Escorts - ever think about working in Australia?
since prostitution is legal over there and it seems like a lovely place to visit. also they appear to have flexible working visas so that you could easily stay there for a year.
i don't escort here but i would not be opposed to doing it legally. check out this website http://www.highsociety.com.au/index.html
i think i could get hired for something like that because i dance at the top gentlemen's club in manhattan and i could just tell them i escorted independently.
the girls down there do seem very very beautiful though!

Re: Escorts - ever think about working in Australia?
this is interesting...something i would consider doing...even if it was just for a year or whatever length my visa would be. definitely seems competitive though.

Re: Escorts - ever think about working in Australia?
Some states have different laws to others, check out http://www.scarletalliance.org.au/ for info.
Personally I would recommend being based in Victoria, and of course having your PCA license (to work privately) but doing a regular shift in a parlour (or even in a massage place which is also licensed for full service, and charging extra for FS) each week to build up a regular base.
Then I would tour to the other states, for a few weeks at a time, getting a holiday as well as getting to work. Western Australia and Tasmania are both lacking in private girls, so it can be very lucrative.
I would recomend http://www.funinaustralia.com for info on escorting, as well as a great place to advertise and screen clients. Theres loads of reviews for both private girls and parlours, so you can figure out what other girls offer in each area and prices, as well as get to see what the punters are like, by reading their review on other girls, before accepting bookings with them :)

Re: Escorts - ever think about working in Australia?
Celeste, do you need a license to work at an agency like the one Laurcon posted?
-
Re: Escorts - ever think about working in Australia?
Celeste don't you think it is better to work in Sydney because you do not need a license? I heard that the license although not a crime shows up when someone does a records check on you. Is that true? From what I heard from my SC custies the brothels/agencies in Syd are better..but maybe they just don't know the best ones to go to in Melb?
I also personally would prefer agency work over brothel work just because I'd prefer longer/more expensive appointments over quantity. A few good agencies I have heard of from SC custies are http://www.boardroomescorts.com.au/
http://www.sixstarmodels.net/
A decent brothel in Sydney is http://stiletto-brothel.com.au/sydney/ They also do escorts.
But certainly there are lots of options for legal work in Australia. For escorting, R&T, and dancing. Even dancing seems to be a hell of a lot more money here...although maybe similar compared to NYC lauricon.

Re: Escorts - ever think about working in Australia?
Celeste did you say before you worked in massage? How was the $$? I've been thinking about a shift or two just to mix things up a bit. I wanted to escort, but hubby said no.
-
Re: Escorts - ever think about working in Australia?
To be honest Ive never heard of that agency http://www.highsociety.com.au/index.html nor have any of my escort friends. I would be wary unless I could find out some info both from customers and girls who have used this agency.
When working for an agency or parlour in Vic, you are covered by their PCA, but that do take around half of your earnings.
I would recommend Vic, as with the licencing here its easier to stay within the law. Yes a PCA will show up against your name, but when you leave its easy to get all documents destroyed (a friend did this recently and is now living in the USA)
Also to my knowledge health checks are enforced more stringently (need a doctors cert to work, std checks every month) and I personally wouldnt want to work if there was a chance that myself or another girl had an std.
Heres the state-by-state info, from http://www.scarletalliance.org.au/laws/
* Australian Capital Territory - ACT Prostutition Act 1992.
* New South Wales - Decriminalised. ADVERTISING CHANGES BEING CONSIDERED protests and lobbying underway

Re: Escorts - ever think about working in Australia?
I would think due to the market being saturated with girls there and escorting being legal I would be better off staying here but I dunno. No big deal about girls making 4000 an hour there. There are girls making that here. I have an austrailian client that suggests that I go to austrailia. He says the men over there love black women.. ha! I'll have to look more into it. Damn good idea Laurcon!
...btw.. I'd NEVER work in a brothel.. If it's not the bunny ranch.. no way!

Re: Escorts - ever think about working in Australia?
^there are seriously like no black people in Australia. It is bizarre. I am good friends with a couple from Zimbabwe and they always joke about how everyone knows them since they are the only black people in Sydney. So ya you would probably be a hit!

Wow!I didn't know that! LOL! I'll definetely look into it now.. I'd probably jack up my pph (price per hour) to 500-600hr knowing that there are not many black providers there. ;D;D;D

I see how they could bank there.. wow
My austrailian client, Wes (met him via the agency I once worked for) says it's better there because they make you get tested and everything which is AWESOME! I really wish they at least did that here in the U.S.
He has to be one of the most sexiest man I've ever met... he lived in Nigeria for two years and speaks Igbo (my native language) and broken english.. with that aussie accent? Hands down the most beautiful thing I've ever heard!

Re: Escorts - ever think about working in Australia?
I know some girls who go there for work through-out the year it's something I have been thinking about

Re: Escorts - ever think about working in Australia?

