For BBW strippers and/or girls who have lost alot of weight
I am currently 5'7 and 135 pounds, however not too long ago I was over 240 pounds. I lost my weight by change in lifestyle-exercising 5x a week and proper eating habits. Luckily I am young and was never obese/overweight as a child, I gained my weight in university. Thus my skin bounced back and I have no loose skin/sagging. However because I gained a dramatic amount of weight in a short period of time I have tons of stretch marks. And by that I mean lots!
My stretch marks now look white and faded. However I do get customers asking me if I ever had a child. My tummy is not saggy and does not have any stretch marks itself, but my hips do (OMG like a zebra-but now only white fine lines). It is embarrassing for me because I have not had a child yet.
with all that black light it is very hard to see them, but when "up close and personal" I get some guys that do notice. I tell them that no, I have not had a child but I did lose a lot of weight. That usually gets me a smile from the guy and something along the lines of "congratulations, that's hard work".
Do any of you girls that are BBW find that you get pestered by customers? Are you the only BBW in your club?If so does it effect your earnings (positively and negatively)?
I don't define myself as a BBW anymore. However I do wonder if my previous weight has effected my current earning abilities (perhaps in a positive way). The stretch marks are hardly visable but there are tons of them all over my hips/butt and some around my breasts. Little white lines. I hear there are things that can be done about stretch marks, but I do not know where to start.
I am a top earner in the club I dance at. The house fee is $15 and we keep 100% of our dances. Dances are $10 in my club. I normally take home around 300-400. I wonder if my stretch marks play in to this. I did not dance at this club when I was overweight, I was dancing somewhere else. When I was obese I was dancing at a club where the house fee was $60. Dances were sold at $20 a song and we kept 100% of those. However I was never a top earner there, I was lucky to walk out with $250, and most nights made around $140.
Also dancing as a BBW, I was made fun of a lot by customers. I let it roll off my shoulder and kept at it. Now no one says anything to me and I get asked to dance a lot without really having to hustle. Infact there has been many times where I have been sitting in the dressing room taking a break, when the DJ comes in and says, "theres a guy that wants you to dance for him...over there!".

Re: For BBW strippers and/or girls who have lost alot of weight
I don't know how relevant I can be, considering I dance on stage and do burlesque. I'll give it a shot, though.
When I started out, I was nervous because I was the fat girl, and I think it showed. I have been heckled due to my weight. I've had some girls be really, really incredibly bitchy about it. But I had girls being just as bitchy when I was 130lb. But now, I get people in the audience coming up to me and saying they like how much fun I have on stage and how they wish the other girls would lighten up and smile once in a while.

Re: For BBW strippers and/or girls who have lost alot of weight
It's interesting to hear from someone who's danced as a BBW. I'm over 240#, and the *very* few times I've tried dancing around here, guys walked in, saw me on stage, and left.
Congrats on losing the weight and becoming a top earner. I'll be watching this thread for more responses.
btw-on stretch marks, my completely unscientific research indicates that *very* few of the expensive "remedies" make any difference more significant than doing things that are just generally good for skin, like moisturizing & massage.

Have you sold table/lap dances?
When I was dancing as a BBW there were a few times when I ended up being top earner, but definitely few and far between. Personally I think it is 70% looks and 30% your hustle. My average night though I was only pulling in maybe $140 (keep in mind 60 was going to the house). A few nights where I did stick out I made maybe $400-$600. But in general I was doing "average" to "below average" in terms of selling dances.
Now I am consistently a top earner, have not taken home less then $300 in a long time. but I only work maybe once a week if that, as my club is 1.5 hour drive from me.
although lately I have been thinking about going to a club around here, one where I can bike to work. My local club is still 25 kms from my house, but sure does beat traveling 100 kms (200 there and back) to the one I currently work at. At least with a club that is 25 kms away I can either bike or walk or take public transit.

Eh, not so much. I've honestly only tried three clubs, and I only saw a combined total of 20 customers. One man at one club bought a half hour without talking to me and threw a hissy fit when I wouldn't touch his penis-he turned his head and refused to look at me at all.
At another club, I sold a drink, but that he said he wouldn't buy a dance because I wouldn't have sex with him.
I've earned less than one hundred dollars as a stripper, ever and that was still a loss, because I spent more than that to get started.

