanding to know my real name and not even leading up to it, just asking me as soon as I sit down.
It really annoys me because not only is it not any of their business but I like going by my stage name more than my real name... I was pissed to have to change my stage name when I first got to my club (another girl had it) but now I am really into it. It's the name of a character I created in one of my plays who would have been a better stripper than me, so it inspires me to be more like her... work harder and be more confident, sensual and sexy.
But I have just been telling guys my real name lately when they ask because I am just sick of dealing with it and want to just move on in the conversation to doing dances. No matter what cute line I come up with they just will not let it go, and sitting there avoiding telling them just seems like a waste of time. I'm not really worried about it from a safety perspective because I go by my middle name and of course don't tell any of them that, so they would have a hell of a time tracking me down. But the principle of it annoys me, and I don't like having what helps me get out of myself and into my job destroyed because some asshole who hasn't even bought a dance yet thinks he's somehow owed and entitled to knowing my personal information.
Re: Instead of my real name...
Audrey- Yeah I think regardless of everything we just discussed I'm not going to beat around the bush either and I'll just say the fake one straight up. I'm realizing it's part of the fantasy, part of selling dances is to get them thinking you might really like them. If you so much as balk even a little bit on telling them- they know you're a faker. They can see you're all about the money and don't really care for them.
So in the interest of moving things smoothly along....it's best to just make with the name and then run your game.

I do this too, its easier, I can get away with being a bit ditzy coz Im quite hyperactive and giddy, so it all works together. And if they still push it ill just say ''Tell ya what, just call me Sparkles, will that do ya?'' and they usually shut up about it!
