Ekkk! It looks pretty dark. Normally I would say to take arnica and use arnica gel on it... which will help. Then use a green concealer followed by your normal color... but that is one heck of a bruise! Maybe go talk to the doctor and see if they have any suggestions.
The other option is just to not even try to cover it and let it be a conversation piece. You know how customers are... they love to point out everything - even the obvious. At least it will get you talking though, you can share your story of how you got it - then give the customer a dance,
Hahaha. I feel your pain. Check mine out. I covered that fucker last night. I used this product:

Femme Couture Mineral Foundation. I used the loose stuff, and it covered it up flawlessly and lasted all night.
Hope you had as much fun getting your bruise as I did mine.;)
Holy JESUS that looks like it hurts!
Although it's gonna be nice and rainbowy while it heals. Take pics of the nice pretty greens and yellows that you get going on!
Seriously though, that sucks, and I'm glad that you didn't get any more hurt than that while snowboarding.
Try taking some slow-release Iron pills (specifically Ferrous Sulfate). A friend of mine had an iron deficiency and took medication that made her blood thin out, making it very easy to bruise her, even just by touching her. She started taking iron and the bruises healed right up.
Bruises are broken blood vessels under the skin, right? I usually find massaging the bugger helps it fade faster....damn that thing looks painful though!!
I second the green concealer...it will help cancel out the red. Then just layer foundation/cover up on it, dust talc powder in between layers to help set it so it stays...
Good luck!
Yowza! I have no great advice but I hope that heals for you soon :)
Hahahahaha thanks guys! The funny thing is, it hardly hurts at all. I landed really hard right on a bone so it caused a lot of internal damage, but I can barely feel it to the touch.
I like the idea of leaving it uncovered as a conversation starter, I think I'll do that at least once to see how it goes. But definitely only while it's fresh, old rainbowy bruises are just ugly.
Massaging it is a good idea and whenever I get a nasty bruise I massage it with a bristle hairbrush, but this one is so huge and dark that it didn't help much.
I actually just found some greasepaint that a friend who's a MUA gave me and it covered it right up, so I think I'll be able to hide it.
Mediocrity, how did you get that bruise? I'm so curious!
EPIC ASS-BRUISE IS EPIC.
Holy hell. Hahah.
LOL NO wonder there is that whole stereotype with strippers being beat by bfs/husbands. I mean anyone else that had those bruises they'd be covered by the clothes at a regular office job. Not us though, ours are left on display.
Haha, right? I worked last night ( got called in by my manager for a customer ) and it was endless questions.
Lesson learned: let the drunk boy fall of the bed and hit the deck. He fell anyway, even after grabbing me, broke his thumb, and still laughed about it and came back up so we could continue.
Lola, what's your story?
^^^ LOL That's fabulous! Great lesson!
Well like I said, I fell on a snowboard. And yelled "OW! MY ASS!!!" so loud that people could hear it at the top of the mountain and were hooping and hollering at me on their way down. It was pretty funny. ;D
wow! Thats a pretty bruise. i had a very similar one once after falling down a flight of stairs. Was very scary cause the fall shocked my spine and I couldn't move my legs at first. I immediately started bawling thinking I was paralyzed. The bruise was pure black and lasted weeks! I used stage makeup. It stays on much better. I don't know the brand but just bought it at a shop that does theatre costumes and makeup.
I really need to take some sort of vitamin cause I bruise stupidly easy as well. I am so covered from sat night that I didn't work last night.
massaging with a bristle hair brush has always helped me heal bruises faster. it seems to break up the blood that is under the skin and get it moving or something. my homeboy taught me this because he used it to get rid of hickeys... this helped me get rid of some nasty bruises from the pole when i first started doing pole tricks.
Hehe yeah, just the other day I passed that same advice on to my little brother because he had his first hickey ever. But this bruise is just too serious for the bristle brush to help much.
1) Coin trick. Use a quarter (have someone help you) to physically move the blood out of the skin. It will still look bruised when you're done, but will be easier to cover with concealer.
I've tried this method, and it's very effective.
2) Stick-on tattoo?
Your bruise impresses me.
Edit: (clip from WikiHow)
"This method is probably the most painful, but has proven VERY effective. First, stretch the skin flat (pulling away from the hickey on two opposite sides). Then, use the edge of a large coin to scrape the skin. Use the coin like the hickey was butter on toast, and spread outward. The only difference is that you must press quite HARD (as hard as you can, but not so that you break the skin, bleed or hurt). What this does is push the excess blood, which has escaped from the capillaries, out of the surface skin. There will be redness from the scraping, but that will go away much faster than a hickey. Anyhow, a scrape is much less conspicuous than a hickey."
^^^ Sounds like the old spoon trick for hickeys.
Just call it a birth mark, if anyone asks tell them your village elders said it meant you were the chosen one.
Treat the bruise with arnica.... both in homeopathic tablet form (you can get them in health-food stores, whole foods, etc.) and with arnica cream or gel. You can follow the directions on the label.
Take baths with plenty of epsom salts.
In the meantime, cover the bruise with Dermablend or Kat Von D's sephora brand tattoo concealer. CoverFX concealer can work very well too. Your cover FX color would be X-Light. Apply the concealer, let it dry a bit and set it with powder.

Hope you feel better.
Why bother getting rid of it too fast?
I think it would look really HOT if you surrounded it with tattoo transfer roses like these....

or these.....

........!!;D
You should tell custies it's the unfortunate consequences of a dressing room spanking competition!
They would eat it up.
'Cindy over here took me over her knee and spanked my naughty butt with a hairbrush!' hahahaha
I also second the chosen one remark.