What is making you want to strip, then? Is it for financial gain or psychological reinforcement?
I've been in the 240 range and the 125-130 range as a stripper and an escort.
As an escort I raked in a shit load of money when I was heavy. Like, $1,500 a day if I took a few clients. but as a 130lb size 2 I was making that in an hour on average.
As a stripper...I never weighed over 175, and at 175 I had to work the "ethnic" clubs or the "retired stripper had to start working again" clubs.
Adult industry wise men who like bigger girls are in 2 categories. The fetish types (smooshies, feedies, rollies, etc), then the regular types (the guys who wanted to fuck the shit out of curvaceous ass Delta Burke).
Fetish guys are gonna like seeing all kinds of meat shaking around. But the average guy, even a guy who likes bigger girls ... does not want to see that. I learned that lesson the hard embarrassing way.
Bigger girls (size 16/18/20), IMO are not suited for the strip club environment. I know it's politically incorrect, and I am obviously not a "hater" or whatever cuz I have been there and done that.
I speak from experience.
If you are a big girl (16/18/20) and in a club and making the same type of money as the middle level strippers, two things are going on. A) You're exceedingly beautiful and have a great personality and rpesentation and B) you're in certain areas of the country where the majority of women are a little heavier than the LA/NY/MIA population - so of course the strippers are also gonna be a little heavier too.

Re: For BBW strippers and/or girls who have lost alot of weight
Sally Hansen air brush legs covers stretch marks pretty well. My friend used it for that when she was dancing.
The customers might not be noticing your stretch marks. They may just be asking out of curiousity/making conversation.

Re: For BBW strippers and/or girls who have lost alot of weight
Hello,
Let me start by saying, I have worked as a size 16. but I knew what clubs I could work and which I could not.
The smallest I have ever been was a size 10. My height is 5'7. I have an hour glass figure.
Now for me I always wanted to work what I call the gown clubs. Because I thought the money was better there .
But I learned the Dancers pay a high fee to work in the so called high end clubs. I have danced in the south NYC,NJ, PA. I learned the art of the illusion on how hide stretch marks or other flaws from ladies that were already in the industry for awhile.
Here is how I kept my ground being a thicker dancer.
1. Always keep a smile on my face no matter what I hear.
2. Make sure my costumes bring out my best features
3. When I would hear nasty comments I would crack comments back in a playful way.
4. Flexibility and grace became my mantra
5. Long weaves and wigs were very helpful
6.I made sure my make up was flawless
Basically I faked it until I made it. Finally I got back down to my size 10.
Which I stayed for a while. But we all know the twists and turns life can give us
I tried o settle down with someone I thought loved me ad gained the weight back
because I was not dancing anymore.
Now I am ready for my come back and I am not going to stop dancing this time until I am good and damn ready. Right Now I am working on getting back to fighting weight(lol). Go to the dermatologist. I hear that they have treatment that can help with stretch marks as well.
I have also learned that sometimes, the hole in the wall clubs have more money then girls think they do and if you have good gift of gab you can get it without doing high contact or so called extras. Please feel free to e-mail if you need to.
"All that glitters is not gold."

I appreciate the positive attitude in most of your post however I'm not sure I read this last part right... You are telling bigger girls that they can get more money with "so called" extras? Not only is that revolting but if someone does not feel that they can make money dancing without breaking the law and putting their self and everyone in their club in jeopardy they really should not be dancing.

Re: For BBW strippers and/or girls who have lost alot of weight
I agree with the last part...extras are truly revolting!!

I was reading this so what is so wrong with working in a ethnic club money is money I dont understand I am want to be a stripper and I am black

Re: For BBW strippers and/or girls who have lost alot of weight
As for stretch marks, I got a loooot when I went through puberty, but puberty was tough on my body, i gained a lot of weight around 13/14 and then gradually evened out, but my boobs came in at 17 when I went from a b cup- a dd cup in 1 year, so I have tons on my boobs too. The nice thing though is that these are not very visible at all when I am under a certain weight...they flare up if I go over a certain point, but I feel I start to look bad and feel bad around that point too (not comfortable enough to dance) so for the rest of my life I'd like to stay far away from that weight...the only exception being during pregnancy perhaps.
As far as dancing as a bbw...I feel I am kind of on the fence there, I had a rough year last year and gained a bunch of weight, and at my heaviest I was maybe pushing into that category at a 14 and 5' 7". It did not affect my earnings directly, though it did make it harder psychologically for me to get into work as I didn't feel as sexy, so I did not work as much, so you could say it affected them indirectly. Right now I am back down to a 10 and maintaining comfortably until graduation, after which I plan to drop down to an 8 which is my goal. I have been this size for most of my dancing career, which I would place more in the "curvy" category rather than bbw as my waist is small relative to my other stats. I am also fairly muscular and strong, and my background is german (we are generally not very tiny people frame wise), so I do feel my current size "fits" my body. Being the big girl in a strip club is about being the BEST girl. If you are big because you are really overweight with a smaller frame than that's different than if you are just a bigger girl in general.
Not going to lie, watching the male obsession with Christina Hendricks over the last few years has definitely changed my feelings about my size. I used to hate it, because I knew it would never be possible for me to be really thin, and therefore I thought, be really attractive. But you can be attractive without being thin, the issue is being FIT. Just because you can be attractive at a larger size doesn't mean that is an excuse to eat crap and not take care of yourself! The recent shift toward curvier girls as a new standard for beauty has just made beauty more attainable to many more women, take advantage of it!
You talked about being pestered by customers at a higher weight, I have never experienced this, but like I said I am a bigger dancer in comparison to other dancers, but a pretty normal sized girl in general, so I don't think guys could really say a lot. I have had customers honestly tell me they are into very tiny girls, but I don't find that offensive, I know that I am not tiny, so if someone is a fan of the itty bitty titty comittee, that's cool...moving right along...the guys that are into the non-skinny look make up for it in my wallet. nbd. Obviously I prefer to work in clubs that have more customers of the latter kind, but the only angle I see weight being a restriction in exotic dancing is if it is very excessive, and during the hiring process where success all depends on one person's opinion and not many, like on any given night at work.

