Klassy Cat has amateur night occasionally, normally sponsored by 94.1 The Zone. In fact they have one TOMORROW (Saturday, Sept 26). I was there 2 weeks ago because it was advertised wrong, so I stayed and scoped the place out. It's kinda small inside but I liked it. The stage is along the wall with mirrors and 2 poles, one spins. Low ceiling, all the girls would run their hands along it, I assume for balance.
There are girls of all shapes and sizes there. One girl's pretty much an acrobat, doing cartwheels, flips, and some pretty bad ass pole work.
I'd like to check out Rick's one of these days. I was going to check out Mirage but rumor has it that place has closed down? There's also a newer place that opened up called Foxxy's or something.
I think I might go check out Rick's today...I'm just such a puss when it comes to going to a new club!
And I called KC and asked about hiring but he gave me the "only Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays at 8pm" schpiel, you would think he would have mentioned amateur night but oh well. I'm not looking to dance here regularly, I just took the weekend off from the club I work at in Syr and decided to try a diff club for a change :) I have heard good things about Rick's from a couple girls though, so hopefully their right. Although I will probably puss out and stay in Syracuse. LOL
as a former upstate NY dancer, I can pretty much assure you that there aren't any significant opportunities to earn more money at any club within a 2 hour drive of Syracuse as compared to what you can earn staying in Syracuse ( and save the gas money / tolls !). In other words, every club within a 100 mile circle of Syracuse pretty much sucks just as much as the Syracuse clubs do !
There are slightly better opportunities in Buffalo ... but that's a 200 mile 'hike' from Syracuse which basically requires an overnight stay. If you're going to travel that far, and stay overnight, you might as well drive down to NYC where the opportunities are significantly better ( which is what I used to do).
