Customer Service = Money.
So, in this economy we're competing more than ever. There are more girls at the clubs, more nasty dudes wanting more, more managers with their hands out.
I think some of us have forgotten customer service. I know it sucks when you're just waiting, waiting waiting for a customer to walk through the door. It's easy to have a bad attitude. But remember it only takes one person to make your night.
Smile at everyone. Don't look bored onstage. Be nice! Be aware of your surroundings.
I post this because some very close friends of mine took a friend of mine who is out of the army on leave to my old home club saturday night. Between the 3 of them, they had over $1000 to spend. It wasn't busy, there were about 12-15 dancers on shift, and they couldn't get anyone's attention. Asking girls to come over after they got offstage, tipping them onstage, trying to wave to them across the room. They literally were walking up to girls with cash in their hand trying to get a dance.
ONE girl finally came up to them and was nice, and left with a good portion of their cash.
My army friend is so annoyed at the club, he won't go back. The next night they went to another club and spent all night getting dances and rooms.
Moral of the story?
talk to EVERYONE... Be nice to EVERYONE....
You never know who has money to spend.
(this public service announcement was brought to you by the letter M... for money)
Re: Customer Service = Money.
Army guys and veterans are so awesome. They tend to be more willing to spend money and they're easy to talk to.
It makes me sad people are throwing away this kind of business where I would be more than happy to make both of us have a wonderful time.
Re: Customer Service = Money.
Ahhh, military pay days... I always love those!
Re: Customer Service = Money.
word i love military guys once.
last week i had a military guy spend 1200 on me with no hustling. the whole vip time was me listening to his crazy stories, and he had some really good ones :).
and i think the most surprising was a military guy who was 20 who spent over a G on me back in january.
so yea, you never know who is willing to spend until you try to sell them.
Re: Customer Service = Money.
I live and dance in a military town. The most $$$ I ever make is off of military guys. Some of the girls won't talk to them cause they think they don't have money and would rather sit with an older white guy. That's fine. I've gotten so much $$$ off these guys. I think it's because my hubby is a Marine...I speak their language. They feel they can relate to me and when they talk to me about work, I understand everything they are talking about. I think it's all in how you talk to them.
Re: Customer Service = Money.
Fuck and i almost went in saturday night aghhhhhhh
Re: Customer Service = Money.
I looooooove it when the Navy is in town. ::)
Re: Customer Service = Money.
At my club, some (not all) of the military guys are cheap. We have a $10 cover, and they'll start bitching immediately. Asking for a military discount, and saying shit like, "Dude, I put my life in danger fighting for you and this country, you can't give me a break?" I've had a few marines and army dudes (recent recruits--I can tell just by listening to them talk that they're fresh out of basic) try that line on me, trying to get free dances or extras, and I let them have it. My dad was a pilot in the air force, and he got a spinal cord injury serving in the mid-80's, and now he can barely walk, and he's been this way since before I was born. So trying the whole guilt-trip line on me fucking sets me OFF. They're not all like that, but the portion who are tend to stick out in my mind.
I've had quite a few Navy guys who are awesome, though. Had one a few weeks ago blow like $200 on me within a half-hour.
However, back to the main topic: Customer Service is certainly extremely important, and it bugs me that most girls in this industry tend to forget that. At my club, the majority of the girls are TERRIBLE about this. They sit on their asses at the bar or upstairs in the dressing room. I'll be making my rounds, and I'll frequently end up talking to a guy who's been there for 45 minutes or an hour, and says I'm the first girl to approach him. A good portion of the time they'll get a dance, so that means $$$ for me. But sometimes they're just angry, and it's killed the fantasy for them. I don't understand. Approach everyone at least once. Even if it's just the "wanna dance" approach. It's better than nothing, and hey, let's admit it--sometimes "wanna dance" works. It takes sooo little effort, and you never know who is sitting there like a deer in the headlights with a grand in his pocket, waiting to spend it on the first girl who looks at him.
Re: Customer Service = Money.
^^^^
I've gotten shit like that from military guys but they STFU when I tell them that I served too.