These really are the best kind of customers. I feel like sometimes guys are worried they're insulting us by saying "oh I want somebody with/without _____" But wasting my time trying to be 'nice' is a much worse thing.
-
Re: For BBW strippers and/or girls who have lost alot of weight
^I agree, but they have reasons to be scared of insulting us because...i think we've all seen the girl who's had a few too many lose her shit all over a guy for some silly reason or another. Also another girl who's larger but not as accepting of herself might be offended because she's more insecure...depends on the person

Re: For BBW strippers and/or girls who have lost alot of weight
I have a silly trick, I use the spray on pantyhose, because I have tawny brown skin it goes on and its like airbrushing the marks away.

Re: For BBW strippers and/or girls who have lost alot of weight
I am a 14/16 so just like someone said ^^ I just know where to work. & also I really don't look as heavy as I am so I guess that's a bonus. I have big boobs & 49 inch hips. I play up my best features & I get outfits designed to hide my problem area until I have it under control. I've never had kids either but I have stretch marks on my lower back that I don't like so thanks for the tips. :-)

Re: For BBW strippers and/or girls who have lost alot of weight
Reading this thread is making me wanting to go dance ASAP. Pregnancy wasn't as bad as I though it was going to be; I had lost most of the pregnancy weight, I have no tummy (in fact, my belly shrank in less than a week), most stretch marks had faded/gotten pale, but I'm way more curvaceous than before (I still got those "mommy" hips/ass and I'm nursing). However, I feel kinda self conscious about my new (yet temporal) body.

Re: For BBW strippers and/or girls who have lost alot of weight
I weight 200lbs size 14/15 jeans and 38ddd size breast, I tried applying to what people call the high baller club and got denied. I really want to start dancing for income, might even do escorting ( why have free sex with a jerk that breaks you heart when you could get paid) on average in 2014 how much would a bbw girl make at a dive bar?
-
Re: For BBW strippers and/or girls who have lost alot of weight
Depends on where you're at and how you carry your weight.
-
Re: For BBW strippers and/or girls who have lost alot of weight
Agreed with Tempest. I once danced at a club with a BBW who was also black but she banked. The reason is because her weight was only in her butt and boobs and men loved it. I also danced with several large women who had flabby bellies and to be honest it was gross and they had no business dancing. The one club started hiring a lot of these flabby dancers and men stopped coming in.

Re: For BBW strippers and/or girls who have lost alot of weight
It's funny because I have applied at multiple clubs and only two would hire me. However, I make 600+ per night at this place. At the other clubs I auditioned at, when I went around for my tips, I got loads of compliments and multiple guys asked to take me in the back. I really don't think customers are as rigid in their standards as the managers may think. Maybe I am naive, but I think those clubs lose out by making assumptions about me because of my weight. (btw, I am not even that big.... I am 5 feet and 140 but I carry it very well and I have large boobs.) I personally don't get it. I don't think every stripper should have to look like a stick with balloon tits.

BMI is not very accurate, especially for dancers, athletes and people with either very small or very large bone structures. You should rely more on your body fat % (is a different number than the BMI).

Re: For BBW strippers and/or girls who have lost alot of weight
I've lost alot of weight in the last few months since I went back to dancing. I now weigh about 160 or so & I'm 5'8" so I'm still a little heavy but it's mostly in my ass & thighs. I've never been a smaller girl, ever and prob won't ever be. I currently work at a bikini club & it's been harder to walk with $200 consistentley but I chalk that up to me not being able to hustle properly since I can't drink there :/ Alot of the other girls there are smaller than me so I'm not gonna lie, I feel like I get made fun of by some of the customers when I go onstage at times. I try to skip it if i can bc I can make better money talking to guys than being all nervous & self concious up onstage. I'm gonna try this other place about an hr from here that have more thick women dancing there. I dunno I think that some clubs just aren't meant for everyone & those other places are. There's a place for everyone out there :)