Re: Escorts - ever think about working in Australia?
Interesting. I would be very interested in hearing from ones who have worked there from overseas as well. From what I have heard and seen ( visiting other countries where there have been a lot of Austalians) is that they are very racist.
-
Re: Escorts - ever think about working in Australia?
^LOL kindof but prob not in the way you are thinking. There are a lot of immigrants here. Obviously since the country is very young still. My room mate is from Vancouver (which is known for its massive Asian population) and he could not believe it when he arrived in Sydney. He says there are way more Asians here. There are also a lot of Lebanese in Sydney which has caused some problems in the past and then you have the native population (I live in an area which is heavily aboriginal). People think that my area is dangerous and the aboriginals are trouble makers, but it is seriously not at all. Yes a lot of them are drunks and hanging around not doing much, but they seem to stick to themselves. I've never once had a problem and I am a tiny pale white blonde girl. But taxi drivers sometimes won't take me home because "its too dangerous to drive there" LOL... that is being racist. The US and Canada are extremely politically correct, whereas in Australia people pretty much just say what they are thinking, so a lot of comments that would be considered racist elsewhere are normal here ie.
Please note this is not my own comments...just comments I hear:
"stupid asian drivers"
"dirty Lebs"
"drunk Abos"
The use of the word "wog" is totally acceptable in a social situation (but not in a professional)... a wog would be any greek, italian etc. Even they themselves use the word. It might seem racist, but it is not meant in a negative way, it is simply used to describe someone. ie "you know. The wog guy." The same way you would use the word "black" to describe someone with dark skin.
But if you are Asian, Lebanese, Native American I really don't see you having a problem, because you are American. The Asian and Lebanese that live here that get a hard time are the ones actually from Lebanon or China, etc. They immigrate, cannot or refuse to speak English and do not assimilate. Which is what pisses the aussies off. Especially the Muslim extremists who then openly disrespect Aussie women because its hot and they are walking around wearing next to nothing. I used to live in a Muslim area and I promise you we eventually had to move because I was being sexually harassed up to 10 times a day! I wouldn't even be wearing anything provacotive. I was never racist before I moved here, but now I really have not nice feelings toward Lebanese Muslim Extremists (I have no problem with muslims who practice properly, just the ones who twist the religion to their benefit). It's not because of the way aussies think but the way I have been treated by this group while I lived here.
People of African decent will have no problem though. There is a very small population of African immigrants that is only just starting now, so I haven't heard of many problems. Except some problems with some coming in through the wrong channels (attempting to enter illegally).
And yes Americans don't have the best name here, but I would say it is more the type that falls in the "stupid American" category. You know the red-neck, flag waving, bush loving, cousin marrying American. Not an educated, travelled, modest, friendly American.
Another example is back in Canada it is so politically correct that we can't even celebrate "christmas" anymore. All my school plays were "holiday celebrations". That would outrage most Australians. They still have "christmas concerts" and I really don't see that changing. The whole attitude here is you are welcome in this country, but don't come in here and then expect us to change for you. When we come to your country we will follow your rules and when you come here you follow ours.

If you decide to work at the brothels (only place where prostitution is legal) you DO have to get STD checks done. I looked into working at the Bunny Ranch - was supposed to go but never did. You get there and first thing you do is get your license and STD check... then you're not allowed to work for 2 days while you wait for your STD results.
The only problem with the brothels here is youre not allowed to come and go... you have to go work for 2 weeks at a time and stay in the brothel. I *think* in Australia you show up for your shift (kind of like dancing) and go home when you're done. At least thats what it looked like on Taboo: Prostitution that I watched last night!!!
-
Re: Escorts - ever think about working in Australia?
^Thats right. It is just like dancing. You choose when you want to work, what days, how many shifts. Its not very strict. And I hear, although not sure if it is true that in Sydney it is cash and not on tax. You don't even have to tell them your real name (that's what I have heard, not directly from the venue).

I was hired at the Bunny Ranch 2 years ago and was asked to come out to Carson city and chickened out. The whole thought of getting the sheriff card and giving Dennis Hoff 50% of my money didn't sit too well with me and I'm pretty familiar with the STD testing procedure there.. I was saying I wish they'd do the same for Independent escorts ALL over the country.
I keep thinking about writting Madam Suzette again but .... I don't know. I heard you'd have to fuck Dennis Hoff too... YUCK! I'd be better off in austrailia.

If I knew what you meant I wouldn't have said anything because it would have been pointless. You just assume I'm trying to be a smartass (which I get now) but I really wasn't.

Well this applies to brothels or agencies. I mean telling the company you work for, not the clients. They are all legitimate businesses and so are registered and pay taxes. Girls are contractors and have ABN's which mean's that your real name is linked to their company in one way or another is what I mean. For example where I dance they have my ABN and a copy of my drivers license, they report to the tax department every single day I work and the amount of money I make, so I must pay income tax and GST on everything I earn, except cash tips they don't know about of course. When I researched agencies and brothels I assumed it would be the same. Because everything is legal, the tax department wants their share of the profits. But what I heard through people in the industry, was that they only site your license and ABN and do not keep a record for privacy reasons. Although I assume Victoria would be different because you have to be registered there, so there would be a record of your real name having worked at the brothel.
All this really doesn't apply to you anyways since you are independent, but that's what I was referring to.
