Question about live fetish work, escorting, and pro domme
I'm looking into offering real-time sessions in NC and/or VA and I'm trying to figure it all out.
I've never done this before, although I have experience in other areas of adult - currently I do full time indie phone domination/fetish cam.
The areas I've been considering working in are live fetish work (foot fetish, nylon fetish, roleplays, crossdressing, things like that), pro domination (although I don't have an incall or dungeon at the moment), and escorting. Here's the tough part: Of course I want to work with minimal complications in terms of establishing a client base, getting my desired rates and issues with law enforcement. I've read the statutes in my area, am doing my research and am trying to be cautious.
Is there actually a market in real-time for live fetish work that isn't expecting vanilla sex? Would the rates be fairly similar to local rates for escorting and pro-domme work or would they be much lower? I know it's harder to go up than down - don't want to miss out. Does anyone have suggestions as to how (and possibly where) one would discreetly and legally advertise a service like this?
As an escort in the southeastern/mid-Atlantic US, is it possible to advertise a specialty in fetish without attracting the wrong kind of attention or implying the wrong things?
On pro domme sites I've seen some fairly frank descriptions of services and interests. From the way I'm reading the statutes in my area, it looks like because of the sodomy laws still on the books it would be possible to prosecute strap-on play as prostitution. For those of you who know the area and/or who have practiced as pro dommes, am I worrying too much or is this a big concern?
Thanks!

You might want to check out . Check out the BDSM/fetish section in your area. I'm sure there is a market for it. You can find the answers to your question just doing simple research on that site. Also look at other established pro dommes in the area and see what services they offer so you can kinda get an idea of what is legal and what's not.

I don't understand this questions. You can be direct.. what is it you don't want to attract? It's all about your pictures and texts. With the right presentation you can put off undesirables and attract the client YOU want.

I'm also in the NC area, When I have time I'll look more into this but this is something you can research on google as far as nc/va laws.
Thanks!

Thanks for the pointers. I did check the local directories and look into the laws and from what I saw it looks like the laws in VA are more permissive (outcall sexual contact for $ isn't criminalized, just intercourse and oral/anal under sodomy laws) but NC definitely has a more active fetish scene which makes me think the market might be stronger and the environment might be more friendly regardless of what's on the books. Guess the only way to know is to test it out.

Sorry for being vague. I was worried that advertising specialties in fetish and fantasy would make me a bigger target for law enforcement than taking the route of strictly advertising as a discreet escort/companion. I'd rather do the fetish work as that's where my strengths lie, but not if it means more attention from investigators. Do you think it would make a difference?
Thanks for your help, reading your posts on here has been a great resource.
Re: Question about live fetish work, escorting, and pro domme
I think fetish work is LESS scrutinized by law enforcement. Look at all the blatant dungeons there are and those sometimes have a receptionist sitting at the front door!
Not ONE Pro-Domme I know has had or will ever have sex with a client. Maybe some do but on the whole I think LE knows that sex is very rare in this environment.
If you had the means, maybe you could train at a dungeon? I know women who have not and they do great, but maybe it would give you a resume if you will, training in techniques you may not be familiar with, and a customer following.
