Feeling Like a Newbie All Over Again!
...but I guess, in a sense, I am!
I've been working in Vegas for quite a while, but I'm under 21, so I've only worked at fully-nude clubs with no alcohol. I went on a hiatus about 2 months ago, when I fell off a pole and hurt my hip. I decided that I'd just take some time off until I turned 21, then get going again. I was getting REALLY sick of how I was being treated in the non-alcohol clubs.
So! For those of you ladies who have worked in a 21+ club in Vegas ... help? I'm at a TOTAL loss, and I've done some searching on here but not found any pertinent recent information. I'll be 21 in JUST over a month now - and I'm DYING to get back to dancing.
I'm looking for info on what's different, mainly. And pole tricks a big part of stage shows? How do the bars work? What do the dancers wear? Are there rules about the G-strings and how much they cover? How do auditions work? How to shifts work at the club? My roomie and I would LOVE some information. Thanks everyone! :D
Re: Feeling Like a Newbie All Over Again!
Wow, I didn't know it was so different! Pole tricks are mostly irrelevant. The bars just work like, well, bars? Can you elaborate?
Auditions for me were just wear your outfit, walk down a hall and they assign you a shift. Girls mainly wear short dresses in my experience, but some girls do wear bikinis and two pieces. As far as bottoms I think they have to be thongs, not g-strings. Basically nothing that's just a thread up your butt.
Re: Feeling Like a Newbie All Over Again!
It's crazy different. AS far as how the bar works, I guess ... like in my old 18+ club, we didn't pay for our own drinks, but they weren't alcohol. If you are needing a stiff one during a slow night, do you pay for drinks?
Auditions are also VERY different. At every 18+ club I've worked, you actually get onstage, and perform a 3-song or 2-song set. Tips and all. Kind of like an amateur night.
Pole work is HUGE in the under 21 clubs here. Big time.
I was warned by a few people that in the topless clubs, customers will try to pay girls to flash their pussies. Apparently, it's really looked down on by the girls in a 21 club ... like, it's almost viewed as an extra. To someone like me who's worked full-nude, that's NOTHING. Opinions on this, or other things like that I may run into?
Re: Feeling Like a Newbie All Over Again!
^^That would indeed be considered an extra. Customers buy you drinks, but if a customer isn't buying you one, you don't get free ones. I know sometimes on a slow afternoon, the managers at SR would buy us all a round.
