clubs that don't offer private shows
Again excuse my ignorance as I'm very new to stripping:
There is a club in town, it's probably the most popular one, it is regularly packed. The girls are paid 70 dollars but they are required to dance 8 full sets (six songs each)..the day shift is about 2pm to midnight. Seems like really long hours.
as mentioned, each time I have been in there it is full of people but most of them are sitting at booths drinking with only a few guys at the stages tipping. The stages normally have four or five girls dancing at the same time. I don't think they have any solo dances.
The club does not offer private shows although there is a VIP room.
I have spoken to a few of the girls and they said they make their money from the house base pay and stage tips. While I think it's nice the house pays them to dance, a 10 hour shift is really long.
And with no private shows, how are the girls making any real money?
is it possible that the number of customers in a club is an illusion that it's 'busy'' but not really profitable for dancers? Do some guys just prefer to drink and watch the stage from their booth? Is eight sets a long night (seems that way but I'm not sure)
Go across the street, the other club does not serve alcohol. Is not as busy but is more popular with tourists and military. Shifts are six to seven hours long but you are required to work four nights a week. Girls can dance two to four songs on stage. Private shows are 40/per song. There's no bar so the customers are normally seated at the stage. There is a house fee that ranges from 30 to 50 depending on the night. The house does not take a percentage of private show earnings.
would love more insight into this, as I'm learning the ins and outs of different clubs and set ups. At my current club i make most of my money selling private shows that are 20 each. On a slow night after paying the house fee of seventy dollars I can walk out in the red. On good nights I've maxed at about 500 and that's after a lot of stage and hustling.

They might not be. :-\
Re: clubs that don't offer private shows
so the 'busy' looking atmosphere might be all fluff..many guys but not buys
and the obvious came to mind..if you are a paid hourly dancer you are taxed on that hourly wage AND tips, correct.
Re: clubs that don't offer private shows
10 hours is waaaaay too long. You should be able to wrap up a fair amount of cash in 4 to 6 hours at the most.
It sounds weird to be making 7 dollars an hour as a stripper plus tips.
Isn't that what waitresses in restaurants make roughly?
Re: clubs that don't offer private shows
I think this situation really depends on the dancer. If the dancer is great at selling lap dances then she'd be better off at the no-alcohol club. If she's not good at selling anything or good at selling conversation time then she's be better at the club you are looking at.
Re: clubs that don't offer private shows
that was my thought..70 bucks for 8 sets? that could last 10 hours? i can't do anything for ten hours but sleep.
many of the girls say they come and go as they please during busier hours and just forego the house pay..but then if they are working just for stage tips and no shows, either they are doing really good on stage or don't mind walking out with next to nil
Re: clubs that don't offer private shows
The only way to really know which one you'd do best in is to try them all. Why not club hop for a while?
Re: clubs that don't offer private shows
^ Yep. Try both.
I think I'd like the hustlin' club better ........
Re: clubs that don't offer private shows
would love to club hop..
yeah I love stage dancing but at the paid hourly club, you dance with a few girls on stage with you, it's not really dancing. My first club we had solo stage dances..I LOVED those although the tips varied, I really love dancing.
The hustle club requires four days a week but the hours are only 6 hours long. I start to slide downhill after six hours..just so tiring. But six would be fine
well, we'll see where I end up tonight :) at least there's options.
