What's the best club layout?
Just trying to get some dancers opinions about club layouts they like.
If you worked somewhere and that club had something you really liked, or really thought benefited the club or you as an entertainer, please take a minute to share. Perhaps it was the backstage changing area, the VIP rooms, the odd shaped dance stage with four poles, or.. whatever..
Thanks ;D
Re: What's the best club layout?
I've only been in the place I work at, but aside from being fairly small inside I really like the layout. The stage is "F" shaped, with the top of the "F" leading into the dressing room. It runs along the wall, which is covered in ceiling-to-stage length mirrors. At the top corner of the "F" is a stationary pole, and at the middle part is a spinning pole. The middle part of the "F" allows the customers to sit on either side, or stand at the edge and get a little standing personal dance.
The stage itself has 2 parts- the walk way and the table, which is elevated from the walkway. Must be careful to not kick over drinks, but generally the customers are careful about where they place them. The ceiling is rather low, so the girls will run their hands along it for balance.. This also inhibits some of the more extreme poledance moves.
The bar runs lengthwise, parallel to the upright part of the F, so it's more like "F l" and south of all that is the pool table, bathrooms, and private dance area. There is no champaigne/VIP room, and the kitchen is pretty small and run down.
So, things I like: The stage, the openness of the private dance room (this is hit or miss with the other girls), the trippy mirror effects.
Things I don't like: It's really small inside and so everything is bunched together... trying to navigate around a bunch of drunk guys and chairs thrown all around can be difficult in these shoes.
In the middle: Don't like having to share the bathroom with customers, but there aren't really that many female customers and the ones we do come in generally avoid it because there are no locks on the flimsy wooden stall doors. While not having a lock causes a little discomfort, it's nice to know that it's really hard for people to get away with doing illegal activities here (same goes with the open private dance room).
