Does anyone who work in a club that charges you for every dance you make, do you lie
about the number of dances you do to be able to keep more of your money? I find myself doing that often, but not a whole lot, and I feel bad, and wondering if any other girls do it. At my club, a dance is $25 and we get to keep 20 and give the club 5, and a dance track lady asks how many we did, and she is supposedly keeping track but she always misses about 2 or more dances (per a few dances), and I lie about it. I feel like I'm cheating....What are your thoughts?

Re: Does anyone who work in a club that charges you for every dance you make, do you
I don't or haven't ever worked in a club that charges for every dance. It sounds like it kind of sucks because you have to lie sometimes to keep some of your $$. If you do a lot of dances that $5 adds up quick.

Re: Does anyone who work in a club that charges you for every dance you make, do you
I have. My main clubs did that. Sometimes I lied. Sometimes I or they screwed up. But they knew that.... and they knew they were making their fair share off of me.
They pretty much expect a certain percentage of lies. I more-than-likely lied a lot less than most. I never was a very good liar. The one thing I did too much of was drink. Minus that, I would've been a pretty damn decent dancer at one time.

Re: Does anyone who work in a club that charges you for every dance you make, do you
I remember when the clubs first started taking part of our dance money, and girls were always complaining about being over-marked. I'm sure some of them were not being honest. I never lied, because I knew that if I ever got caught, my credibility would be shot forever.
Really, if you feel bad about it, then you shouldn't do it. Is it worth feeling like crap to make an extra $50 a night?

Re: Does anyone who work in a club that charges you for every dance you make, do you
every club i work at takes a percentage and a floor fee, in my current club its very low at 25%, most of them work with tokens where you swap all your money and then you get paid at the end of the night when you cash them in, the most ive ever paid is 40% and the club then started doing half price dances on student night, i ended up doing vips, charging guys twice when i cou;d get away with it and not declaring it(only the pig customers).
99% of the time the club counts too many dances if you have a marker so i always argue it but thats shitty - if your already charging 40% and a floor fee on arrival im not parting with a penny more!

They do that at my club too, but they have counters who rarely miss anything! But, IF they do, I am not going to tell them!! I have only had it happen once, and it was early in the night, before hardly anyone was in yet.

Damn right. Management don't give a shit about us so it's every stripper for herself!
In the club's I've worked in there are so many random little fees that all add up- the club make a bloody killing so I'm going to get away with whatever I can.

Re: Does anyone who work in a club that charges you for every dance you make, do you
i dont actively lie but sometimes if they dont catch one i wont tell them if its super slow. but i do tell them sometimes and it helps my credibility.

Re: Does anyone who work in a club that charges you for every dance you make, do you
I'm pretty sure that the lady who keeps track of the dances knows too but she expects us to lie a little bit, in fact once she let me go on purpose without paying $15 . I always see less tickers under my name than the dances I've actually done too. I think they do this on purpose sometimes.

Re: Does anyone who work in a club that charges you for every dance you make, do you
I never really lied even though I could've I did 9 dances once and was marked for 2!! CLUB GOT 10 DOLLARS OUT OF EVERY 25 DOLLAR DANCE...>:(

Re: Does anyone who work in a club that charges you for every dance you make, do you
Yea, also, the people collecting the money can be shady... as in, not marking dances and sticking the $5 in their pockets. So sometimes they can be busy managing that....

Re: Does anyone who work in a club that charges you for every dance you make, do you
My club takes $10 from each lapdance. I've lied a couple times, and I always feel bad about it. I don't want to get in trouble and possibly lose my job over a measly $10. I make enough money, lying isn't worth it.
Also, I like having all my dances written down. I want the club to see that I'm a top money maker!

Re: Does anyone who work in a club that charges you for every dance you make, do you
Are all the clubs in your area charging for each dance?
-
Re: Does anyone who work in a club that charges you for every dance you make, do you
I've worked at Deja Vu and dances used to be $12 and you give the house $2. We would just charge $20 per dance.
They have chart and tally up all the dancers. So basically if you don't tip the 'couch counter' you end up having more dances than you did.
I hear clubs in L.A. take half of $40!
I'll never work at a club again that charges per dance. That's bullshit.

Re: Does anyone who work in a club that charges you for every dance you make, do you
I say, if you know you can get away with it, LIE! Fuck the club. The way they treat us is ILLEGAL anyway! They illegally fuck us over everyday, the least we can do is return the favor in a tiny way whenever we get the chance.

^5. My sentiments exactly.

Re: Does anyone who work in a club that charges you for every dance you make, do you
All the clubs I have worked in do, but the bouncers are on that shit so you can't really lie. They mark us for everthing and so if a customer refuses to pay for one you still have to pay fees... yeah it sucks.
-
Re: Does anyone who work in a club that charges you for every dance you make, do you
I never really keep track of how many dances I do. My club doesn't take money from each individual dance so keeping track is pretty irrelevant.
I hate working at clubs that do take a cut, you end up paying out so much, way more than a normal flat fee.
-
Re: Does anyone who work in a club that charges you for every dance you make, do you
every chance I get. If they have no problem ripping me off for dances I've done when they do nothing to help me sell them, I have no problem keeping as much of my money from them as I can. Fuck them.
-
Re: Does anyone who work in a club that charges you for every dance you make, do you
I've always maked the most money at clubs that charge per dance... so I've always worked at them...
Normally... there's a dance tracker that walks around and marks dances... to me... if they miss one... that's not my fault.
Although, I will always correct it if they've over-marked me.

Re: Does anyone who work in a club that charges you for every dance you make, do you
well we have to tip the bar after every dance, but sometimes the bartender is busy or new bartenders often forget so i will stand at the bar waiting for them but if they seem to have forgotten about it and i know the owner isnt watching the cameras then i will casually walk away and pretend that nothing was going on. this has only happened to me between 4-6 times in the 8 months i have worked in this club but its happened on dead days where the extra fifteen bucks or ten they take from topless dances really helps me out. i dont try to rip them off on tips but if the bartender is to dumb to keep track of the dances and when th dancers come out of dances in order to get their tip outs, then its the club/bartenders fault.

Re: Does anyone who work in a club that charges you for every dance you make, do you
i think now is the best time to work at a club where they take a commsion if you dont make money they dont make money, its in their interest to attract customers who buy dances. The only clubs i know that charge a set floor fee charge $170+ they pack on as many girls as they possibly can girls to get more money, then the girls have to make back that money so its all dirty dancing. owners who charge like that are usualy very greedy so its fines gallore, for coming in late, coming in without hair and makeup done, one club(the rocket club birmingham!) even charged $250 for dacers being caught chewing chewing gum because the owner said if it got on the carpets it would ruin them - no fine for the customers chewing gum though! i would never hand over lump sums of money to work somewhere once they have your money there is no incentive for them to attract good customers they are already in profit!
