Weekly Fitness Challenge! Who's in?!
:) I think it would be fun to get into shape with you fellow SW ladies! (And men if they so choose, hehe.)
This isn't a weight loss competition, or a competition at all. Just for us all to support each other and encourage one another as we get our stripperfied bodies to perfection asap!
Post your stats (Height; Weight; Goal Weight; Current Exercise Regime; Pants/Dress Size, etc.!)
Just post your new stats and a picture (If you desire) of you once each week. ^^ I'm really excited. For me, personally, I find it easier to stick to a fitness/health plan if I do it along side other people as well. This is pretty much to help those who are the same.
I'm starting Feb. 24th. My new birth control has really packed on the extra 'chunk', although my boobs are now a very large and busty C. Woot woot!
Also I've been a pescetarian for a while, but now I'm going to go 100% veg!
Anyways, I'll go first.
:)

Height: 5'6"
Weight: 155
Measurements: 32F-27.5-41.5, low waist 36 (like where your jeans sit)
Goals: Lose another inch off my waist at both points, get my body down to its' ideal weight (I have a feeling it's around 145-150), increase upper body strength
Exercise plan: Bikram Yoga 4x-6x a week, pushups in the studio before class, buy a pull-up bar!!!!! (Been meaning to do this forever but I never get around to it)

I've already lost 10 pounds in the last 5 weeks or so from Bikram Yoga alone, that shit works wonders! So at this point I'm just working on the finishing touches.

Hey Lola, we are in a similar spot! My low waist is about 36, too. Congrats on losing the 10 and best wishes for more :)

Re: Weekly Fitness Challenge! Who's in?!
I know it's only been a couple days, but how is everyone doin so far? I thought it might help to check in. :) I'm trying to stay on track but already I'm feeling lazy tonight. lol
-
Re: Weekly Fitness Challenge! Who's in?!
Yeah I was lazy today too. But at least my metabolism has improved so that on days off I don't sit around eating...I have very little appetite these days if I haven't exercised. I used to eat like a pig all day on the days I didn't work out.
I can't fucking wait to go back to yoga tomorrow, I really miss it on the days I don't do it!
-
Re: Weekly Fitness Challenge! Who's in?!
I've been doing good, diet-wise
-
Re: Weekly Fitness Challenge! Who's in?!
So far so good. It's been about 2 days for me. I'm still getting a bit lazy in the exercise department but I'll go do some boxing after I get home from school. :)
-
Re: Weekly Fitness Challenge! Who's in?!
I've been slacking a bit because of the drama with my friend-but I haven't been eating as much either. Just so depressed....
On the positive side, I was journaling everything I have been eating and discovered that I eat about 3 servings veggies, 2 fruits, 5 breads, 5 meats, and 2 dairies, and 3 servings fat everyday, amounting to about 1500 calories.
My goal: By Sunday to cut down to 12-1300 calories per day by cutting out the dairy and fat and eating more veggies with calcium in them (like spinach), while sticking with the posted exercise plan.

Re: Weekly Fitness Challenge! Who's in?!
Great thread idea! I'm not sure how many of you already know about this but livestrong.com has this calorie/nutrient tracker with a pie chart that breaks down % of fat/protein/carbs per day called "the daily plate". i've been using it in connection with working out and lost 5lbs in 2 weeks! my next weigh in date is monday march 1st, and i'm shooting for another 5lbs... you ladies should really check it out. it totally helps. if you have a blackberry or iphone it has an app where you can track all your food and exercise on the go and sync it with your online stuff. i swear by this.
Anyway I'm totally checking in with you all!
Height: 5'3
Current weight: 148 (down 5lbs from 153 on Feb 1st)
Measurements: 34A-30-41
Clothing size: 8
Currently doing: lots of exercise that I don't chart, but mostly 500-1000 calories burned on the elliptical 5+ times per week and strictly charting my calories online
Goal weight: 120
Goal size: 3-4
Exercise goal: Incorporate weights for toning!

Re: Weekly Fitness Challenge! Who's in?!
Not trying to gain or lose weight. But dont care if I gain or lose either. I just want more muscle in my legs/arms, and a 6pack and uplifted butt.
5'9"
155lbs.
Currently 10 minutes of cardio, 100 reverse crunches,100 twists, 60 squats with 30lbs., 60 ABC squats.
Am getting Miami ready. Dont wanna lose weight, so I eat anything, except too much salt, which restricts muscle growth.
Also ladies, lookin to lose weight check out ZUMBA classes in your area. An hour of dance burns about 600 calories. Very fun, I love it.

Boxing is the best! Just be sure to wrap your wrists and hands! I cannot stress this enough, and the better you get, the more important it is. I went years hitting the bag and got fairly good at it without any trouble, but when I started getting serious about it down here I started running into minor injuries from the shock.
So I made my own resistance device to make it a lot harder without increasing the shock, I will post pictures later. It makes you so much faster, too! You can also try weighted gloves, they do the same thing, I love mine! I use both in succession.
As for me I am 6'2" and about 170 right now, which is 10 lbs too light, I have not been eating enough food lately with all the goddamned crises going on left and fucking right.
I would love to hit 185 maybe, I have never gotten that high (was 180 tops), but would not want anymore weight than that, I much prefer being sleek and fast to the muscleboy look. Fuck that.
I have real trouble gaining weight unless I work out like crazy and eat like a horse, especially the eating.
I like this thread already, and now it is time to hit the gym lol...

Re: Weekly Fitness Challenge! Who's in?!
^^^
:) I'll definitely wrap my hands and purchase some gloves in the future. I haven't been getting too serious into it (yet) but I get there eventually. [I <3 boxing] Don't wanna take any risks when I do!
Good luck!

Re: Weekly Fitness Challenge! Who's in?!
This is sort of what I am using but I made my own, with three bands instead of two, and I hit the standup bag with it, then go to weighted gloves on a hanging 100 lb. for the rest of the rounds.
http://store.titleboxing.com/power-punch.html
You might want to try this, or the single strand version they have. be warned, though, some of the handles are not meant to be held while punching bags, it's easy to hurt your knuckles unless you wrap them with care and hold your hands a certain way. The handles on this one would have to be cut down it looks like, to hit a bag at all.

Re: Weekly Fitness Challenge! Who's in?!
Just bought brand-new running sneakers: Nike Pegasus. They already feel SOOOO much better than my old shoes!
-
Re: Weekly Fitness Challenge! Who's in?!
^^Awesome! :D I don't have any good running shoes, I need to purchase some new ones.
Also @ Djoser~ I just purchased it online, can't wait to receive it!
'Checked my weight this morning, it's 144.8 lbs. ;D The sides of my stomach are starting to look ever so slightly more firm.
