Getting into shape usually means loosing fat even for people who are not overweight. Most people who don't diet and exercise constantly carry extra fat. I am pretty tiny, I only weigh 99lbs, however I carry fat around my mid-section. even tho my stomach is flat I'm not happy with the way it looks as I want more visible abs.
So I hired a personal trainer and nutritionist and I am just learning of all this. The most important thing is to cut out sugars as much as u can. Eating fats are better than eating sugars (u know thesedays how everything is 98% fat free? this often means it's full of sugar to make up for lack of taste). Sugar is energy that converts to fat when the energy isn't used and this is the most stubborn type of fat there is when trying to loose it.
If you do cardio 3-4 times per week and some weights as well u will definately notice more tone.
