I know when I FIRST started dancing, my muscles were incredibly sore from all of the new moves I was doing; it was nothing crazy b/c my first club was pretty strict but I was just hitting muscles that, despite my gym obsession, I had never targeted before the dancing. Anywho, I remember someone suggested I take Epsom salt baths to relax my muscles and that helped. I know that bruises aren't sore muscles but I wonder if those baths would also help... even if only as a placebo affect! Hmmm.... Can't hurt to try, I s'pose.
