Daily Schedules/Time Management
I don't want to say I have bad time management because that would be up selling myself. I am always rushing to get to work. I like to get there before 7 for a lower house fee but rarely make it :-[! I can go to work anytime I want without the trapped feeling of a schedule. The flip side is I'm not disciplined and work about 2 days instead of 4-5 days p/wk (that's what I'd like to work because dancing is my only income). I don't have a certain time I get up in the morning so I'm a mess. I don't have set days that I work and need to decide asap. Oh yeah, I can't dance that well. Since I work nights I have no time to practice pole stuff at work. I know you don't need to know it to make $ but it's nice if you do.
I'm curious to know if anyone is on a schedule and if so what is it?
Any tips?
Re: Daily Schedules/Time Management
yep... im on a schedule. I work mon-thurs then come in on the weekend if i feel like it. I am good at going to work... being on time for work is a little trickier.
Do you have a buddy at work who you can car pool with? I am much better at being on time when my time management affects someone else. If you have a buddy , you guys can pressure eachother to showing up to work on time.

Athena: That is a great idea but I don't have any buddies at my club.
Re: Daily Schedules/Time Management
Back in the day I was a PA, I think this helps me ALOT. What do you 'have' to do during the day, for example I have to walk my dogs twice each day. and what time would you have to leave home to get to the club for 7? and how long does it take you to get ready?.......................see where I'm going with this? ;-)
Re: Daily Schedules/Time Management
I used to have a schedule... now I don't really.
I mostly just try and get up early and get to work on days I need to make money!
Re: Daily Schedules/Time Management
Use your intuition.
Think about it for a few minutes then forget about work. It will pop into your head what days you need to work this week aside from scheduled days. (Easier if you don't have a schedule.)
What helps me get in early when I feel I need to is decide what time I want to get there.
7 pm.
How many hours do I need to:
Take a shower etc. ?
Get coffee. ?
Gas. ?
hair/make up ?
drive time ?
run an errand ?
smoke a bowl ? (for those who do)
We'll say two hours.
Set an alarm for 5pm. Drop everything and start getting ready to hit the club. If I show up a little late it's better than showing up too late. If you show up earlier no harm either.
When I'm tired of getting home at 3am I go in a little earlier to leave at around 11 or midnight. Sometimes I need to push myself.

Re: Daily Schedules/Time Management
i really don't see pot any differently than prescribed xanax except it doesn't have as many negative side effects for me. oh and its not technically legal in my state (or country) at the moment. but at this point i only smoke at the end of the night when i'm winding down from work. the only thing it hurts is my love handles ;)
Re: Daily Schedules/Time Management
I don't have to have a schedule but I set one for myself, its based on when I have found are my best days $ wise, who I like working with staff wise, and who tends to come in customer wise. I prefer to work these days so I don't really have a problem keeping my schedule.
As for not missing days... I have the opposite problem, I can't take days off even if I have an amazing night. I need the money and that keeps me going into work.
As for getting there on time... I suck on getting there early but I always get there by 9 because that's when we get charged. Once again the money just motivates me. I also give myself 2x as long to do anything before work as I think I need, including getting ready.
