They have been together for about 3 1/2 years now, and live together up in D.C. At first I thought it was strange that she was dating a guy she met from escorting, but hey, they are VERY happy together, so it can and has been done!
Now with that being said, I think it is going to be hard to stay in the adult industry and be in a relationship with this guy. I say this based on my personal past experiences. Just ask yourself this question, and think really hard about it.... Do you want to be with a guy that is okay with you being an escort? Anyways, good luck with everything, hope it works out for you! It's difficult to find quality guys now a days.
Wow.. I think that's awesome how things worked out for her that way. Very interesting. She sounds like a very smart lady btw.
You know what, I asked myself this question last night.. and I honestly don't know what to think of it. You make a very good point J.D. However, wiith my ex boyfriend, he didn't know I was an escort.. and everyone was telling me how horrible for not telling him right? Ok.. so now THIS guy knows I'm an escort and is like "hey You could keep doing what you're doing only if you want to. If not, I will give you the money to start a non adult business." At least he's willing to help me get out of it .. lol. It would be hard to find a guy that's ok with me being in the industry period but only time will tell. You've given me something to think about.

Re: Falling in love with a client... I know I'm such a hyprocrit!
lol wtf is wrong with this forum lately. so much hostility.
Congratulations Malaya. I hope it all works out for you. I don't think there's anything wrong with meeting a guy you've done business with. You'll find love in the strangest places and if you automatically rule it out for some silly reason, who knows what you'd be missing out on. And if it doesn't work out, that's cool too. =)

Please DON'T question my intelligence.. I read a lil too fast that's all. JESSICA, WITH OR WITHOUT KIDS IT DOESN'T MATTER.. Your husband makes 80k a year and you spend 100k a year ? same shit.. Sorry I'm not buying it. Enough said like I said. I guess yall are MILLIONAIRES! Bullshit. Guess what though Here in the United state even a 100k a year is a pretty penny.

Yes please! I will now have a little smoke too and go workout.
No hostility from me thats for sure. I may be a skeptic but as I said I hope I'm wrong.
Jessie did say "I do hope you find a kick ass, sweet, intelligent, faithful, rich guy because that's what you girls deserve."
OK I've tried to make peace so I am on my way.
;D
Re: Falling in love with a client... I know I'm such a hyprocrit!
not meaning to further this debate because i think malaya is intelligent and deserving of meeting a good man, whether it's a former client or not. but i also feel i need to defend jessie's point about her ability to easily spend 100k a year, while her husband makes 80k a year was misread, she makes her own money too...so i see no problem. i don't want this to come across negatively but what is so wrong with a woman making more than her husband...i guess i'm not old-fashion and don't see the man as being the head of the household and the idea that only men are such in marriages makes my head wanna explode.
Re: Falling in love with a client... I know I'm such a hyprocrit!
there is a lot of hostility outside of the "other work" category and i think it spills over onto here.. just sayin.. i'm drunk so don't listen to me LOL
Re: Falling in love with a client... I know I'm such a hyprocrit!
Just got home, Everything went great! We ended up going to cosmos for dinner which is a restaurant/bar type deal. He was looking so F'ING hott btw ;D! We went to his place afterwards and watched movies, stuffed ourselves with junk food and passed out on the couch I got up to get something to drink from the kitchen and realzed it was 1:18a. Totally lost track of time.. thank goodness I picked such an amazing nanny for my daughter. He wants me to meet his friends (the married couple) I dodged yesterday so I'll be doing that tommorrow afternoon.. eh we'll see how that goes.

Ah well everyone's different. It's just how I was raised AND Yes I DO have to be with a guy that makes more than me. I don't think it's wrong...

Re: Falling in love with a client... I know I'm such a hyprocrit!
just have to agree to disagree...i'm a pretty hardcore feminist but those who hold the same belief aren't going to change your mind, everyone's different...hope everything works out with this guy and if not hope you find the right guy who does fit your criteria :)
Re: Falling in love with a client... I know I'm such a hyprocrit!
wow sounds like u had a great time!!! in my personal experience, anytime a guy wants you to meet his close friends, is because he is "proud" of you, obviously LIKES you, and wants to "show you off"
Re: Falling in love with a client... I know I'm such a hyprocrit!
In my humble opinion. Love is love. We can't help who we fall for. We all take risks in love. You can be married to a president, a farmer, or whatever. I you fall out of love with him someday or he with you...or cheating or whatever happens...you took the risk! We can't predict people's future actions.
Don't let negative thoughts in your head win... or "what if's" stop you. Go for what you want. You never know if you don't try. Trust your gut...if you want to continue with the relationship...just let it evolve naturally. If you're not feeling it and its bugging you...then you have to make that desicion too.
I wish you much happiness! :)

Re: Falling in love with a client... I know I'm such a hyprocrit!
Secret Diary of a Call Girl comes to mind. This season Bambi (sorry that is her character name) falls in love with her client.. or rather he too falls in love with her. (I know it is only a tele series but the only one that really relates somewhat to our industry). Anyways, it seems as though she - Bambi- has found true love. It's funny because the focus on this industry, the adult industry, on the whole is quite negative, especially when it comes to media but to watch a series that somewhat encompasses all of the fears, experiences, daily struggles, love etc that yes adult providers/entertainers are also faced with is great to see.
I seem to be rambling a bit but I think that if you have found something special and someone special then go with it and let it lead you where it will lead you.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
Re: Falling in love with a client... I know I'm such a hyprocrit!
Thanks everyone, He's awesome!! I'm extremely picky when it comes to guys and I'm just really into this guy for some reason. Thanks for the kind words!
Re: Falling in love with a client... I know I'm such a hyprocrit!
Congrats and take it one day at a time...you only get to live life once. Wish the best luck with this guy and lots of happiness!
Re: Falling in love with a client... I know I'm such a hyprocrit!
Sorry, but I have been down this road not once, but TWICE! I use to escort, but have quit. Anyway, the 1st guy was a client one time. We were texting and emailing each other (he's in another state) and we seemed to really click. He started flying out to see me and spend weekends. We talked about being together, and long story short he started bringing up the fact that I was an escort, and all the guys I have been with. He decided he didn't want me. So this guy broke my heart. I thought I had learned my lesson with this one, but nope! Lol, I met another guy, who basically did the exact same thing. After that, I decided to stick to my rules and not get too close to any client no matter how cool. I also had a friend who was escorting and met this really greta guy. Despite what happened to me, I didn't think it would happen to her, but it did. I wish you lots of luck but If I was still escorting I would be scared to start a relationship with a man who knew that I did that. I have a boyfriend now, great guy, but I wouldn't even dream of telling him that I use to be an escort. He knows about the webcam, but of course is cool with that because he knows I wont meet anyone in real life

Wonderful advice, Thank you! I'm sorry that happened to you.
Re: Falling in love with a client... I know I'm such a hyprocrit!
Well it was a very hard lesson. But luckily for me I got thru kissing the toads and got the perfect man now! The guy I'm with now is the best bf I have ever had! I do wish you luck, and hopefully this guy your dating will remain open minded and not judge you for the work you have done. Guess what? the first guy I told you about is now emailing me and wanting to know if we can get back together. Told his ass TOO LATE! I already got someone so F%@# OFF! lol I am happy now. Didn't need them jerks anyway ;D
